About: I am always the one my friends call when they need someone to watch their pups. Dogs absolutely love me and we always have a great time together. I am reliable and experienced with all sizes and breeds. I have had rescue dogs most of my life so know how to deal with any "issues" that may arise. I have lots of experience in dog training and obedience. I have a huge heart for all animals and will treat your pups like I treat my own - basically my little 4 legged furry kids. I work from home one day a week (Wednesdays) and am home every weekend. However I work close by, have a flexible schedule and am able to run home when and if I need to. I have a dog door to a back deck with a few steps down to a fenced in (4' tall fence) dog run for potty breaks when they need them if not being crated. I will treat your dogs as if they are my own. I can typically provide 3-4 potty breaks a day, treats (if permitted), long walks or runs in the trails or on the beach near my house as I am very active, a dog door to a sunny back deck and dog run that my pups love and couch and bed privilege's (if permitted) are ok with me.

My goal is to make their time with me feel safe, fun, and familiar — whether you’re out skiing, hiking, working, or enjoying the lake. I’m outdoors daily, so dog walks and playtime fit perfectly into my routine. Whether it’s morning walks by the lake or afternoon play sessions, I make sure each dog stays active and happy. My schedule is flexible and I can adjust to your dog’s usual feeding and exercise times. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine — I build my schedule around the dogs I care for. I’m available most weekdays and weekends, and I prioritize regular feeding, walks, and playtime. I check my Rover calendar daily to keep everything up to date and make sure I’m fully available for bookings. Safety and trust are my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I keep their routine consistent and create a calm, structured environment. I follow all feeding instructions, monitor behavior closely, and make sure pets always have fresh water, secure spaces, and plenty of attention. I use leashes on all outdoor walks unless your dog prefers off-leash, check gates/doors, and always keep a close eye during playtime. Your pet’s safety and comfort come first!
About: My family had a dog, black lab retriever, since I was born. Sadly he died a few years ago. My sister recently adopted a dog, chow/German Shepard mix, and I have had to take care of him myself many times, for long periods of time. I am known by my whole family to be the go-to girl for any dog sitting/care needs. I have taken care of dogs from all ages and sizes. I go out of my way to make sure the dog I'm caring for gets exactly what he/she needs and go farther to do things they want, whether it's playing until they can not, more walks, or more pets/cuddles. I work full time and have a dog of my own, but I will always make time for your furry friend. Usually, daily check ups are best for me rather than home stays. Depending on if I am boarding a pet or going to your home, I make every visit meaningful. I don’t just feed and leave, but I take time to make sure your pets needs are met.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets for 10+ years. My first pet was a bunny and watched a few of my friends bunnies at first. I’ve had two pet dogs in the past that needed special attention and have experience giving medicine, especially with senior dogs. I can watch pets during the weekdays and weekend. Anything works from walk check-in and pet sitting. Anytime works if you need a sitter during work hours. I make sure the pets are safe . Provide breaks and play with them. I have experience providing medicine to dogs and cats. I will make sure they are safe and happy
About: As a former kitten & puppy foster parent, cat owner, and dog lover, I’m happy to help accommodate whatever your pet sitting needs are! I grew up with both a dog and a cat and am very comfortable around both. I work full time Monday-Friday during normal business hours so midday visits are a little more challenging, but I’m flexible and happy to try to accommodate any scheduling needs/last minute requests. Let me know how I can help you feel confident that your pet is in good hands! I’m always happy to do whatever a pet parent needs to know that their baby is being properly taken care of.
About: I have taken dog training classes at the local animal shelter. I offer puppies plenty of time for teething tug-of-war and have tons of patience with the geriatric slow walkers. I work part time, close to home, which offers plenty of time for dog walking, drop ins and over night care. My hours are flexible. I would keep your dog safe on a leash and have a large crate if that would help them feel secure in a different environment.
About: I’ve taken care of animals most of my life. I have had dogs and cats as pets and have taken care of both for other people. I currently have a one year old puppy who is very active, so we run/walk the trails daily. I’m happy to do long walks or daily check ins and I can do overnight sitting but my home is too small to have another dog overnight for multiple nights. I’m comfortable with puppies and older dogs. I’m located in Kings Beach and would like to stay within 10 miles. Currently on a career sabbatical. I’m doing freelance work now and would like to focus on pet sitting/walking. I’m available all day minus Sunday/Monday. As long as I have notice, I can be flexible with my schedule. As for pet sitting, I prefer to not have pets at my home overnight. I have a fenced yard, if I bring dogs to play here before going on a walk. Before booking with me, please provide your pets daily routine and any other information that is important for me to know about your pet.
About: I have been a lifelong dog owner and have extensive experience caring for pets. Over the years, I’ve provided reliable pet sitting and dog walking services, ensuring that dogs are happy, healthy, and well-cared for in their owners’ absence. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. From small, energetic breeds to larger, more laid-back dogs, I have experience managing a variety of personalities and needs. Whether it’s an active pup that requires extra playtime or a more reserved dog that needs patience and calm, I know how to adapt to ensure they feel safe and happy. As a stay-at-home mom, pet care fits seamlessly into my routine. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide pets with consistent attention, playtime, and care as needed. My flexible schedule also means I can easily accommodate walks, feeding times, and any special needs the pets may have, ensuring they receive the best care while their owners are away. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I prioritize respecting their space and routines. I ensure the home is left just as I found it, following any specific instructions regarding pet care, feeding, and house rules. I strive to create a calm, comfortable environment for the pets, treating both the animals and the home with care and professionalism.
About: Growing up with dogs my whole life, there has not been a year where we have not had dogs in the house.... meaning we love them! To add to growing up with dogs, I (ambitiously) got a puppy during my senior year of college. This taught me to balance caring for a puppy while excelling in school and enjoying my senior year. This challenge gave me a new insight into putting 100% care into a pet and made my bond grow deeper with my dog, Josie. My family's dog, Molly, is a therapy dog for hospitals and schools allowing me to see the true joy that dogs bring into people's lives. That said, I truly enjoy finding the joy and laughter each dog brings into our home! Working from home, I am truly present to take care of and be attentive to all dogs. There are a few days where I will be unavailable due to travel or subbing at school, but those are blocked off on a weekly basis. Josie and I always start our morning with an activity. Josie loves to go on a morning run, so if your pup is a runner... get ready to join the pack! On the other hand, my family's dog, Molly, loves her walks and play time. We also have a park and great trails in our neighborhood meaning the day is open for adventures. Our condo is in a wonderful area close to the beach with lots of grass and easy access to walking trails. As a home welcome to dogs, we love having them sleep with us but can crate them if that is their safest spot. We have the space to feed dogs separately if needed.

About: Hello. I have been caring for dogs my entire life. My cousin bred Rottweilers, my father had at least 2 Labradors at a time & I'm on my third husky. In addition to that I have been pet sitting for over 20 years. I am an active outdoor lover & the dogs I care for get the benefits of this. I have volunteered in several animal clinics & put safety first in all situations especially in the outdoors. I believe in training methods that include repetition, positive reinforcement, hand & voice recognition as well as treat rewards. I do not believe in physical discipline. I am thankful for the special dog relationships I have experienced & cherish the time with all of these furry, loving souls!??

“Karyna was fantastic! She was available to help me on VERY short notice when I had to unexpectedly go out of town. She came over 3 times a day to walk and feed Jersey and sent pics along the way. I will definitely book Karyna again.”

About: I grew up on a small farm. I've been caretaking and loving animals for as long as I can remember. I lost my long time furry companion just shy of her 18th birthday. I will give the same love and attention to your pet as I do my own pets. I now have a new puppy named Wren that is learning all the new things about being a good Tahoe dog. I live in a small cottage close to a dog friendly beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Because of my small space I can host only one or two pets at a time, giving your pet the individual attention and care that they deserve while you are away. My days revolve around the needs of animals. I have a beautiful garden that I spend most of my daylight hours in. Daily romps at the lake and saunters around the neighborhood ensure plenty of stimulation and exercise. I have a fenced in yard. My cottage has a dog bed next to the fire, a big baskets full of toys and all of the good dog treats. The dog friends that come to visit find joy and peace at the cottage. Dogs love it here. My home is essentially one giant dog bed everywhere.
“Judy was amazing with our dog, Maple, while we were visiting up in Tahoe! We wanted to make sure our young adolescent pup was given a long walk midday while my partner and I were out skiing for the day. Needless to say, we could tell Maple was satisfied because we when we returned she woke from a nap as if she was resting from a good day with Judy. Judy was very communicative, responsive and kept us up to date on the progress of her walk with our Maple!”

Tahoe Vista dog parents share their Rover experiences
Artem is a very good communicator and flexible with the time if you need him to be and he is able to be, which I really appreciated. He is not inexpensive ($100 for 1 hour for 2 dogs), and he did not cover as much ground as other walkers have in the same amount of time (2.3 miles as opposed to 2.7 and 3.0), BUT he is strong and capable even with one of our dogs who is very large, strong and who pulls a lot. I definitely felt like my dogs were in good care with Artem and I would use him again.
