About: I have been a dog owner for over 15 years! Many of my friends and family members have me watch their pets when they are away, especially since my dog Bucky and I are always out and about. I have had a ton of experience with a wide range of dogs, all with different levels of discipline. My pets have ranged from small breeds like a chihuahua to a larger breed like a boarder collie. I usually walk my dogs in many different areas around the city. Regardless of your pups needs, I will be able to take them on a nice adventure through the neighbourhood, going at the pace that is best suited for their physical abilities! Please note that Bucky will always join us on our adventures, but he loves everyone! I am in school doing a flexible part time program so I have lots of availability to hangout with your dog. I do work part time but this varies each week. We will play enrichment games, play with toys, the dogs can tussle in the park, or go on a sniff-ahari. Whatever works best for your dog, we will incorporate into our time together
“Kelly and Ian were the ideal care takers for our dog while we were on holidays! They suggested a meet and greet walk before hand so that they (including their dog Luca) and our dog could meet and play in a neutral area before dropping Trouble off at their home. Kelly sent us daily updates including photos and videos of how Trouble was doing (which she had settled in minutes of us dropping her off!) They went on multiple hikes/adventures and ensured that she got plenty of exercise and love. The two pups (our dog and theirs) got along so well we were worried Trouble wouldn’t want to leave lol! About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.

About: Kelly grew up in a household who’s mom’s part time job was a dog sitter/ boarder so 10 years of living at home in my adulthood taught me a lot! I’ve taken care of most breeds of dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them, meeting their needs and training if needed. My uncle and grandfather are also both veterinarians so volunteering at their clinic growing up taught me a lot and is nice to have them as an emergency contact for any questions. Ian grew up in a household of dogs his whole life, having breeds including Tibetan terrier, labs and retrievers. In adolescence he started a dog walking part time job with his friends and loves being around animals. Kelly is a casual employee as a nurse so is able to schedule her shifts herself. Ian is an ecologist and is often able to coordinate working from home - so there will always be someone home when we are taking care of your doggo. We view animals as part of the family and that’s how we treat them. We now live in Cumberland and love taking care of your dogs whenever we can. We live on a 0.3acre greatly fenced property and love having extra friends around to take on adventures or play fetch and be cozy at home. Kelly is a registered nurse in a casual position and is able to create her own schedule around sitting dogs/ has lots of free time. Ian works from home so is always around to be with your dog/ take breaks to go on walks! We would treat your home just as we would ours. We are both mature professionals currently living in a pet-friendly apartment in a safe neighbourhood.

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life and have always been very involved in their care. Over the years, I’ve helped walk and pet-sit for family and friends, working with dogs of all sizes from 5 lbs to 65 lbs and all energy levels, from slow neighborhood walkers, who want to smell every blade of grass to high-energy pups who pull every step they take. Because Riley was a senior boy, I have lots of experience supporting older dogs—everything from giving medications to understanding their changing energy levels and mobility needs. I also cared for a cat with long-term health issues for several years, so I’m very comfortable with gentle handling, special routines, and pets who need a little extra attention. Ian has also been around dogs his entire life and helped with Rileys care the last year of his life. His current furry best freind is Sophia the frenchie. He is such a great dog dad to her, making sure her health and wellness is always top priority... and if you know about french bull dogs you would understand this!! ;) We would both love the opportunity to spend time with your dogs, get back to those peaceful walks in nature, and offer the same patience, care, and kindness that we give to our own animals. Whether your pet is young and full of energy or a slow-moving senior with a big heart, We would be honoured to help them feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I am self employed and have a somewhat flexible schedule with various times available to visit your pet or take them for a walk. I am available most mornings, several evenings and weekends. Ian is available most weeknights and weekends. We pay close attention to the little details and will follow any instructions you share so your pet has everything they need to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
About: I am a currently in grad school, completing my master of nursing, and to maintain my mental health I spend all my free time surrounded by dogs! I will spoil your fur baby with love and affection. I have experience in owning my own dogs for over 30 years. My own soul mate fur baby died one year ago (Australian Shepard - I speak Aussie!), and I endeavor to love all other dogs the way I did him. I have experience with senior and sick dogs, and puppies too! Further, I understand the stress of those of us who work in healthcare but own dogs and worry about them during long shifts, so I would be happy to spend time with your fur baby while you are at work helping others. I have a flexible schedule right now, and might be available last minute if you need it, so pls don't be afraid to ask :) I will ensure you doggo or kitty is comfortable with me. I will spoil them with affection, and scritches and scratches. I will play with them, ensure they have eliminated their bladder and bowels, I will ensure they show me their toys and teach me how to play with them. Most importantly, I will ensure they are safe at all times, including when I leave, with access to water. I am great at following instructions for feeding pets, or providing medication, and following any and all instructions and tips for specific dog care routines.
About: I have had dog and cat friends for as long as I can remember. For the past two years, I have been commissioned to take care of my friends and family members furry companions with increasing regularity and have decided that this the best possible way for me to continue doing what I enjoy. My availability is if flexible at the moment as I relocated to the Valley two years ago and have switched gears career-wise. My wife and I have a roommate so boarding is not an option. I am adaptable and consider myself extended family while continuing with daily routines and care needs for each individual furry friend. We will have a fun time together, guaranteed. About: I have been a dog owner for over 15 years! Many of my friends and family members have me watch their pets when they are away, especially since my dog Bucky and I are always out and about. I have had a ton of experience with a wide range of dogs, all with different levels of discipline. My pets have ranged from small breeds like a chihuahua to a larger breed like a boarder collie. I usually walk my dogs in many different areas around the city. Regardless of your pups needs, I will be able to take them on a nice adventure through the neighbourhood, going at the pace that is best suited for their physical abilities! Please note that Bucky will always join us on our adventures, but he loves everyone! I am in school doing a flexible part time program so I have lots of availability to hangout with your dog. I do work part time but this varies each week. We will play enrichment games, play with toys, the dogs can tussle in the park, or go on a sniff-ahari. Whatever works best for your dog, we will incorporate into our time together
“Kelly and Ian were the ideal care takers for our dog while we were on holidays! They suggested a meet and greet walk before hand so that they (including their dog Luca) and our dog could meet and play in a neutral area before dropping Trouble off at their home. Kelly sent us daily updates including photos and videos of how Trouble was doing (which she had settled in minutes of us dropping her off!) They went on multiple hikes/adventures and ensured that she got plenty of exercise and love. The two pups (our dog and theirs) got along so well we were worried Trouble wouldn’t want to leave lol! Fantastic first Rover experience, we would highly recommend Kelly and Ian to anyone who is in need of care for their dog! We look forward to using them again in the future!”
“Lisa and David took amazing care of our puppy - Luna! They were very responsive in the inquiry process and provided pictures and updates while caring for Luna. Their property is perfect for dogs, allowing them a safe space to explore the outdoors, as well as a lovely dog friendly home (which they puppy proofed for Luna!). They have two border collies that welcomed Luna into their pack. Luna came back to us very happy and well behaved.
