A job that I love!
Growing up, I always had dogs and cats. When I moved to Nanaimo for school, I missed my pets so much that I started volunteering with ElderDog Nanaimo in 2022. I joined Rover three years ago, and it’s been an amazing journey! Since then, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities: from confident, easygoing pups to those who need extra patience, trust, and understanding. I’ve loved getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I also completed my 208-hour criminology practicum with the BC SPCA, where I worked closely with dogs and cats, learning about their behaviour, backgrounds, and individual needs. I helped administer medication, provided daily care, and gave them the love and support they needed as they prepared to find their forever homes.

I believe in building a genuine connection with every pet while keeping them on their normal routine. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs and always follow your instructions carefully to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy.

Our pup, Winston, like Angela right away. We felt 100% comfortable leaving him in her care. Angela was prompt to respond and even arrived early. We would definitely use Angela again when we travel to Nanaimo.
Angela was very dependable and friendly! Coco enjoyed her 1 hour walks with Angela. Coco got very exited when she was picked up at our house. We felt very comfortable with Angela. We will rebook again in the future.
We had an amazing experience with Angela! She walked our two big, somewhat challenging dogs six times and did a fantastic job every single visit. Angela was very easy to communicate with. My pup was to happy to have a friend stay at the house instead of going away to daycare. Overall great experience and first experience with this app too. Very stoked!

Schedule
Since June 2026, I am a VIU Criminology alumni! At the moment, I am away in Northwestern Ontario helping with wildfire operations, as a fire ranger. I look forward to resuming Rover bookings in October and caring for your pets again! My schedule is generally very flexible, allowing me to provide reliable care for your pets.
