About: Have an active dog that needs a daily trail run or hike? Have a cuddlebug that needs a cozy spot on the couch? I’m your sitter! I’ve owned and taken care of dogs my whole life. I watch many of my friends/neighbors dogs when they are out of town and always make sure they are happy, fed, and included on adventures. I have experience taking dogs trail running, mountain biking, and backcountry skiing. Your dog will be well loved with me! I currently work part time so I have quite a few days a week that I am available for walks/boarding. I do not work weekends unless I pick up extra shifts at work so that is a great time for boarding as well. I live on a quiet back road with a big yard. There is not a fence. There is a big trail system behind my house and I often take dogs up there for exercise. Inside the house, I am always open to having a dog on the couch or bed as long as the owner is. I am not a partier and am an early morning person. Your dog will be sure to get a morning and evening walk at the minimum. The dogs I walk usually come for any adventure with me, but if you have a senior dog that just needs a place to hang out and be loved on, that’s fine too!

About: Puppies are my expertise! Dog owner and volunteer at the local Truckee Tahoe humane society. Fostered over 30 puppies and dogs. Love taking dogs on fun adventures around Tahoe. My schedule is open for pretty much anything. Live locally and can accommodate anywhere around the lake. Prefer north/west/east shore. But open to other locations around Tahoe. My dog is family. So I will do the same. I understand how important pups are treat them as I would want my dog treated.

About: We are 2 sisters who have always had big dogs around (although no dogs at home currently), and we love taking walks around one of the many beautiful parks in the area. We have one cat of our own, and have experience administering medications, including pills, creams, insulin injections, and blood sugar tests. We have a large car with room for dogs in the back. Please let us know upon booking if you'd like us to walk you dog(s) around your neighborhood, our neighborhood (if nearby) or if you'd like us to take them to a dog park. We are trust-worthy people who follow directions well, so whatever you say is safe for your pets, will be our guideline. We always keep an eye out for any danger! We work from home, so we always have time for walks and pets. We have flexible schedules in general and are glad to work with you to find them best time. About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I am trying to make some money doing the thing I love while taking a gap-year from college, so I have all the time in the world to give your pup all the love and attention they deserve. About: Hey all! You might know me personally, and if not, I’m so glad my profile caught your eye. I’ve been providing trusted pet and house sitting care in the Lake Tahoe area for many years now, through personal referrals, and I’m now expanding my availability here on Rover. I’m well known locally and provide regular care for pets in private homes and condos throughout Tahoe. More commonly I supply my house for your baby’s to board. I don’t except other animals if I’m watching your friend, it’s just myself and your dog/dogs or kitty. I don’t except multiple animals, unless they are all from the same family. I understand how big a deal it is to leave your pet behind, and my goal is always for you to feel completely comfortable and confident while you’re away. To me, pets are family. Your friend will enjoy hanging out with me at your house, rental or at my place. Whether it’s a trip to the lake, a walk around Tahoe’s local trails, or simply just hanging out in the house, I can accommodate whatever you and your pets needs are. If your friend does stay with me they can enjoy the forgiving floors or sunshine on the deck. I have a very pet friendly condo and they can hang out on the couch or bed with me. If you’re ok with it, I’d love to get us outside to enjoy the beach or an easy going walk (depending on owner preferences). I understand the necessity of leashes and prefer to keep my new friends on a leash at all times during our first few visits as we get to know each other. After a while and only if you prefer, we can start the process of letting them get some off leash time while at the beach or on walk. I will adhere to any dietary and allergic needs you may request. I have volunteered many years at the humane society and have been trained by the best at the Truckee location. I enjoy sending you pictures and videos of our pet time together and I am always available for a phone call or text chat while you are away. If your friend needs to lodge with us then we have plenty of options. Whether he or she enjoys sleeping on my bed with me or in a pet bed/kennel that you provide, rest assured your little friend will be warm and cozy at night. If your pet has specific time they like to go potty I will work with their normal schedule. I welcome all animals into my safe home. I’m able to stay the night if needed. I have all hours open from early mornings to late nights in case you want to check out the local nightlife, or your just a busy local. I hope to meet you!!! And can't wait to meet your special dog or cat friend! Pet care is a my daily life. I work very early mornings and I am also available as late as needed if you want to experience Tahoes Night life. I do not accept multiple bookings, so it will be your dog/dogs/cats and I only. If I am showing up on your calendar, then that means I’m available! I am by your pets side the whole time. While in the home we keep doors closed at all times and I like to go out every 45 mins to an hour to go potty, or just get some fresh air. Leashes are required at all times while outside. Fresh clean water bowls and dishes are supplied, as well as plenty of blankets for lounging. If you prefer no walks or outings while on my watch that is just fine, just let me know what your ideal stay for your pet looks like. I am very familiar with senior dogs and can provide gentle outings. I am capable of lifting a 50lb dog into my car, and can help your dog down stairs, as well as carry down to the beach. I take a lot of pictures, you will always know what we are up too!

About: I’m the go-to pet sitter (aka auntie) for friends when they leave town because they know that while they’re on their trip, instead of feeling guilty for leaving, they can trust their pets will be having too much fun with me to miss them too much. I’m the kind of pet-sitter that will let your beloved dog or cat cuddle me every night, make them sweet potato and peanut butter treats, and take the few minutes to practice tricks and develop training at the beginning of every walk to build trust, rapport, and skills. I love getting to see each pet’s quirks come out as we get to know eachother, and have fallen in love with every pet I’ve had the privilege of hanging out with, from older curmudgeons to mischievous rescues. I work from home and love to be active, so I’ll leave the doors open and be around for daytime company, cuddle breaks on the couch, toy time, and escaping to the beach or mountains to explore the wild together once I'm off the clock. I have a fenced backyard and often leave the studio door open during the day so dogs can easily go out to pee as needed, in a secure enclosure. I can only accept 2 dogs at a time for boarding/day care, so you can rest assured your sweet pup is getting lots of care and attention! I value building trust with pets over time, and see each new character as beloved member of a family that deserves to be given the space, love, and respect to thrive in their unique self-expression. I receive ongoing education in collaborative, trust-based training and communication techniques, and am skillful at using them instead of harsh, dominance-based techniques (while still remaining the firm leader and maintaining safety and order).

About: Hi, My name is Peach and I have an 8 year old border collie. We love spending time on the open trails, the park, or playing at home. We are open to all types of animals, Brewer used to live on a ranch so he is accustomed to many different types. We are always looking for a play buddy. Currently, we live in Tahoe City. I am in nursing school and work at the hospital. Making sure Brewer, or whichever animal I am caring for, has enough care and attention is extremely important to me. I make sure there are several different activities throughout the day for animals to stay happy and engaged. I am able to keep my dog at home, while I am also happy to come watch your pet in your home or take her out for walks/playtime.

About: Hi! My name is Erika and I live in Truckee with my partner Sully and our middle aged husky-mix, Willy. Although, we commonly call her by her nickname, Bill. We’ve been providing house and dog sitting for the past few years now as I have a flexible remote job. Typically I bring Willy with me when watching other dogs as she loves to play! My partner, Sully, will help with dog sits at times. We do travel, as we have a travel trailer, so we will dog sit outside the Tahoe area as well when on the road. I work remotely for a small startup based out of Truckee and have a flexible work schedule during the weekday. I walk my pup at least twice a day already but it is always nice to be in the company of other dogs. I keep my dog on-leash on walks to ensure she stays safe. I always make sure to not leave any food out she may get to, as she quite sneaky!
