Setting all of that aside, she was so nice to my dog, Roscoe, who seems to have had a blast in her care. Malea sent lots of updates throughout the day, which, if I needed reassuring at all (I didn’t because I instantly trusted her), certainly did the trick. And she was very accommodating when holiday ski traffic was beyond ridiculous getting back to her place for pickup and even nicer when our ski plans changed necessitating a cancellation of our last day of daycare services. I cannot recommend Malea enough, and we will definitely be contacting her again on our next trip to Tahoe.”

About: Growing up with dogs my whole life, there has not been a year where we have not had dogs in the house.... meaning we love them! To add to growing up with dogs, I (ambitiously) got a puppy during my senior year of college. This taught me to balance caring for a puppy while excelling in school and enjoying my senior year. This challenge gave me a new insight into putting 100% care into a pet and made my bond grow deeper with my dog, Josie. My family's dog, Molly, is a therapy dog for hospitals and schools allowing me to see the true joy that dogs bring into people's lives. That said, I truly enjoy finding the joy and laughter each dog brings into our home! Working from home, I am truly present to take care of and be attentive to all dogs. There are a few days where I will be unavailable due to travel or subbing at school, but those are blocked off on a weekly basis. Josie and I always start our morning with an activity. Josie loves to go on a morning run, so if your pup is a runner... get ready to join the pack! On the other hand, my family's dog, Molly, loves her walks and play time. We also have a park and great trails in our neighborhood meaning the day is open for adventures. Our condo is in a wonderful area close to the beach with lots of grass and easy access to walking trails. As a home welcome to dogs, we love having them sleep with us but can crate them if that is their safest spot. We have the space to feed dogs separately if needed.

About: Hi! My dog Enzo and I enjoy hiking around Tahoe. I would love to take your fur friend on all of the adventures with us! I usually spend my days off wandering in the woods and playing at the lake. My ideal day may include a morning hike, evening walk, lake sunset, porch relaxing, reading/Netflix at bedtime with dog cuddles. I can offer as much or as little activity as needed, feeding times flexible, house rules flexible (furniture/no furniture, crate/free roaming) depending on your home routines. I would also be more than happy to take care of your pups while you’re out of town. Enzo and I can come to your place, or your dog can stay with us at ours. I work as an emergency room nurse so my shifts are variable, but I have four days off each week. When I am not working, I am able to be with the dogs doing dog adventures all day long! I am often off work for a week at a time. My schedule is variable because I work in health care. When I am not at the hospital working, I can dedicate the whole day to hanging with the pups Dogs will stay in the house with frequent potty breaks. We have a morning and evening walk each day at the very least - most days I try to spend the majority of the day outside with hikes and lake days

About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years and have cared for many of my family and friends pets while they have been away for periods of time. I’m take very close attention to the details of how one wants their animals to be cared for. I’m not working any other job right now so I have a very flexible schedule. I enjoy taking dogs on walk for multiple walks a day and I’m happy to add any extra requested detail the routine. There are some great trails near my house that are great for dog walks. I’m happy to attend to your dog with any specialized instructions you may have for taking care of them at your house.

“Micaela watched over our senior chihuahua Lilly. Lilly is usally anxious and very timid with strangers, however Micaela made active efforts to relieve her anxiety and make her comfy. Micaela followed instructions and took extra steps when needed. It was nice to get photos throughout the day, and Micaela's responses were always quick. Micaela even took Lilly for a walk before pick up (a last minute request), despite it resulting in going past time. I trust Micaela to make my dog feel comfortable, cared for, and adapt to their needs throughout the day”
