About: I have owned and cared for animals my entire life. I have owned my own dogs for the last 17 years. My dogs have always been family members to me and are included in everything I do. I have experience administering medications, supplements and dealing with senior pooches in the past. I have cared for many family, friends and acquaintances pets over the years, including multiple at one time. I currently am at home and available 7 days per week. My husband works full time and is off on weekends. I love to go on daily walks (often multiple) and am always up for weekend adventures at the lake, beach or in the forest with whatever furry friends I have tagging along. I have a fully fenced 1 acre property located in the Alberni Valley, about 15 minutes drive from town. I love walking the many nature trails in our area with my dog. Aside from a daily walk or two, weather dependant, you will typically find us outside on the property, gardening or just relaxing. I understand the importance of meeting the specific needs of certain dog breeds, both physical and mental, as I have a Border Collie who requires a fair amount of stimulation (if ya know, ya know). My home is spacious and well set up for doggies to enjoy both outside and indoors. No couch is off limits for the pups! My girl Millie is very well socialized and loves meeting new doggies of all shapes and sizes. Her many doggie friends will tell you she is very calm and well mannered. I do have free range chickens on our property, but haven’t had any issues with proper introduction and supervision, even with dogs who have never been around them before. I would care for your pup as if it were my own and ensure they had nothing but the best time during their stay! They may not even want to leave!

About: Hey! I’m a Veterinary Assistant with 4 years of experience working in clinic. This has taught me many valuable skills including post surgical / wound care, administration of various medications, dietary needs, and many other pet caring skills. I also have spent a great deal of time caring for my own elderly doggy who recently passed from cancer. This in conjunction with my training has given me a great deal of experience working with high need pets who require complicated care. I’ve also done some casual cat and dog sitting for family, friends, and coworkers. Since my own doggie passed I have been missing my pet time and thought this would be the perfect way to get my fix! :) This September I’ll be going into full time school, as a student I will need to be on the VIU campus for 2-8 hours daily on weekdays. About: I’m a past pet owner. I've recently looked after my sisters two small dogs for long weekends or a week at a time in BC while they were away. I’ve even looked after a relatives house, 2 Great Danes, 1 med sized dog and a few cats for a couple weeks when I was a kid with my elderly grandmother. Big responsibility! I’ve also looked after a neighbours cat for a couple weeks twice a day for feeds, daily cat litter cleaning, and music turned on and off with cuddle time. I’m bondable! I’ve volunteered and work for police forces over the years so no record etc. I believe animals have souls and need love and to be cared for. I’m willing to go to your home and water, feed and take your fur baby out for bathroom breaks and a cuddle. This will take a load off your mind as well as physically for your fur babies. I may not have years of getting paid and labelled as “professional” but I’m experienced when loving animals and using common sense to look after them and your home. Any questions, just ask. Cheers. I am a mortgage broker and can work from home. This gives me the flexibility to be with your pets mostly around the clock. Taking pets for walks and out door breaks when required. I will obliviously, learn and note what is needed as per the owner of the pet. I will make sure the pet feels loved and not alone while the owner is away. I will look after the residents as well. Pets are fed and watered in a timely manner and working with the owners schedule as required.
