“Amber did a fabulous job taking care of Ranger. She was calm and thoughtful with our exuberant young husky. Communication with Amber was easy and she sent lots of photos to keep us up to date. I am pretty sure Ranger looked back over his shoulder as we walked back to the car at the end of the day. I would recommend Amber and will call on her again.”

“I was a bit nervous leaving my pup with a stranger for the first time but Adam was awesome, he provided updates and pictures throughout and allowed her to be where she felt most comfortable, even when that meant outside waiting for my return. He even had her equipped with a gps collar incase she escaped. She also got along well with their little dogs!”

“Marie and her dog were simply amazing at looking after my 3 month old puppy for two consecutive days! He was so happy that he almost didn’t want to leave! He had plenty of outside play time and was happy puppy when he went to sleep. Marie is a dog lover and expert herself, her dog is extremely well trained and polite, a good example for my puppy:)”

About: I grew up with dogs and had them in my life since I was 8 years old. The world is just a better place with animals in it. I am just getting my business of the ground and have time during the week to look after your furry family members. My hours are flexible and if I have to pick my kids up from school, dance etc, I can always take your furry friend with me, my girls love animals. We have a big fenced backyard at our house and I also love to go out on hikes, the dog parc or the lake or ocean if your dogs like to swim or paddle board.
About: I have had dogs in my life for over 20 years. I love my own pets and would treat yours like my own. I have a safe and secure yard for play and love to walk in the neighborhood's wooded trails with leashed dogs. I am currently semi retired and available week days or for holidays and weekends for existing clients. I always make sure I am home when having a guest dog. I have a fenced yard with two small terriers. I believe that dogs need walks and outdoor playtime to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. I walk the dogs 2 times per day. I also volunteer to walk dogs for seniors so the dog enjoys exercise and being outside!
“A big shout out to Diana and Andrew for taking our pets last minute. We really appreciated all of your communication as well as suggestions to visit the area. If we are ever back, we will be sure to visit you again.”

About: I have been a dog owner for over 15 years! Many of my friends and family members have me watch their pets when they are away, especially since my dog Bucky and I are always out and about. I have had a ton of experience with a wide range of dogs, all with different levels of discipline. My pets have ranged from small breeds like a chihuahua to a larger breed like a boarder collie. I usually walk my dogs in many different areas around the city. Regardless of your pups needs, I will be able to take them on a nice adventure through the neighbourhood, going at the pace that is best suited for their physical abilities! Please note that Bucky will always join us on our adventures, but he loves everyone! I am in school doing a flexible part time program so I have lots of availability to hangout with your dog. I do work part time but this varies each week. We will play enrichment games, play with toys, the dogs can tussle in the park, or go on a sniff-ahari. Whatever works best for your dog, we will incorporate into our time together
About: Seven years ago, I found my best adventure buddy, Nikita. We're always out and about, exploring new places, hiking, mountain biking, swimming and adventuring together. I'd love to help take care of your pup whenever you're at work or away for a few days. Your dog must be ok with other dogs. 😊 I am currently on 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule so I’ll have lots of time to play with your pup while on my time off (whenever I am available for bookings). I have a house in Courtenay with a big fenced backyard where the doggos can play. There are also couple trails near by I like to go to.
About: Kelly grew up in a household who’s mom’s part time job was a dog sitter/ boarder so 10 years of living at home in my adulthood taught me a lot! I’ve taken care of most breeds of dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them, meeting their needs and training if needed. My uncle and grandfather are also both veterinarians so volunteering at their clinic growing up taught me a lot and is nice to have them as an emergency contact for any questions. Ian grew up in a household of dogs his whole life, having breeds including Tibetan terrier, labs and retrievers. In adolescence he started a dog walking part time job with his friends and loves being around animals. We both love dogs so much and miss having them around terribly- hence getting excited at the opportunity to spend time with yours when you need! Kelly is a casual employee as a nurse so is able to schedule her shifts herself. Ian is an ecologist and is often able to coordinate working from home - so there will always be someone home when we are taking care of your doggo. We view animals as part of the family and that’s how we treat them. We live in a pet-friendly building in Commercial-Broadway with multiple parks within a short walking distance. We are both extremely trustworthy people and you can rely on us to love and take care of your animals like we could our own- if not better ❤️ Kelly is a registered nurse in a casual position and is able to create her own schedule around sitting dogs/ has lots of free time. Ian is currently studying from home so is always around to be with your dog/ take breaks to go on walks! We would treat your home just as we would ours. We are both mature professionals currently living in a pet-friendly apartment in a safe neighbourhood.
About: I am Retired now and need exercise too-want the company of a dog-not quite ready to have my own and there are some great trails / beaches around my home I Love their company and Personalities I do have a preference for Goldens as you can see by my photo. I have been step mom to quite a few and can provide excellent references I am here for spring and summer and fall but do go south for the winters Have a hatchback SUV so would be able to take them to the beach if properly trained to give them a good workout. I can host a medium size dog in my home if they have been trained and are not constant barkers. Just give me a try
“Avery was amazing with my two very different dogs. Professional, kind, friendly, and knowledgeable! Even my high-anxiety Weim was calm and happy with her. Will definitely visit again!”

“Zakari was flexible and very patient with our schedule since we were making last minute plans. He was thorough in collecting all the important/pertinent information about Jett. He also has a lovely dog who befriended Jett quickly. Jett had a great day hanging out in Zak's backyard, going for river swims and walks around town. Zak's place is super convenient in Courtney. Definitely would contact Zak again when needing some great dog care while in Courtney.”

Kylee was very responsive and had great communication with us from the time we reached out to her sending photo updates on how Ru was doing through his stay. We felt confident with him in her care which allowed us to enjoy our evening out. Kylee is also knowledgeable on introducing dogs and on dog behaviours which is very reassuring! Ru looks like he enjoyed his time which means so much! Thank you Kylie :)

Thanks for taking good care of my furry friend! Miss Buffy is a bit of a nervous nelly and can be slow to warm up but she sure loves spending time with Avery and her pup. Avery is flexible, accommodating, and showed dedication to looking after our furry friends! Thanks again
