In addition, she had the service of pickup and drop off, which was extremely helpful for me as I was tied up helping with the wedding. Previously, my only option had been taking Sitka to a boarding kennel. Every time it would be about a week of her coming down from all the stress and anxiety of being around all the barking misbehaved dogs. Typically would come back with some kind of stomach indigestion. The important thing, is that she needs medication twice a day, and with the boarding kennel I really wondered how consistent the medication administration was. About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.

About: I have done many long term and short term pet sitting jobs for friends, family and co workers since I was 10-12 years old. I worked on a volunteer basis at a family owned pet shop where I was the primary caregiver for the animals. I provided them with food, water, medications, extra care if needed etc. When my employer from the pet shop would go on long vacations I boarded their dog at my house while they were away. About: Kelly grew up in a household who’s mom’s part time job was a dog sitter/ boarder so 10 years of living at home in my adulthood taught me a lot! I’ve taken care of most breeds of dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them, meeting their needs and training if needed. We live on a property with lots of space to roam around on leash (a fenced yard is a plan) with walks to trails and beaches everyday. I walk or run yara everyday with swims, fetch, and many adventures. At your home we can play, go for runs or forest/beach walks, or if they're older and a bit lazy that's okay we will hang out and enjoy each other's company. I can bathe them and tend to hygiene as needed, feed them, give them any needed medication and anything else they may need.

About: I have taken care of animals as small as cats and Shih Tzus all the way up to Irish Wolfhounds and horses! No animal is too big or small! (Excluding boarding since I can’t exactly bring a horse into my apartment haha) I am currently working part time so I can likely find time to fit in the pup. I am quite flexible and the animals come first! At my home the puppers would have 2-3 walks per day and potty breaks every 2-4 hours depending on the pup! I have multiple great trails within walking distance and a plethora more within a short drive!

About: I have done drop ins and had friends/family dogs stay with me for the last 2 years and have owned my own (not anymore) dogs on and off for my whole life A pet lover with time to spare. I currently work 5 hours a day during the week and can provide early morning, afternoon and evening visits. I have a large fenced front and back yard. All animals must be well socialized with children if they are staying here, otherwise I can do drop-ins without children.
About: I have been a dog owner for over 15 years! Many of my friends and family members have me watch their pets when they are away, especially since my dog Bucky and I are always out and about. I have had a ton of experience with a wide range of dogs, all with different levels of discipline. My pets have ranged from small breeds like a chihuahua to a larger breed like a boarder collie.
