About: I am an experienced dog walker with a background in SPCA volunteering, wildlife rescue work, and in-home pet sitting. I have lifelong experience with dogs and focus on providing safe, reliable, and attentive care. My goal is to make sure each dog is comfortable, exercised, and well cared for during every walk. Pet care fits into my weekly routine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when I dedicate my time to dog walking and pet care services in the Truckee area. I keep a limited schedule so I can provide reliable, consistent, and focused care for each pet. About: Not only have I had pets my whole life, I have cared for other peoples pets as well. I pride myself as being reliable. I consider our pets as family. Each have personalities, emotions, and specifics needs like every member of our family do. This is how I approach caring for pets. I am an active person so would love to take your pet on adventures. I am a full time graduate engineer student at University of Nevada, Reno. I have classes I have to attend Monday - Thursday for approximate 4-6hrs. When I am not on campus I would love having a furry study buddy to hang out with or stretch my legs with on an adventure. At the moment I can not accept caring for pets at my home, although I more than happy to take your pet on a hike, walk or care for them in your home.

About: Hi, I’m Liz! Dogs have been part of my life since I was young, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for dogs in a variety of in-home settings, including longer-term stays ranging from several months to over a year. I’ve built strong, lasting bonds with each dog, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and needs. More recently, I’ve been providing in-home care for dogs in their own environments, including households with multiple pets. I focus on keeping routines consistent so each dog feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I aim to meet each dog where they are. Pet care is my primary focus, which allows me to spend quality time with the dogs I care for and be attentive to their needs throughout the day. I’m also comfortable supporting older dogs, including monitoring activity levels and helping limit strain (such as excessive jumping) to keep them comfortable and safe. I also care for cats as part of a combined household, and I’m attentive to their individual routines and personalities as well. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone new, and I take that responsibility seriously. About: I grew up with a household of pets. After leaving my childhood home I moved to the Tahoe Truckee area and began working for a veterinarian. I studied animal behavior in college and I continued to work in the veterinary profession until my retirement in 2022, for 40 plus years! I have always devoted myself to the best of care for all of my own pets, including hamsters, parakeets, cats, dogs, rats, and chickens, and to the pets of friends and family including horses. I am very tuned into their health and medical needs as well as their everyday fun and attention needs. I love to walk and am very safety conscious. I am free to offer services many days. Now that I am newly retired I do spend some time traveling away from home or with other part time activities but, in general, my schedule is very flexible. As I currently have a senior cat who is afraid of dogs, I prefer most of my services be in your home or walking your dogs. However, some cat loving, mellow dogs might be possible for short periods in my home as needed. I do not have a fenced yard so outside time in my home would be leash walking time, dependent on the needs of your dog, for safety.

About: I am new to Rover but have dedicated my life to the wellness of animals over the last 20+ years. I love caring for animals and can provide exercise for an active lifestyle or TLC for a calming presence. I am comfortable giving medications, and I can maintain your training specifications. I make my own work schedule and can generally accommodate your pet’s timing needs with a few days notice. I am available most week days and weekends. I have an active dog and senior cat, that also remains active. My free time is spent spoiling them. I have also fostered for the humane society at times.

About: I have house sit for neighbors and friends since I was 12 years old, I have watched dogs, cats, even fish. I am great with pets and knowledgeable about a whole range of pets, from dogs to fish to even reptiles, amphibians, and birds. My schedule is flexible, I am available most days unless specified. I work from home as an artist. I would say my max preferred stay length is about 4 days. I have a large yard, live near many trails for walks, and the rest of my family love dogs. I have a dog, Lucy, she is 13 and can get a bit jealous, but overall she is very sweet.

About: Having had two dogs, I love being active with them and making them feel loved. Because that’s what they do for us too, am I right?! I have some experience in basic training, house sitting/dog sitting for short and long periods of time. I have been pet sitting for over ten years for all types of dogs, big and small, fluffy and smooth, young and old. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your dog(s) to keep them and me active, happy, and healthy! I can help with feeding, walking, of course, administering meds, cuddling, and basic training reinforcement. I value dogs as if they are people and acknowledge the amount of care they need. Your pup is/are in good hands with me!

About: My husband and I have always had dogs, I have had cats and bunnies as well. I have fostered kittens as well. We lost our elderly dog ( yes, we know how to carry a dog outside to pee and how to not sneak up on deaf ones) a few years ago. We have two young kids that LOVE animals. Rover is a way for us to give that pet love and hopefully receive it until we get our own dog in future. My husband works from home full time . I work part time out of house, but have chunks of week off of work. We would post availability when We are both around and have no trips planned We have a fenced back yard and an unfenced large front lawn. We have paths near our house for great outdoor walks. We can have well behaved dogs sleep in our room in beds if they like or if they crate sleep, we can place where they are comfortable. We are early risers so if your dog need out in morn, we can accommodate. I am a nurse and feel comfortable administering medications to animals as well.

About: I have taken care of a variety of dogs and cats. I have experience dog walking, dog and cat sitting. I really enjoy bring people's pets outside for exercise and spending time with them at their home. I currently work full time in Reno so I have availability between 3:00 and 5:00 PM M-F but this can change upon specific request. I am available for over nights M-F as well. I enjoy making your animals feel safe and happy. I have experience walking and running with others' dogs and caring for older dogs who just need to be let out side for a short period of time.

About: I have had animals my whole life, though not professionally, but I have taken care of mine and friends animals now for many years. When friends are out of town or at work all day I will take their dogs on walks/hikes or to the lake for some swimming. I do work a full-time job but my job allows me to get out at a decent time so I enjoy hiking and walks after I get out of work so I wouldn't mind a furry buddy with me as I enjoy the outdoors! I already do it for some friends so I might as well offer it up to anyone that would like their pets to get outside more. I have 2 cats so I can't have a dog in the house, which is why I can only offer my services for dog walking or drop in visits.

About: Raised on a cattle ranch, I have had experience with animals large and small my whole life. I joined Rover about a few years ago, shortly after my 120 pound lab of 9 years passed away, I wanted to be able to be around dogs and be able to be active by going on hikes and out to dog beach, but wasn't quite ready to bring to a new puppy into my life. I have house sat for many clients over the years: friends, co-workers & students families. I love to go on long walks, am comfortable administering medication if needed & providing lots of love for your dear furry friend(s). It’s been 7 years since I brought my lab puppy Pilot home & he absolutely loves having other dogs come to stay and/or join in on our daily adventures. Since covid hit he especially loves that I am a work from home dog mom now and we take a considerable amount of additional walks/hikes/bike rides each day. I would welcome anyone who is looking for Daily walks/adventures as well as longer term pet sitting to reach out as I would love to watch your furry friends. My dog Pilot would love to meet more friends to play with. Please note: I am unable to accommodate pets with any type of aggressive tendencies. I work full time from home, so your pet will be cared for and with the company of myself and my lab for their entire stay. I have a huge property with a doggie door and live near a variety of trails and lakes that can be accessed right out our door for our exercising adventures
