My mother worked for a dog rescue when I was in high school and I helped care for hundreds of dogs of all shapes and sizes for many years both in my own home and in other people's homes. I also worked at a pet supplies store for over four years, which included learning a great deal of knowledge about pet nutrition, safety, grooming, etc. along with spending most days a week interacting with dogs of all shapes and sizes. As a result, I generally have a pretty good sense for when a pet is uncomfortable or afraid and I've been in situations before where I was able to calm down an anxious pet and actually get them to like me by the end of it. I've also owned two different cats over the last 10 years, both with very different personalities and temperaments and while I have more experience with dogs, I definitely consider myself more of a cat person! I've been dog walking for many years and have made some great relationships with many dogs and cats (and their humans)! My schedule is generally very flexible so I can usually cater to last minute requests or changes, please message me with specifics and I'll do whatever I can to work with you :)

Safety, trust & environment
I always defer to the owner's information and my experience with the pet. Some dogs need lots of encouragement, and some prefer more space. I like to play it by ear but I find that most animals are happy to have some company and especially love a long walk!

Schedule
I work full time from home and I have high flexibility in my hours so I usually make bookings between Monday - Friday during my work hours but can cater to weekend bookings when my schedule allows.

- Please let me know if your pet has any aversions to other animals or people, just so I can protect your pet's, mine, and everyone else's safety. I usually make a habit of avoiding other dogs while out walking, just out of an abundance of caution, but it's helpful to know if your dog can be aggressive or reactive to other dogs.
