About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. I signed up for Rover because dog sitting helps me get my fix for having a doggy harem. I would love to shower your dog with attention and affection. I volunteer at the local humane society, so I'm very adept at adapting to your dog's needs. I particularly love active dogs, and I'm happy to take your pup on hikes and swims in the lake. I'm also happy to hang out and have a more relaxing day with older, less active pups. Ellie (13) is very well-socialized, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m always happy to go out for a walk or a hike. Ellie, my 13-year-old Lab, is always up for meeting a new dog friend. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

About: Hi! My name is Erika and I live in Truckee with my partner Sully and our middle aged husky-mix, Willy. Although, we commonly call her by her nickname, Bill. We’ve been providing house and dog sitting for the past few years now as I have a flexible remote job. Typically I bring Willy with me when watching other dogs as she loves to play! My partner, Sully, will help with dog sits at times. We do travel, as we have a travel trailer, so we will dog sit outside the Tahoe area as well when on the road. I work remotely for a small startup based out of Truckee and have a flexible work schedule during the weekday. I walk my pup at least twice a day already but it is always nice to be in the company of other dogs. I keep my dog on-leash on walks to ensure she stays safe. I always make sure to not leave any food out she may get to, as she quite sneaky!

About: We are 2 sisters who have always had big dogs around (although no dogs at home currently), and we love taking walks around one of the many beautiful parks in the area. We have one cat of our own, and have experience administering medications, including pills, creams, insulin injections, and blood sugar tests. We have a large car with room for dogs in the back. Please let us know upon booking if you'd like us to walk you dog(s) around your neighborhood, our neighborhood (if nearby) or if you'd like us to take them to a dog park. We are trust-worthy people who follow directions well, so whatever you say is safe for your pets, will be our guideline. We always keep an eye out for any danger! We work from home, so we always have time for walks and pets. We have flexible schedules in general and are glad to work with you to find them best time. We always want to best for any animal and to make sure they are comfortable and happy. Feel free to give us any special instructions or guidelines that will make you dog's walk the best it can be!

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes and personality for years and I continue to care for them now. I’m experienced with walks, feeding, bathing, playtime, and administering basic medications. I’m currently working remotely part-time, so I have a lot of free time and flexibility. I can’t think of anything better to do during my time than care for animals! I have a safe, pet-friendly home with a fenced yard where pets can play. I also have one friendly dog, but I can easily separate or crate dogs if needed to ensure every pet feels safe and comfortable. About: With over 7 years of professional sitter experience, I’m the person you call when you have a very specific way that you like things done, and would really like to leave town without worrying about any of it😆 I genuinely love getting to know animals. I actually want the detailed instructions. My background is in private home management and personal concierge work, so looking after the house comes naturally to me too. If I’m staying in your home, I’m paying attention for mail and packages that may come in. Pet areas kept clean. Plants don't mysteriously die. Trash doesn't pile up. If something looks wrong, I notice it. I've cared for multiple-pet households, senior dogs, pets with special needs and homes during multi-month stays. I'm CPR/First Aid certified for cats and dogs, comfortable following medication routines, including oral and injected medications. I work remotely, which gives me an abundance of flexibility and means I actually do spend time with the animals I'm caring for😉 I work remotely, so I organize my schedule around the animals I'm caring for rather than trying to squeeze them into my day. Morning walk at 6:30? Fine. Medication with dinner? Can do. Your dog insists on conducting a complete neighborhood security inspection before bed? Why not? Because, apparently that's what we're doing! 🤷🏾‍♀️😆 I enjoy it and try to make it fun for your pet. I care for pets in their own home whenever possible and I follow your routines for meals, walks, medications, playtime, bedtime rituals, and all the little quirks that make your pet your pet. I’m also looking after the household while I’m there too. I keep things tidy, bring in packages, monitor the home, and make sure you return to happy pets and a cared-for space. I’m warm with animals and extremely self-sufficient. I'm also a good communicator. You're going to hear from me. You'll get photos, updates and anything important that comes up while you're away And if your dog happens to look suspiciously happy without you, I will gladly provide photo evidence. 😁

About: Your pets will be taken care 24/7, I will walk them, play with them, bathe them, feed them, sleep, and love them like my own I am available 24/7 any day of the week as long as I’m not taking care of my mother or taking care of other pets. I will need to care if your pets in your home. I will feed them , walk them a short distance or miles if they like lwalking, I will bathe them if needed and take care of them if they are sick. No one else will give them the love and attention 24/7.

About: I have taken care of dogs, pretty much my whole life, and have experience with all sorts of dogs. From golden retrievers to dobermans, pit bulls, chihuahuas, and German shepherds, I have experience with all kinds of temperaments and dogs and am able to handle and care for all of them in the ways they need. I volunteer at the Nevada Humane Society and have completed a Fear Free Certification. I have trained all of the dogs I have taken care of and am very dedicated to making sure that they are well taken care of. When they are your best friend, they deserve the best. I will make sure that your dog gets plenty of love and care, and will be played with, and walked around to give them the socialization and exercise they need and want. I currently work full time, but have weekends off, and can sometimes do evenings, and love to spend my free time with pets. I fit pet care into my weekly routine by caring for a german shepherd weekly. I provide care for the pets by taking them on walks, and following any other normal care that the pet would typically require.
