About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

“I was brand new to the area with no established pet sitter and needed to travel last minute. Local kennels couldn’t accommodate me on such short notice. A Google search turned up the Rover app which in turn brought me to Gina and Erik. They had good reviews and repeat customers, so I contacted them via the app. They could accommodate me, had good prices, and asked me if I wanted to come see their home first. My cat is both a mama’s boy and a bit of a scaredy cat. I’d never boarded him before. I was worried he’d think he’d been abandoned again. (He’d been a stray after being adopted as a kitten. He was nine when I adopted him.) He was anxious at first, but in the pictures and videos that Gina and Erik sent, I could see that he was relaxing with them more each day. On the day I was to drive back home, I woke with a migraine. There was no way I could do the drive. I had to ask for an additional day with no advance notice. Fortunately Gina and Erik were able to keep my cat one day longer. Also, I forgot to mention the poopy mess that Gina helped me clean up when I first dropped him off. They provided me with above and beyond service. I wholeheartedly recommend them.”

Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.

About: I have my own 4 year old black lab who loves attention, long walks, and spending time with other dogs. I’ve hosted many dogs through Rover over the past several years and treat every dog as my own. I prefer to walk or dog sit one additional dog at a time so that they can have individualized attention. I will constantly send photos of your pup while they’re with me and will spend time at any of the nearby parks in the city. I work from home full time so I can host your pup when needed. My dog loves to be with other dogs so it’s great to host during the week for extra socializing. I’m typically available on weekends as long as I’m not heading out of town. My dog loves playing with other dogs and loves trips to the park, but he is also in his old man era and will get lazy after a long walk which brings a good balance of chill time and being active.

About: I always be in love with animals, also I have a dog and a guinea pig in Peru, so I take care of them. About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

“I was brand new to the area with no established pet sitter and needed to travel last minute. Local kennels couldn’t accommodate me on such short notice. A Google search turned up the Rover app which in turn brought me to Gina and Erik. They had good reviews and repeat customers, so I contacted them via the app. They could accommodate me, had good prices, and asked me if I wanted to come see their home first. My cat is both a mama’s boy and a bit of a scaredy cat. I’d never boarded him before. I was worried he’d think he’d been abandoned again. (He’d been a stray after being adopted as a kitten. He was nine when I adopted him.) He was anxious at first, but in the pictures and videos that Gina and Erik sent, I could see that he was relaxing with them more each day. On the day I was to drive back home, I woke with a migraine. There was no way I could do the drive. I had to ask for an additional day with no advance notice. Fortunately Gina and Erik were able to keep my cat one day longer. Also, I forgot to mention the poopy mess that Gina helped me clean up when I first dropped him off. They provided me with above and beyond service. I wholeheartedly recommend them.”

I volunteer at the local humane society, so I'm very adept at adapting to your dog's needs. I particularly love active dogs, and I'm happy to take your pup on hikes and swims in the lake. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

She asked a bunch of questions to make sure she knew how to best handle Taquito (on/off leash, if she liked the water, how to best feed, etc) and Taquito was immediately comfortable around her and her pup which is always a relief. She was communicative, sent us a bunch of pictures and flexible with scheduling pick up and drop off. Taquito had the best time and I highly recommend Nayla!”
“Megan was so great! It was our first time using Rover for our two senior Malamutes, and I was very nervous leaving our fur babies in a new place. She not only was wonderful with them, but also with me and my anxiety! She provided a lot of pictures and reassurance that they were doing well. She helped one of my dogs with a scraped nose, and even tried to brush them (they weren’t on board). Megan also has a stocked house with dog supplies, as we didn’t even think to bring anything besides the dogs and food (like when we boarded at a facility).
