About: Dogs have been one of the most important parts of my life for over twenty years, and being on Rover is my way of staying connected to that. I was a dog owner from 2001 until 2026. Our Beagle, Beans, was with us for 14.9 years — from 2001 to 2016. Beans was a super confident, super independent part lemonhead beagle we had at birth. He moved with us across 3 countries, and 7 homes. If you know Beagles, they are hounds with minds of their own. It was all about him! He got to live in New York and spent his last year here in Jersey City. Then in 2016 we adopted Sammy, an impossibly fluffy Bichon/Pomeranian mix, at seven years old. We don't know his background but what we do know was that one day, he was dropped off at Shake-A-Paw, along with his pillow. He spent 3 months there, since most preferred a younger pup. He turned out to be the quirkiest, most loving dog who made it his mission to just be there for us. Walking alongside Sammy through his senior years — learning his rhythms, knowing when he needed a slower pace or a longer sniff, watching him light up at every person he met — taught me more about patience and presence than almost anything else in my life. We lost Sammy last New Year's Eve (2025), and he is missed everyday. What I know from those years is that every dog has a personality, a routine, and a way they like to be loved — and the job of a good sitter is to learn that quickly and honor it completely. I also know what it feels like to be on the other side, trusting someone else with your dog when you can't be there. That trust meant everything to us, and I want to offer that same peace of mind to you. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and day sitting. I'm attentive, reliable, and genuinely happiest when I'm around dogs. Your pet will be safe, comfortable, and well cared for — and honestly, spending time with them means as much to me as it does to them. I’m especially patient and gentle with puppies and dogs who need a little extra time to feel comfortable with someone new. I know that every dog is different, so I take the time to build trust at their pace rather than rushing the process. Whether your pup is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, or happiest curled up next to someone, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I currently work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate both morning and evening walks as well as different times throughout the day. I’m happy to take dogs on longer, leisurely walks so they can get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and time to explore. My schedule is flexible - just reach out and we can discuss a time that works best for you and your pup! Building trust with both you and your pup is my top priority. I want every pup to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I always stay attentive during the walks to make sure your pup can safely enjoy lots of sniffing around and play time outside. What meant the most to me was knowing that Thunder and Bella weren't simply being watched they were genuinely loved and treated like family. Diana was absolutely amazing and did everything to make this a positive experience with this being the very first time my dog has been away from me. Her personality was sweet, kind, accommodating, and very understanding. The videos, pictures, texts, calls and FaceTimes let me know that Rico was safe, happy, and right at home during his time with her. She made sure he had his daily walks and was fed according to his normal schedule. Her dog Blue was also very sweet as well and tolerant of Rico’s puppy energy…our dogs played and walked together and became the best of friends while he was there. Everything went well with the boarding. Ziming kept us posted with regular updates, which was exceedingly nice of her since there were a number of dogs boarding there. There is a back yard with dog toys. Can't say anything negative as she was kind to our dog and accommodating with our schedule.
This is the longest I have left Jax. I was unsure how he would be in a new surrounding and another pet. Taina, her family and Zeus were great with Jax. I received multiple updates throughout the day. He looked very happy. I would definitely consider Taina to pet sit again.
Keirstin was great and provided constant updates about our dog, which was really comforting while traveling abroad. She was very accommodating to drop off and pick up times as well as any other notes we gave her about taking care of our dog.
