About: I've had my own dogs, cats, horses and chickens. I've been pet sitting for a few years now. I try to go on as many walks as possible and even bring them to work if the family is ok with it. I love animals of all ages! I have a full-time job but I can work from home 3 days a week. So I have plenty of free time to go out for walks or simply let them outside. I will make sure they get the attention they need. If they are outside I won't leave them out after dark on their own. Lock all doors for other furry visitors. Make sure they have a comfortable bed. Sometimes sleep together if it's ok with the parents. Have lots of toys and time for walks and play.
“Cassidy was incredible! She was quick to jump in at the last minute, super responsive, and not only took excellent care of our dog, but was sure to let us know how everything was going! Will definitely book with her again—can’t thank you enough Cassidy!”

About: I grew up with a dog in my family the majority of my life. I lived near the beach so almost everyday I would walk her down to the beach and play fetch with her, because I knew it was her favorite. In high school I would also wake up super early and walk her before I left for school. I just love spending time with dogs I’m currently in the shoulder season of restaurant business right now so not many shifts are being offered at the moment so I’m trying to incorporate this into my schedule. Things may change later in the end of the month as Tahoe will get busier but I’m trying to do this right now. Honestly I love taking pets on walks, just to give them the opportunity to get there exercise and the chance for them to use the bathroom. Also I’ll make sure that they’re getting the attention they need.
About: I have taken dog training classes at the local animal shelter. I offer puppies plenty of time for teething tug-of-war and have tons of patience with the geriatric slow walkers. I work part time, close to home, which offers plenty of time for dog walking, drop ins and over night care. My hours are flexible. I would keep your dog safe on a leash and have a large crate if that would help them feel secure in a different environment.
About: Friendly & Personal I treat every dog like my own and tailor care to their personality. Reliable & Trustworthy Dependable, communicative, and focused on your dog’s well-being. Fun & Playful Plenty of walks, playtime, and attention for a happy pup. Balanced & Simple Reliable care with love to keep dogs and cats happy and comfortable. Your pet will never be alone. I provide attentive, loving care for your pets and offer flexible scheduling, available any day of the week with a day’s notice. We have a fully fenced yard, so your pets can play and explore safely off-leash under our watchful care. Cats will stay inside the house at all times.
“My cats were super well taken care of while I was out of town, they are really social and Emilie spent time with them and sent updates :) would definitely have her help out again in the future!”

About: Hey all! You might know me personally and if not I’m glad my profile caught your eye! Please take a look, I think I’m the perfect fit for anyone nervous to leave their baby behind….but we all deserve a vacation! To me our pets are family. I do not have children or pets of my own, but I believe pets are our children and so I treat them as such. Your friend will enjoy hanging out with me at your house/rental or at my place, whether its a trip to the lake, a walk around many of the trails Tahoe has to offer or simply just hanging out in the house. If your pup does stay with me they can enjoy the forgiving carpeted floors or sunshine on the deck. I have a very dog friendly condo, they can hang out on the couch or bed, and I love to get us outside and enjoying the beach or an easy going walk (depending on owner preferences). I understand the very necessary importance of leashes and prefer to keep my new friends on a leash at all times during our first few visits as we get to know each other. After a while and only if you prefer we can start the process of letting them get some off leash time while at the beach or on walk. I am aware of the importance of diet and allergies, as well as the importance of making sure your loved one stays hydrated. I am capable of administering medication. I do not own any other animals so that is why I enjoy pet sitting yours! I truly love our furry friends and devote all my attention to my new buddy while we are hanging out. I have volunteered many years at the humane society and have been trained by the best at the Truckee location. I enjoy sending you pictures and updates of our time together and I am always available for a phone call or text chat while you are away. The apartment I live in is big and carpeted with plenty of room to run around. The back deck opens up to the woods for easy access to quick potty breaks. I do have over 20 stairs leading down to my apartment front door from the quiet parking lot above, but I do offer an entrance to the back door that only has 3 steps up to the back deck if your pet has some trouble with stairs. I live close to the lake with plenty of easy access to hiking trails and beaches. If your friend needs to lodge with us then we have plenty of options, whether he or she enjoys the bed provided by you on the floor at the foot of my bed or if your friend enjoys taking over my bed then its fine by me. My significant other is also a huge animal lover and loves to be apart of our excursions and as he works as an editor from home, while I am home full time and dedicate my day to entertaining and loving your friend! We welcome all animals to our safe home. I also am available to babysit at your home (just myself). Throughout the day pictures provided. I’m able to stay the night if needed. I have all hours open from early mornings to ski/board and I’m available late nights in case you want to check out the local nightlife! I hope to meet you!!! And can't wait to meet your special dog or cat friend! Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I work locally in Tahoe and organize my schedule so I can give your pet my full attention when they’re with me. My mornings and evenings usually start and end with outdoor time—whether it’s a walk through the neighborhood, a hike on one of our trails, or just fresh air on the deck. During the day, I make sure pets get regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I’m flexible and can adjust my routine around each pet’s needs, whether that means sticking to a medication schedule, going for longer walks, or creating a calm, quiet environment at home. I am by your pets side the whole time. While in the home we keep doors closed at all times and I consider myself very intuitive about when it’s time to go potty, or just get some fresh air. Leashes are required at all times while outside. Fresh clean water bowls and dishes are supplied, as well as plenty of blankets for lounging. If you prefer no walks or outings while on my watch that is just fine, just let me know what your ideal stay for your pet looks like. I am very familiar with senior dogs and can provide gentle outings as an option as well. If we have a beach day I transport your dog via my Lexus RX-350 (SUV) unless specified to stay on walks close to home. If you are open to walks near by then you are welcome to take a look at the trail we will take or suggest a favorite spot of your pets own.
About: I grew up in Tahoe and love all the wildlife and nature! My grandparents founded one of Oregon’s first canine-crisis-response therapy dog organizations, inspiring my lifelong passion for animals. I’ve raised two Portuguese water dogs and a cat named Merlin. I’ve volunteered at shelters, and studied the human-canine bond in college. Now I’m preparing for med school so I’m looking to help support myself by combining my passion for animals and care! Animals have always been a part of my life that brings me peace and contentment. Being able to care for animals brings me happiness while I study for the MCAT and save money to support myself through med school. I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and have cared for a wide range of temperaments. I take time to understand each dog’s unique personality and needs, adjusting my approach accordingly. Whether a dog needs gentle encouragement, extra training, or space and patience, I can adapt quickly to meet their needs. I always listen closely to the owner’s preferences and concerns, making sure my care aligns with their routines, boundaries, and goals. I understand how hard it can be to be away from your pet and I’m here to help!
About: I am a transplant to California from the Mid-West and am working in Tahoe seasonally as a ski instructor at Alpine Meadows. I grew up with primarily cats, but I've spent over a year living with dogs, as well. I've cat, dog, and house-sat to rave reviews since I was a teenager. You can be sure your pet will be happy and healthy and your home clean and tidy with me! I have reliable transportation and am open to overnight stays as well as drop-ins. I love to stay active and will make sure your pets get plenty of exercise and plenty of cuddles. I am kind and responsible and will be sure to treat your home and animals like my own! Looking forward to meeting you! I am working full-time at the mountain and can take care of animals before and after the workday (8am-4pm + travel time). My days off are Monday and Wednesday. I am able to travel to take care of pets in your home and for house-sitting. I am unable to board pets at my ski lease.
About: Long time pet owner and animal lover! I have experience with dogs and cats of all stages, including high energy breed (Huskies/German Shepherds/Labradors) puppies in the training phase to geriatric, special needs, and aggressive dogs. I adopted a Senior dog and cared for him through his golden years. In his old age, he was no longer comfortable with other dogs, became reactive, and needed special health care before he passed. I understand that certain dogs need more tailored care and I would love to provide that! For the past several years I've done in-home cat sitting for cats of all stages. I've taken care of special needs cats including geriatric and terminally ill that required medication administration, syringe feeding, and extra love and comforting. I have extensive experience taking care of dogs of all sizes and all activity levels. I love taking dogs on hikes and giving lots of pets! I work fully remotely and have a flexible schedule. Typically I'm in a few meetings in the morning and my afternoons are open for longer walks or hikes. I have a fully fenced back yard with a very walker friendly neighborhood with sidewalks. I have a large open floor plan where animals are welcome throughout. I'm happy to let furry friends throughout my house or I can accommodate crating needs.
About: Hello! I'm thrilled at the prospect of caring for your beloved pet. For me, safety is the absolute top priority, closely followed by making sure your furry friend has a great time! My life-long passion for animals started because I was raised with pets and I've turned that passion into hands-on experience: Veterinary Assistant Experience: Working as a vet assistant gave me invaluable insight into animal health, behavior, and care. This background means I'm adept at recognizing subtle changes in well-being and can handle sensitive situations with confidence. Animal Shelter Work: My time at the shelter involved caring for animals with diverse personalities and needs, reinforcing my patience and ability to quickly earn a pet's trust. What I Offer: Whether it's a long, energetic walk, a quiet evening snuggle session on the couch, or providing specialized care, your pet is in excellent hands. I am fully proficient in administering medications (pills, liquids, or injections) and will ensure your pet sticks to their routine. You can also rest assured that your home will be impeccably cared for, leaving you with nothing to worry about while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your pet! I have my own cleaning business and work for myself. I create my own schedule and have plenty of time to schedule walks and overnights I am happy to come to your home to keep your pets comfortable with what they are familiar with. My small home is available for pets to stay as well. I am very attentive to your pets needs and will do everything to make sure they are happy and loved!
About: I grew up with dogs and cats, and often cared for neighbors' pets when they were away. I no longer have pets of my own, so I love to spend time with friends' pets and take their dogs on adventures. They always come back tired and happy! I've cared for animals with special dietary and medicinal needs, and I'm good at making friends with shy animals. I would love to meet your pet! I work Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm. Unfortunately I am unable to visit your pet in the middle of these hours, so if they can't be alone for 8-9 hours, i encourage you to look for a sitter who better fits your needs. Sorry for the inconvenience! I can't bring your pet to my home due to my roommates' 3 cats, but I am happy to make sure your pet can maintain their normal routine in your home, so they can stay fit, happy, and healthy.
“Holly was very attentive and caring with Apollo and consistently sent over updates and cute pictures! I felt at ease with leaving Apollo in her care as I was away on some work trips.”

About: Hi! My dog Enzo and I enjoy hiking around Tahoe. I would love to take your fur friend on all of the adventures with us! I usually spend my days off wandering in the woods and playing at the lake. My ideal day may include a morning hike, evening walk, lake sunset, porch relaxing, reading/Netflix at bedtime with dog cuddles. I can offer as much or as little activity as needed, feeding times flexible, house rules flexible (furniture/no furniture, crate/free roaming) depending on your home routines. I would also be more than happy to take care of your pups while you’re out of town. Enzo and I can come to your place, or your dog can stay with us at ours. I work as an emergency room nurse so my shifts are variable, but I have four days off each week. When I am not working, I am able to be with the dogs doing dog adventures all day long! I am often off work for a week at a time. My schedule is variable because I work in health care. When I am not at the hospital working, I can dedicate the whole day to hanging with the pups Dogs will stay in the house with frequent potty breaks. We have a morning and evening walk each day at the very least - most days I try to spend the majority of the day outside with hikes and lake days

“Audra was amazing. So communicative about what was going on back home with our cats when we were out of town. Really grateful for her help at the last minute and look forward to working with her again!”
