I help with feeding, walking, playtime, and daily routines while ensuring pets feel safe and loved. I currently work from home Monday to Friday, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I can provide regular potty breaks, playtime, feeding, and companionship during working hours. I’m also fully available on weekends and can be flexible to meet your dog’s routine and needs. I make sure dogs are never left alone for long periods and always receive plenty of attention, care, and supervision throughout their stay with us.

About: I work from home and go for frequent walks with my dog. Our place backs onto a green space so we are out a lot. I work from home and set aside time each morning, afternoon and evening for walks, and can be available if they need to go out. We have a large fenced yard with space to run and play. I always make sure there is plenty of fresh water available, and of course give lots of love and pets.

She took such great care of my pup Reggie and was extra thoughtful and responsible with caring for animals through a heatwave. She provides a calm, loving, cozy environment, and enough enrichment that had Reggie super happy and tired at the end of the day. I don’t think he wanted to leave! “Alexia and her mom Shelley were absolutely amazing! My partner and I were visiting the island and wanted to do a whale watching trip. We knew we didn’t want to leave our dogs in the RV and decided to try to find someone to watch them. We thought it would be a long shot with such short notice and it being on a Sunday but began calling around. After reaching out to quite a few daycares in Nanaimo and Parksville and being told they were full I decided to try using Rover for the first time. I was super nervous but found Alexia and read the reviews and decided to message her. Alexia responded almost immediately and agreed to take both of our dogs for the following day. I asked Alexia a million questions and was worried about the heat wave and she answered everything with no issues and made me feel confident that the dogs would be in good hands. We dropped the dogs off the next day and were greeted by Shelley who was very kind. Shelley showed us where the dogs would be staying and we shared a few details with her as both our dogs had minor ailments at the time. After we left and were on the tour we received many pictures of our dogs from Alexia that were absolutely stunning and she provided us updates on their well being. We enjoyed our tour and weren’t worried at all. When we picked the dogs up you could tell they had a great time and despite the heat they didn’t seem too hot at all. Shelley even let us know that our one dog might have a bladder infection which helped confirm our suspicions we had as well. If we ever return to the island we would definitely reach out to Alexia again if we needed to have our dogs looked after.”

Previously i have been blessed with a Persian cat, a Sheltie, Terrier, Shepherd cross with a whippet (yes beautiful mix), two Golden Retrievers and several other cats. I Also currently volunteer at Alberni SPCA. I lost my 12 year old Golden last year 😥, and cannot emotionally commit to own another dog, so the next best thing for me is to dog sit your fur kids and volunteer my time at the shelter. “Our puppy had the best time with Valeria! When I picked her up she laid at the door and was in no rush to leave haha, and she is so tired which is always a good sign for me of a fun day. She was communicative throughout the day and sent us lots of photos too, which was so nice. We will 100% leave her with Valeria again and already have plans to do so.”
