Dog Daycare in Powell River

About: Had dogs all my life and trained and rehabilitated my 15 year old border collie. Recently said good bye to both family dogs. Experience with puppies, senior dogs, unique dog medical needs, and nervous dispositions. I work full time from home, can offer daily dog walks, very active family life on the weekend. Dogs can come along for any and all the adventures where appropriate. Biking, hiking, beach plays, trail runs. Back yard not fenced, very friendly German Shepard shares the yard. Steps away from the beach so many strolls for sniffs and pee breaks. One very excited toddler to pet and play. Has learned to be gentle with dogs.

About: I have taken care of animals as small as cats and Shih Tzus all the way up to Irish Wolfhounds and horses! No animal is too big or small! (Excluding boarding since I can’t exactly bring a horse into my apartment haha) I am currently working part time so I can likely find time to fit in the pup. I am quite flexible and the animals come first! At my home the puppers would have 2-3 walks per day and potty breaks every 2-4 hours depending on the pup! I have multiple great trails within walking distance and a plethora more within a short drive!

“I was a bit nervous leaving my pup with a stranger for the first time but Adam was awesome, he provided updates and pictures throughout and allowed her to be where she felt most comfortable, even when that meant outside waiting for my return. He even had her equipped with a gps collar incase she escaped. She also got along well with their little dogs!”

About: Kelly grew up in a household who’s mom’s part time job was a dog sitter/ boarder so 10 years of living at home in my adulthood taught me a lot! I’ve taken care of most breeds of dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them, meeting their needs and training if needed. My uncle and grandfather are also both veterinarians so volunteering at their clinic growing up taught me a lot and is nice to have them as an emergency contact for any questions. Ian grew up in a household of dogs his whole life, having breeds including Tibetan terrier, labs and retrievers. In adolescence he started a dog walking part time job with his friends and loves being around animals. Kelly is a casual employee as a nurse so is able to schedule her shifts herself. Ian is an ecologist and is often able to coordinate working from home - so there will always be someone home when we are taking care of your doggo. We view animals as part of the family and that’s how we treat them. We now live in Cumberland and love taking care of your dogs whenever we can. We live on a 0.3acre greatly fenced property and love having extra friends around to take on adventures or play fetch and be cozy at home. Kelly is a registered nurse in a casual position and is able to create her own schedule around sitting dogs/ has lots of free time. Ian works from home so is always around to be with your dog/ take breaks to go on walks! We would treat your home just as we would ours. We are both mature professionals currently living in a pet-friendly apartment in a safe neighbourhood.

About: Seven years ago, I found my best adventure buddy, Nikita. We're always out and about, exploring new places, hiking, mountain biking, swimming and adventuring together. I'd love to help take care of your pup whenever you're at work or away for a few days. Your dog must be ok with other dogs. 😊 I am currently on 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule so I’ll have lots of time to play with your pup while on my time off (whenever I am available for bookings). I have a house in Courtenay with a big fenced backyard where the doggos can play. There are also couple trails near by I like to go to.

About: Over 12 years of experience with dogs and cats: training, walking, feeding, and loving care. Reliable, attentive, and passionate about every pet’s unique individual needs. I work online from home so am free to take care of your pups all day long. Late pick up and early drop offs are welcome by request. Dogs stay comfortably in my home, couch time included! They’ll have fresh water and meals (provided by their owner) throughout their stay. Treats and poop bags are always on hand. Pups can enjoy a home-like environment with qualified supervision. The front yard is fully fenced for play time and potty breaks.

About: I always dogsit our friends' dogs and I LOVE it. I have experience with animals that need special cares and I can manage a couch potatoes or an high energy pooch. I already walk or/and run daily with my dog. I have a big fence yard and work from home. My lifestyle fits well with having animals. I can have your furry baby for a few hours, days or weeks, depending on the fit and needs. I have two friendly animals (cat and dog).
