About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I raised a Beagle (Billy) from puppyhood and proudly attended dog training classes with him (Billy and I both learned alot !) I've also had the joy of rescuing Summer, a gorgeous ex-show dog Golden Retriever, who was by my side for 13 years. After that was Bammer, an Alaskan Husky Lab mix. He was my adventure buddy, and always kept me on my toes! Besides my own dogs, I've had lots of experience caring for my friends' dogs while they are travelling, so have been able to adapt to all kinds of personalities, temperaments and levels of energy. The silver lining is that I currently have no pets of my own, which means your dog will get all the love, attention, belly rubs, walks, playtime, and couch cuddles they can handle. Whether your pup is an energetic explorer, a pro napper, or somewhere in between, they'll be treated like part of the familly. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, and my goal is simple: to make sure they're happy, safe, loved, and maybe just a little spoiled while you're away. 🐾 I work from home and have a flexible schedule, allowing for plenty of attention, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. I also love getting outside for neighborhood walks, so your pup will get lots of fresh air, exercise, and cuddles. I have a fully fenced yard for safe play and potty breaks, and dogs are welcome inside the home as part of the family. I'll follow your pet's routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while in my care.

About: I am an experienced dog walker with a background in SPCA volunteering, wildlife rescue work, and in-home pet sitting. I have lifelong experience with dogs and focus on providing safe, reliable, and attentive care. My goal is to make sure each dog is comfortable, exercised, and well cared for during every walk. Pet care fits into my weekly routine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when I dedicate my time to dog walking and pet care services in the Truckee area. I keep a limited schedule so I can provide reliable, consistent, and focused care for each pet. This allows me to prioritize safety, communication with owners, and quality time with every dog I work with. I focus on providing safe, attentive, and respectful care in each pet’s familiar environment or during walks. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, maintain routines, and prioritize each animal’s comfort and well-being. With experience in SPCA volunteering, wildlife rescue, and in-home pet sitting, I understand how important consistency, patience, and observation are. I make sure pets are always secure, supervised, and treated with calm, reliable handling.

About: I've had dogs since I was a boy with my first pup Emma sleeping in my room every night. Since, my wife Rose and I have adopted our dog Lily as a puppy over 7 years ago and before that cared for an ederly dog, Breyer, for about a year and a half where we made his last year comfortable. Last year we also adopted a couple kitties Frank and Poppy who can be precocious but generally keep to themselves. Lily is the biggest sweetheart (ask anyone on Rover) and now that we have our own home I want to invite other dogs over for playtime, boarding, and all the walking they can ever need. Lily has been through extensive professional training which included detailed methods for us on how to treat and take care of all kinds of dogs. I work from home full time on a flexible schedule so I can tend to dogs as needed. We have a big fenced in yard for play and the usual routine would be a long walk about 3 in the afternoon with frequent potty breaks as needed. Fully fenced in yard, dog house outside with a dog door. Essentially, if your pup comes to our house they are treated like a member of our family.

About: I have had dogs my entire life and will treat yours as my own. I am happy to send pictures and updates of our walk or time together while you are away. I can take your dog on a walk around the neighborhood, run, hike, to the river or lake, or whatever you suggest. I can provide pet sitting at your house or my own. I have a home with a fenced in yard perfect for doggy day care. I have a flexible schedule that can fit your needs. I'm looking forward to meeting your pup! I am a local teacher who works Mon-Wed so those days I am gone during school hours. Thur-Sun and summer I am available with a flexible schedule. I live in a quiet neighborhood with a fenced in yard that’s perfect for a pup. My most recent dog was an old golden retriever with medical needs so I am used to providing special care.

I’m currently working part time so I’ve got lots of free time for pet care. I hike or run ever day so I’d love to take dogs on these adventures. I’m a caring house sitter and leave homes clean and neat. I will care for pets in their own homes or take them for walks in the area. I’m happy to transport a pet in my climate controlled vehicle to exercise areas nearby.

About: I've always enjoyed taking care of animals since I can remember. For the past 10 years, I've had family friends, coworkers, friends of friends, etc. reach out to me to either host their pets or at take care of them at their places; and I feel lucky to do so! I want to make sure every pup feels safe, loved on, and sleepy from a day of adventure! I have a pretty flexible schedule and am able to work remote a few days a week. I also have a great boss, who allows dogs to come to the office, if that is what the dog parents want! I live in a 3-bedroom condo, with only 2 rooms occupied, and plenty of space. We have a front porch that is able to be closed off, but I never leave the dogs fully unattended outside. My roommate does have a medium size girl dog, named Kalli. There are 2 dog parks in my neighborhood and plenty of trails. I would allow them to sleep on the couch if they wanted to, or with me, or in the guest room - whichever the dog and dog parent prefer!

We have a friendly, playful 9 month Great Dane who is already over 100 lbs so I wanted someone who was comfortable with that size. He is friendly, was here on time and was good with my dog. The pup came back happy and was pleased to see Zac on subsequent visits. I recommend him and will use again when needed.”

About: We have taken care of animals all our lives and have a genuine love for each of them. We have experience with it all; new puppies and kittens, as well as older furry friends who may need special treatment and/or administering medication. Between the both of us, we always make it a priority to work with our pups with lots of playtime, exercise, training and socialization daily. We both are self employed and create our own schedules so we are flexible and work together to ensure our pets have an enjoyable & active day. We have a large dog-friendly fenced-in yard as well as amazing trails just outside our backdoor. Our Aussie-Border Collie mix, Penny is super friendly and submissive and gets along with everyone. She is super gentle when needed and can hold her own with larger dogs also. We have a very well socialized cat, Eleanor, who LOVES dogs and visitors.

About: Raised on a cattle ranch, I have had experience with animals large and small my whole life. I joined Rover about a few years ago, shortly after my 120 pound lab of 9 years passed away, I wanted to be able to be around dogs and be able to be active by going on hikes and out to dog beach, but wasn't quite ready to bring to a new puppy into my life. I have house sat for many clients over the years: friends, co-workers & students families. I love to go on long walks, am comfortable administering medication if needed & providing lots of love for your dear furry friend(s). It’s been 7 years since I brought my lab puppy Pilot home & he absolutely loves having other dogs come to stay and/or join in on our daily adventures. Since covid hit he especially loves that I am a work from home dog mom now and we take a considerable amount of additional walks/hikes/bike rides each day. I would welcome anyone who is looking for Daily walks/adventures as well as longer term pet sitting to reach out as I would love to watch your furry friends. My dog Pilot would love to meet more friends to play with. Please note: I am unable to accommodate pets with any type of aggressive tendencies. I work full time from home, so your pet will be cared for and with the company of myself and my lab for their entire stay. I have a huge property with a doggie door and live near a variety of trails and lakes that can be accessed right out our door for our exercising adventures

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent, comfortable, and stress-free as possible. I make sure they are fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise through walks and playtime, and receive lots of attention, companionship, and supervision while in my care. I also pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they feel safe and well cared for in their own environment. When I lived in Cameron Park, I cared for five dogs of my own and kept them all very active through daily walks, outdoor time, and structured routines. Since moving, I no longer have pets of my own due to limited space and financial stability, but my experience with multiple dogs has given me strong hands-on knowledge of managing different personalities and energy levels at once. This experience has helped me stay confident and attentive when caring for other people’s pets, and I treat every animal like they are my own while they are in my care.

About: I have house sit for neighbors and friends since I was 12 years old, I have watched dogs, cats, even fish. I am great with pets and knowledgeable about a whole range of pets, from dogs to fish to even reptiles, amphibians, and birds. My schedule is flexible, I am available most days unless specified. I work from home as an artist. I would say my max preferred stay length is about 4 days. I have a large yard, live near many trails for walks, and the rest of my family love dogs. I have a dog, Lucy, she is 13 and can get a bit jealous, but overall she is very sweet.
