But where does Austin fit in? Dog owners in Austin fell somewhere in the middle of most categories—making them well rounded pet parents. Their strongest personality traits are by far indulgent and sociable, coming in at #6 in the U.S. for both.

Out of the five most common pet owner personality traits, people in Austin stood out as sociable. If you have a dog, you can surely relate to pups stopping to sniff one another on walks. Turns out, nearly 80% of dog owners in Austin are likely to strike up conversation with other dog owners in this scenario. 

The majority (66%) of Austin’s dog owners claim it’s not unlike them to befriend a fellow dog lover, whether it’s at the dog park or just in their neighborhood. It’s safe to say, Austinites are among the friendliest dog owners in the country.
