“Dominique and family took very good care of our Ava girl. The kids were very tentative and caring aswell as Dominique. They took our girl out on adventure played with her and the kids like to have sleep overs with her aswell as ava. Thank you so much Dominique and family you were all so great and we know Ava is well taking care of in your home and we look forward to her visiting again 😊”

“We simply couldn’t have hoped for a better dog-sitter for Juno. Susan has a calm and positive demeanor which is exactly what our dog needed after being in a very busy household and somewhat traumatized / fearful. Susan lives in a beautiful and serene area, fantastic for walks which your dog will undoubtedly appreciate. We loved receiving updates and photos from our pet which meant so much for us. Susan was also wonderfully flexible and accommodating when we had to prolong the dog’s stay by a few days. We are so grateful to have found her 💕”

About: We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog last fall and would welcome some occasional furry love in our home again! I understand what’s involved in taking care of a dog properly, all while giving them love and attention. I raised a vizsla dog from puppy through to senior and passing on. He had epilepsy which required daily medication his whole life, was a high energy alpha male, and had lots of minor medical issues. I also grew up with a collie-shepherd rescue when I was younger. During the summer months I don’t work, so looking to add a furry friend to our family while I’m home. I have kids, so while we may go out for occasional outings, if the dog isn’t joining us, the dog would only be home for a few hours. During the school year, I would only be gone weekdays for 4-6 hours. I have a fenced rural property (just under an acre) on the edge of Comox, with access to trails and beaches, galore! There is a mudroom inside our home that is a safe place to leave a dog, or a crate if they feel safe. My children understand how to approach and treat dogs carefully and respectfully (they are 7 and 10 years old). With some blankets on the couch, your dog is welcome up for some cuddles! The house is well setup for a dog, as our last one lived here too. There is always access to fresh water for your pup, we have a walk in shower with easy access from the door on tile, and our home is a comfortable temperature year round with a heat pump.
“Marie took really great care of our golden retriever Maggie! We really appreciated the pictures and little updates and Maggie was so happy on your walks and adventures. She got along really well with your two sweet dogs. Thank you!!!”

“Taryn is absolutely terrific! I really appreciated the active communication, she sent lots of photos updates and it was easy to tell the great care that our girl was receiving. Taryn was flexible and accommodating to our requests leaving us very at ease. Will most definitely book again and would recommend to anyone! 😊 thank you so much again!”

“Janine and her family took such great care of Natty-Bo! Lots of fun play-time, couch snuggles, photos and love. This was our first time leaving our pup and we had zero concerns while we were away. Thank you so much for that peace of mind!”

“Lisa and David took amazing care of our puppy - Luna! They were very responsive in the inquiry process and provided pictures and updates while caring for Luna. Their property is perfect for dogs, allowing them a safe space to explore the outdoors, as well as a lovely dog friendly home (which they puppy proofed for Luna!). They have two border collies that welcomed Luna into their pack. Luna came back to us very happy and well behaved. Lisa and David took the time to reinforce the training we were already working on with her. We will definitely use Lisa and David again and highly recommend them!”

“My dog Hank had a great time with Catherine & Douglas! They sent lots of pictures with him playing with their boys, swimming, and relaxing in the yard. I wasn’t sure he was going to want to come home after his doggie holiday. :) Would 100% recommend!”

“Kevin and Jenny did such an amazing job taking care of our dog Dolce. We appreciated receiving pictures, updates of how she was doing and funny stories of our goofy girl along the way. Dolce gets so excited as soon as we turn off the highway and start heading toward their home, it makes us feel such relief knowing she loves them like family and they treat her like one their own.”

“Sean and his wife are wonderfully warm and welcoming. Our dog was comfortable right away in their home. Sean has previous experience with training and caring for his dogs. Our boy had just received surgery and Sean was respectful of his aftercare. I enjoyed the photos they would send me. When the time comes I would definately call them again!”

“We were very happy with Michaela's understanding and patience of our dog puppy energy. We are grateful to have felt so comfortable leaving our dog in her care. Thank you Michaela, we will book with you again in the future.”

“Andrea and Maggie are AMAZING. I honestly can’t put into words how great they were for my Ol’ Gurl Friday. She’s a particular gal and they treated her exactly how she likes being treated. She went on amazing outdoor adventures and got to cozy up while at Andrea’s home. Would definitely recommend her and her pup Maggie!”

About: Hi there! I recently said goodbye to my senior dog, Riley, who was just shy of 13. He was my daily walking buddy, my constant companion, and truly the heart of my home. Losing him has left a big space in my life, and I find myself missing the simple joy of walking with a four-legged friend and sharing that unconditional love and companionship. Because Riley was a senior boy, I have lots of experience supporting older dogs—everything from giving medications to understanding their changing energy levels and mobility needs. I also cared for a cat with long-term health issues for several years, so I’m very comfortable with gentle handling, special routines, and pets who need a little extra attention. Ian has also been around dogs his entire life and helped with Rileys care the last year of his life. His current furry best freind is Sophia the frenchie. He is such a great dog dad to her, making sure her health and wellness is always top priority... and if you know about french bull dogs you would understand this!! ;) We would both love the opportunity to spend time with your dogs, get back to those peaceful walks in nature, and offer the same patience, care, and kindness that we give to our own animals. Whether your pet is young and full of energy or a slow-moving senior with a big heart, We would be honoured to help them feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I am self employed and have a somewhat flexible schedule with various times available to visit your pet or take them for a walk. I am available most mornings, several evenings and weekends. Ian is available most weeknights and weekends. We pay close attention to the little details and will follow any instructions you share so your pet has everything they need to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
“Tamara did an excellent job taking care of my cat and my home while I was away. She was respectful, friendly, easy to communicate with, and always quick to respond to messages. She also sent me pictures of my cat, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a happy cat and a well-looked-after house. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her.”

“With three "girls" (cats) to look after, with such varying personalities, Katelyn did a wonderful job caring for them. I got a few updates on how they were doing while away. Katelyn seemed happy, competent and self assured, which really kept me from worrying about leaving them. Communication was clear and responses were quick. The house was spotless and the cats completely relaxed and happy when we got home. She even took her own garbage!! I would highly recommend Katelyn if you are looking for a responsible and caring pet sitter.”

“Madison was a lifesaver when I was in a pinch! Tuna is pretty easygoing, but I'm so grateful she stepped in while I was out of town for 30 hours. Even without an in-person meeting, she visited twice, kept me well-informed, and made everything seamless. Highly recommend!”

“Anthony took great care of my cat when I was away, she is very anxious and shy but I felt confident leaving my cat with him, he even took my mail in and sent me updates and a little video to reassure me! I would definitively book Anthony again!!”

“Fiona is an exceptional animal sitter. She left our home clean and tidy and made sure the bunnies were fed and happy. She spent extra time with them and sent lots of updates. We felt totally relaxed while away knowing she was caring for our animals.”

“The cats were well taking care of. Alex was around and able to play and cuddle with them. My cats love her. The place was tidy and clean on my return. I'm very happy with Alex's service and pricing and would recommend her to anybody.”

About: I grew up with cats, and by my teenage years I was the go-to pet sitter for friends, family and friends of friends. Over time, that turned into paid, freelance work caring for both cats and dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs. I have experience with both kittens and senior cats, including those who need oral medication, and I’m comfortable caring for multiple cats at once while keeping their routines and needs separate and respected. What matters most to me is that your pet feels safe and not disrupted while you’re away. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Every animal is different, and I follow your routines, your preferences, and your pet’s cues. Some animals want play and energy, others want space and a calm presence. I’m attentive to that and adjust accordingly. I’m calm, gentle, and patient with animals. I respect their space and let them come to me, which tends to work especially well for shy or more sensitive pets. At the same time, I genuinely love connecting with animals, so if your pet is the cuddly type, they’ll get plenty of affection too. I offer a free meet and greet so we can make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. This also helps me understand your pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can care for them properly.

About: I’ve grown up with cats my entire life and have had nine cats over the years, each with different personalities and care needs. Through this hands-on experience, I’ve developed a strong understanding of feline behavior, body language, and the importance of patience and consistency. I’ve cared for confident, playful cats as well as shy or timid ones who need extra time to feel safe. I’m more than willing to sit quietly on the floor for as long as it takes so a nervous cat can build trust and come out on their own terms. For more energetic cats, I enjoy interactive play, whether that’s wand toys, laser pointers, or enrichment activities and I’m happy to engage with them until they’re satisfied. I also have personal experience caring for cats with additional medical needs. I grew up with a cat who suffered oxygen deprivation as a kitten and required extra attention and ongoing care, which taught me to be especially observant and gentle. In addition, I have cared for a diabetic cat and am comfortable following structured feeding schedules and monitoring routines carefully. Overall, I’m calm, patient, and committed to ensuring each cat feels safe, respected, and well cared for in their home environment.

“Samantha was a wonderful sister for our Boden. Samantha was a pleasure to connect with before and during her sit with Boden, she is a prompt communicator, reliable, responsible and very sweet. Everyday she touched base with some photos and how he was making out. She left our home clean and in order, everything was looked after for Boden and especially the love and attention he craves. We would have Sam back anytime and highly recommend her to sit your fur baby. :)”

About: I volunteer twice a week at a local cat shelter, where I clean and care for the cats, and come home and care for my 2 kitties. I enjoy every cat I meet, and enjoy finding learning their personalities.
“Linda was great in caring for our kitten! She was available short-notice on a long weekend, including to exchange keys. The pictures she provided of her play dates were also much appreciated. She also provided great recommendations to us as new cat-parents. Would definitely use Linda again.”

“Bailey was absolutely fantastic with my black lab and my moms 2 year old mix! I last minute had to dog sit for my mom and being 8months pregnant, needed a hand giving her young dog the exercise she needs. Axel my lab was able to tag along and they came back from their walks super happy, tired, and relaxed. Bailey was very professional and you could tell loved dogs! Thank you Bailey, we will be using you again in the near future!”

About: Puppies to seniors, simple to medically challenged, I have had experience with most. Friends, families and neighbours have entrusted me with their fur babies, and have never been disappointed. References always available. I am retired, and get my daily joy caring for pets, and my favorite part of my day is taking pups walking in the woods. Walking, playing, cuddling, feed and any meds. Animals with special needs are in good hands as I have cared for blind and deaf animals. Puppy traing is fun, and seniors are given plenty of time to meander as much as their comfort allows.
About: I am a currently in grad school, completing my master of nursing, and to maintain my mental health I spend all my free time surrounded by dogs! I will spoil your fur baby with love and affection. I have experience in owning my own dogs for over 30 years. My own soul mate fur baby died one year ago (Australian Shepard - I speak Aussie!), and I endeavor to love all other dogs the way I did him. I have experience with senior and sick dogs, and puppies too! Further, I understand the stress of those of us who work in healthcare but own dogs and worry about them during long shifts, so I would be happy to spend time with your fur baby while you are at work helping others. I have a flexible schedule right now, and might be available last minute if you need it, so pls don't be afraid to ask :) I will ensure you doggo or kitty is comfortable with me. I will spoil them with affection, and scritches and scratches. I will play with them, ensure they have eliminated their bladder and bowels, I will ensure they show me their toys and teach me how to play with them. Most importantly, I will ensure they are safe at all times, including when I leave, with access to water. I am great at following instructions for feeding pets, or providing medication, and following any and all instructions and tips for specific dog care routines.
“Amelia is very professional, reliable, and kind. I have a very sensitive and at times anxious pup, and Amelia took the time to come meet him prior so we knew it was the right fit. Amelia is extremely patient and positive with my dog and I would 💯 recommend her services :)”

About: I've taken care of Huskies and Malamutes most my life. Experience with German Shepards too. I'm good with all dog breeds in general and enjoy making sure they're happy. Despite huskies being notoriously energetic, noisy, and unruly dogs at times, I've always fostered the chillest, quietest, and easy going huskies. Everyone who meets my dog is ways surprised how well behaved and calm she is. I work different jobs but my schedule is pretty predictable. Teacher on-call, media developer, videographer, tourism/hospitality worker, outdoor enthusiast. Wednesday-Sunday I'm usually free. I usually walk my dog around the block and take her to the exhibition grounds dog park. I have a balcony designated for pet use, as well as a two types of crates to cordon off animals if needed. Access to fresh water, treats, and attention are all easily available.
“Tamara and Luke were great! They took Scout to the beach and she came home happy and exhausted. They are clearly animal lovers and I felt very comfortable leaving Scout in their care. I will definitely rebook with them again.”

“Samantha is fantastic, we were going to be out of town for a few days so we had her walk our dog. Our dog Lou had a great time, I got pictures each day of a smiling happy dog and he was so excited every day for his walk.”

“I definitely recommend Alexia to look after your pet - she is responsive, attentive, super considerate and kind. Her prior experience with reactive dogs was evident and she took great care of my dog Luke, who's a large anxious rescue with some big feelings!”

About: I have experience taking care of dogs, cats, and parrots. I love animals. I am always gentle with them and will play and pet your furry friend. I do gig work so my availability is fairly flexible. I can make changes when needed and can even do same day care if I’m free. I will follow your orders. I can watch your pets in your house and take them outside in the yard. I can walk them too.
“I would highly recommend Fiona to any pet parents as your pet sitter. She’s a responsible person. She gives you feedback every time. I’ve used rover more than 50 times, I can tell that Fiona is my dog’s favorite sitter above all other sitters she ever met. My dog would quickly running to my door and wagging her little tail waiting to be picked up by Fiona the second she heard Fiona’s footsteps. She’s just so happy. That never happened to her before with other dog sitters. The bond between my dog and Fiona is amazing. I never told Fiona how much I appreciate her love and patience to my dog because I’m not a girl who’s good at socializing and expressing myself. But the truth is that I can always trust Fiona with my dog because I know she’s in good hands. The smile on my dogs face melted my heart. I truly appreciate it. Thank you Fiona!”

“Brynne was wonderful with our dog - they went on long walks and Remy had the best time. Brynne sent lots of pictures and was super quick to respond to any messages. We definitely hope Remy can stay with her again when we come back.”

“Willow had an amazing time with Carolyn and her family! She went up the alberni lookout and loved playing in her huge yard. I appreciated all the updates and communication was great. We look forward to seeing them again.”

About: I have done drop ins and had friends/family dogs stay with me for the last 2 years and have owned my own (not anymore) dogs on and off for my whole life A pet lover with time to spare. I currently work 5 hours a day during the week and can provide early morning, afternoon and evening visits. I have a large fenced front and back yard. All animals must be well socialized with children if they are staying here, otherwise I can do drop-ins without children.
“Carol took good care of Aila. Aila had a good time playing with their dog in the fenced yard and I got pictures and updates about how she was doing. Carol is good in communicating I would definitely bring her again.”

“Aparna took excellent care of my dog. Honey went on a long off leash walk everyday and was given lots of time with enrichment toys. Honey loved hanging out with Aparna’s dog. I received many pictures and videos from Aparna. This was my first experience with Rover and it was a very positive experience. I definitely recommend Aparna as a pet sitter!”

“I’m very happy with the care & attention that Brittany provided to Sam! Lots of photo’s & updates throughout her stay. I felt like Sam also had a vacay while we were away with trips to the beach & trails.”

“Yasmine was amazing with our dog, Jasper. Jasper felt very comfortable with Yasmine and settled right in at Yasmine’s home. Loved Yasmine cautious and kind approach to things with Jasper. Will definitely book again.”

“Cat is simply the best! Our Tina had an unforgettable 12-day vacation while we were in Europe. Leaving our beloved Tina behind for almost two weeks was stressful, but Cat turned it into a worry-free experience. Not only did Tina receive exceptional care, but she also had the time of her life playing with Cat's wonderful dogs. It was clear from the moment we picked her up that Tina felt right at home and had formed a special bond with her new furry friends. Cat's communication was top-notch throughout our trip. She sent regular updates and photos, which put our minds at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our time away. We returned to a happy, well-adjusted Tina who was clearly sad to leave her vacation behind (and maybe a little jealous of all the fun she had!). We can't recommend Cat highly enough. She's a true lifesaver and our go-to pet sitter from now on!”
