“Nina was excellent in watching our cat Emmeline. She was gracious enough to spend extra time with her when she came for her visits, despite having to deal with bad weather. Our social Emmeline appreciated this very much! Nina was also very open and communicative, providing us with plenty of updates and pictures. We would love to have Nina watch Emmeline again in the future!”

About: I've trained a lot of puppies, nurtured and fed abandoned kittens and looked after all my dogs as they entered their senior years. I love to hike and play with dogs of all ages and enjoy the company of cats. I have time on my hands now and really want to spend more time with more animals. I know all the dog parks in the area including Westgrovein Alexandria (I am a donor), the Mile at Tysons, Fort Ethan Allen in Arlington, and Cabin John in Maryland. I have a lot of availability in general and with notice can accommodate most days and times including weekends. I have a 4 year old fox terrier who loves other dogs and people, so my regular dog walking includes time for him too. Our dog is always with us, and yours will be too! We no longer use a crate now that he is grown up, but have one large crate for dogs who need private space and peace. We allow off leash play wherever possible and actively seek out dog parks and trails where dogs can run and play to their heart's content.

“Tricia was perfect! She really went above and beyond to take good care of my cats while I was away. I didn’t worry about them once while I was gone, which is honestly a first for me. I hope to always be able to book her in the future!”

“Lauren was a wonderful catsitter for Ajax during our time away. She is prompt and communicative and goes out of her to way to ensure that my concerns are addressed and that she is meeting the needs of our cat. We will definitely book again!”

About: I have grown up around all kinds of animals my entire life. From dogs and cats to rats and lizards, I love them all and love taking care of them. I started dog walking when I was in high school for families in my neighborhood. I’m great with all kinds of animals and all the personalities that come with them. All of my current pets are rescues with a lot of baggage so I truly have seen it all and understand you have to meet any animal (just like humans) where they are at and just be patient and loving. I’m currently working part time at a restaurant so I will have a couple of days off throughout the week and days that I’m working late I can walk or drop by in the mornings or vice versa if I’m working an earlier shift. I treat every animal I meet like my own!! Whatever the owner needs I can do whether that’s walking or feeding or just cuddling up with the fur baby for an hour I can do it. I’m great at following instruction I know everyone has a different way to handle their pets and I will do whatever the owner is comfortable with.

About: Hi everyone! My name is Teyah, and I’m currently stepping into a new chapter that gives me the freedom to work and live with intention. I’ve been the caretaker for my aunt and uncle’s home while they’re away (often for weeks or months at a time). I’ve extended that care to animals ever since I was a child. I have always had pets growing up and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. If you’re looking for someone invested in creating ease for your home and pets while you’re away, I’d love to connect. Professionally, I come from a background in strategic communications and high-stakes management consulting—work that’s sharpened my attention to detail, reliability, and calm under pressure. I know how to take initiative, communicate clearly, and handle the unexpected with care (whether that’s a crash filing or a curious cat in a kitchen cabinet). I was raised to treat people, animals, and spaces with reverence—and that instinct has never left me. I take pride in nurturing homes to feel calm, safe, vibey, and warm. Whether it’s watering plants, making sure the mail is brought in, prepping a cozy meal, tending to the garden, or caring after a furry companion, I strive to bring presence and peace into every space I enter. If you're interested in having me as your pet sitter while you're away, please feel free to shoot me a message! Pet care is a natural part of my daily rhythm. I structure my time to ensure animals get consistent feeding, play, and companionship, adapting to their unique needs and routines. I treat every pet and home with the same respect and care I give my own. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, walks, litter box hygiene, medications, and any special instructions. I prioritize a calm, safe environment where pets feel comfortable and owners can trust they’re in good hands.
