About: 9 years of professional pet care, plus many years of owning my own pets, caring for pets of friends and volunteering with shelters. My best friend growing up was my dog Lobo that we got when I was 1 yr old. I grew up loving and caring for animals and caring for them became a natural thing to do for friends and then as a living. I started my professional per care journey in Brooklyn, NY working for Animal's Are Soul, then worked across the country in Florida, for DogSmith of the Emerand Coast and in Salt Lake City, Utah for Mixed Company Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. I moved up from just a dog walker with Mixed Company to Assistant Manager, hiring and training people. I recently spent 2 years as Assistant Manager of Bare Paws. We had many dogs with special needs, such as diabetic cats who needed insulin and dogs who's back legs no longer worked. Old and very young pups. It is my pleasure and joy to make your mutts and fuzzy butts day! I currently work in New York, Time's Square as a performer at RiseNY Museum part time and am pursuing a career in the arts, and my passion. With that I would like to combine my passion for animal care as a part time career to keep my life well rounded and grounded. It is my pleasure and joy to make your mutts and fuzzy butts day In a client's home, I always remove my shoes at the door, get the pup suited properly in harness and leash, put shoes back on and get them out and about. I always have poop bags and paw wipes handy. Before the walk I check for any specific notes that may change daily to ensure that no feeding, or medication is forgotten. I only feed and give medication as specified and after the walk. If crated when I arrive, I will leave crated after walk unless told not to. I try to leave a home untouched and as it was when I arrived. Making sure your pet is safe and has had sufficient exercise and play and relief. Leave fresh water. Take careful notes for the owner, with full description of walk, poo, pee, etc. Including photos. Leave home and Pet feeling safe and relaxed.
“I was very nervous to leave my baby kitten for the first time but from our first meeting, Danielle showed me I had nothing to worry about. She helped bring packages in to the house, helped set out traps when ants came from nowhere and most importantly gave updates on his mood, how he was eating, drinking and sent the best pictures. So so grateful for her exceptional care”

About: I’ve always been someone who loves being around dogs. I’ve cared for high-energy breeds like Belgian Malinois, Huskies, and a Malinois-Husky mix, as well as smaller dogs like Chihuahuas. I know every dog is different, so I take the time to learn what they’re comfortable with and what they enjoy. One thing people notice about me is that I stay calm, even with energetic dogs. I enjoy playing with them, going on walks, and making sure they get the attention and exercise they need. I’m patient, dependable, and I never rush a dog if they need a little extra time to warm up. I’m also learning more about dog training because it’s something I’m passionate about. During walks and visits, I’m happy to reinforce basic commands and good habits if that’s part of your dog’s routine. My goal is simple: make sure your dog is safe, happy, and excited to see me the next time I come by. Pet care is my full-time focus, so I have a flexible schedule and can easily work around your dog’s routine. Whether your pup needs walks, drop-in visits, or daytime care, I have the time and energy to give them my full attention. I enjoy being active and spending time with dogs, so making sure they get plenty of exercise, play, and care is something I genuinely look forward to every day. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any special instructions before every visit or walk. I always keep dogs securely leashed unless we’re in a safe, enclosed area where you’ve said it’s okay to let them off leash. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll treat your space with respect and stick to your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and attention, and I’ll send updates so you know how they’re doing. My goal is to help your dog feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away.
“My cats love Michelle so much. I feel completely comfortable and at ease when she’s watching them. She leaves my home clean and the cats are so happy. She truly is an animal whisperer and I’m so lucky to have her for my babies”

“Stephanie did an amazing job checking in on our skittish kitties. They warmed up to her very well and she sent lots of updates and photos. I will be booking her again and highly recommend her if you are looking for a great cat sitter 🤗”

I specialize in: High-energy dogs that need meaningful exercise Large breeds that benefit from confident handling Dogs that thrive on routine and clear boundaries Shy or socially selective dogs that need patience and calm presence House Sitting (Limited Availability) I take on a limited number of house sitting bookings so I can focus on one household at a time. I don’t split my time across multiple homes. When I’m with your dog, they get consistent care, structure, and real attention throughout the day. This is a good fit for: Puppies or dogs still building routines High-energy dogs that need more than quick visits Dogs that do best with a steady, low-stress environment My goal is to maintain your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible while you’re away. Walks & Drop-Ins For walks and drop-ins, I provide the same level of attentiveness and reliability, with a focus on making each visit meaningful rather than rushed. I prioritize clear communication, so you’ll receive thoughtful updates, photos, and honest notes throughout the stay. I’m looking to build long-term relationships with clients who value consistent, reliable care. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d be happy to set up a meet & greet. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I build my schedule around the dogs I’m caring for. I’m very intentional about giving each pet as much time, attention, and engagement as they need I don’t rush visits or squeeze them in between other obligations. When I’m caring for someone’s dog, they become the priority in my day. Whether it’s extra-long walks, playtime, slow sniff sessions, or just hanging out together for companionship, I make sure your pup gets real, quality time with me. I love being present with dogs, and I’m happiest when I can devote a big chunk of my day to making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. When caring for pets, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where your dog can truly relax and be themselves. I follow any routines, feeding schedules, or special instructions you provide to make the experience seamless and stress-free. “Eimy was excellent! This was our first time using the rover app. She was very communicative and willing to listen to our instructions. Happy to trust her in the future with our fur-baby.”

“I recommend Ian! He took very good care of my cats. He cares. While I was gone, he would call me and express concern if he suspected something was wrong. He was there on time every day for weeks, and always sent me pictures and updates. He even did the cutest drawing of my cat Winston and taped it onto the kitchen cabinet, which I appreciated. I will definitely call on him again to take care of my cats.”

“Spencer was great! My cat warmed up to him quickly! He fed and played with her like how I asked. He communicated well and promptly. I asked him to drop off my packages and mail while I was away. He also agreed to do a neccessary last-minute task of picking up recyclables that had spilled out on at the front. Very helpful too!”

“Julie is AMAZING!!! She is punctual, patient, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable!!! We were so nervous to leave our fur babies for an entire week, but after meeting Julie and seeing her interact with our babies, we weren't worried anymore! She continously went the extra mile by not only taking wonderful care of our babies, but of our house & yard as well!!! We will use Julie EVERY time we need someone to take care of our fur babies!!!”

About: Growing up with dogs and cats, some chill, some with various health issues, I know fully how much love and care is needed especially when they get stressed out without their human I’m currently working on getting back to work after some family care, can’t wait to help people with their four-legged babies. I’m not currently working so I don’t have any conflicts. I’m totally open to changing rates and schedules just left me know! I always trust animals to set their own boundaries and I always try to look and listen. Playing is such an amazing way to bond completely. I always make sure that the dogs are my clients first, and the humans handle the money.

“Jennifer was a fantastic dog walker & carer for our pup who stayed home while we went away. She was open to meeting with us prior, to form a bond with our anxious dog, who warmed up to her instantly! For once, we felt at ease travelling without Kobe. Jennifer also administered his medication everyday with no hiccups and stayed in contact with us daily, which made us feel very reassured. Not only would I recommend her services — we look forward to Jennifer watching Kobe again in the future. If I could give 10 stars I would! ??”

“Frankie was so flexible and reliably came through for me and my fur baby. He was thorough and assured me my kitty was in safe hands when we had our virtual first meeting and apt walk-through. He is an awesome pet sitter and I’m grateful to have had him recommended to me.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
