“So glad to have come across Susan, who, while seeing if she was available for caring for Minnie, my Mother, said ... I know Susan and I take my cats to her. Right there, I knew a good reference! 😊 Met with Susan to met prior to leaving Minnie and her little dog Lily and Minnie played well together. Felt peace of mind and loved receiving the pictures Susan sent of Minnie playing with Lily and on their walks. I know I've found my place to leave my wee doggy if ever I need. I know Minnie enjoyed her time there with Susan and Lily and am happy to have found Susan. 🥰”

My experience includes daily walks, overnight sitting, basic grooming, feeding routines, crate training support, and reinforcing positive behavior. About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.
“Brynne was wonderful with our dog - they went on long walks and Remy had the best time. Brynne sent lots of pictures and was super quick to respond to any messages. We definitely hope Remy can stay with her again when we come back.”

“We were very happy with Michaela's understanding and patience of our dog puppy energy. We are grateful to have felt so comfortable leaving our dog in her care. Thank you Michaela, we will book with you again in the future.”

“Yuan looked after my shy, slow to warm up, but affectionate dog while I was away for the weekend! The moment she met myself and my pup, we trusted her kind and intuitive nature. Would book Yuan again in a heartbeat! Great communication and care was provided.”

About: Raised in a home with family dogs to take care of, and lucky enough to have gotten a pup of my own just 10 months ago. Years of experience dog-sitting for family, friends, and others to whom I was recommended. I work part time and make my own schedule, so I can be very flexible to your pet care needs - even with short notice. Dedication to following pet's normal routine, following feeding and medication schedules, ensuring your home security, and sending regular photo and text updates if you wish.

“Tara is literally THE BEST! Our kitty is incredibly timid and particular and Tara was patient, kind and loving, despite maybe not getting much back from our girl. The write-ups Tara sent after each visit were thorough, funny and made us feel like we weren’t so far away, despite being in another country. Tara’s attention to detail and care are impeccable; she just gets it. We felt completely relieved and relaxed knowing Tara was our stand-in. Towards the end of the visits, our kitty warmed to Tara. She knows animals and even our cat couldn’t resist her. Do not hesitate to get Tara to look after your furry family. We are so happy to have found her and will continue to ask Tara to look after our kitty.”

“Andrea was fantastic and was really accommodating with our last minute booking. Our shy dog Alba enjoyed having a friend for the afternoon while we explored Powell River. We would definitely use Andrea again!”
About: I have taken care of animals as small as cats and Shih Tzus all the way up to Irish Wolfhounds and horses! No animal is too big or small! (Excluding boarding since I can’t exactly bring a horse into my apartment haha) I am currently working part time so I can likely find time to fit in the pup. I am quite flexible and the animals come first! At my home the puppers would have 2-3 walks per day and potty breaks every 2-4 hours depending on the pup! I have multiple great trails within walking distance and a plethora more within a short drive!
“Janine took good care of Darla while I went to go check out the Tulip Festival. Took her on a walk to the beach and ensured she was quite entertained. Janine also frequently sent photo updates and quite responsive when I asked how Darla was doing. ☺️ Highly recommend getting her as a dog sitter.”

About: Kelly grew up in a household who’s mom’s part time job was a dog sitter/ boarder so 10 years of living at home in my adulthood taught me a lot! I’ve taken care of most breeds of dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them, meeting their needs and training if needed. My uncle and grandfather are also both veterinarians so volunteering at their clinic growing up taught me a lot and is nice to have them as an emergency contact for any questions. Ian grew up in a household of dogs his whole life, having breeds including Tibetan terrier, labs and retrievers. In adolescence he started a dog walking part time job with his friends and loves being around animals. Kelly is a casual employee as a nurse so is able to schedule her shifts herself. Ian is an ecologist and is often able to coordinate working from home - so there will always be someone home when we are taking care of your doggo. We view animals as part of the family and that’s how we treat them. We now live in Cumberland and love taking care of your dogs whenever we can. We live on a 0.3acre greatly fenced property and love having extra friends around to take on adventures or play fetch and be cozy at home. Kelly is a registered nurse in a casual position and is able to create her own schedule around sitting dogs/ has lots of free time. Ian works from home so is always around to be with your dog/ take breaks to go on walks! We would treat your home just as we would ours. We are both mature professionals currently living in a pet-friendly apartment in a safe neighbourhood.
About: Hello, Welcome to my profile !! I have always had pets of one type or another in my household and taken care of them for more than 15 years. I'm the one you find in the corner on the floor at a party with the dog or sitting in the street petting a puppy I've seen. I am happy to care for your furbabies while you are out and about or on vacation ! I cater to their needs so they are comfortable with me. The house is theirs, I just occupy the space 😅 For anyone with larger dogs, my husband always joins me on puppy walks, so he is more than able to walk your furbaby if you are worried about pulling etc. I am home Full-time so your baby won't need to be left unattended for any longer than it takes to run to the store if needed. I try to keep the same schedule and/rules as the parents have given me so the pets feel at home and are able to continue their routine as uninterrupted as possible.

I have a house in Courtenay with a big fenced backyard where the doggos can play. There are also couple trails near by I like to go to.

“I can’t put it to words how super pleased I was to find such a gem like Andrea. My Fur Friend (Kelsey) totally loves her and she surely helped me out of a dilemma. Couldn’t get Kelsey into a dog Kennel for 2 nights due to his aggression towards other animals. Anyways found Andrea through this app and was a little Leary at first so we had a nice introduction we went on a typical walk with Kelsy. Andrea and Kelsey hit it if perfectly and by the end of our walk Kelsey was totally comfortable and affectionate to her. Returned from my trip and they were just finishing their last walk together. They way these two interacted to each other I knew right then that I made the best decision hiring Andrea. Andrea thank you so much for everything and you definitely will be sought after by myself to be my backup Dog walker. Thank you”
