About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

Between pet sitting, house sitting, volunteering with Res-Que animal rescue, caring for medical cases, training puppies, and raising our own two dogs, we’ll treat your pets like they’re part of our family. We both work for the Washoe County School District in a self-contained special education classroom. During the school year, we work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and are available before and after work for pet care. We’re off every weekend, all major school breaks, holidays, and throughout the summer, allowing us to offer flexible scheduling and dedicate plenty of quality time, attention, exercise, and love to every pet in our care. Every pet is unique, so we tailor our care to their individual routine and needs. About: We have taken care of animals all our lives and have a genuine love for each of them. We have experience with it all; new puppies and kittens, as well as older furry friends who may need special treatment and/or administering medication. Between the both of us, we always make it a priority to work with our pups with lots of playtime, exercise, training and socialization daily. We both are self employed and create our own schedules so we are flexible and work together to ensure our pets have an enjoyable & active day. We have a large dog-friendly fenced-in yard as well as amazing trails just outside our backdoor. Our Aussie-Border Collie mix, Penny is super friendly and submissive and gets along with everyone. She is super gentle when needed and can hold her own with larger dogs also. We have a very well socialized cat, Eleanor, who LOVES dogs and visitors.

About: I have over a decade of hands-on animal care experience, including working in veterinary hospitals, an emergency animal hospital, animal shelters, and even a wildlife sanctuary specializing in wolves and other wild canines. I’m extremely comfortable handling dogs and cats of all personalities, including nervous, shy, or skittish pets. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, so my son does accompany me on walks and is present in my home for boarding. Because of this, pets in my care do need to be comfortable around young children. However, your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I will never force an interaction between your pet and my child, and I carefully manage their environment to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, elderly, or simply needs some extra patience and attention, I bring professional animal-care experience and a genuine love for what I do. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I am a stay at home mom and other than some other gigs and taking care of my rambunctious 10 month old son, I am fairly free! I have 2 cats at home and they have the most spoiled lives ever! I live in a 2 story smaller home that’s perfect sized for me and my little family. I have a fenced backyard and am walking distance to several parks.

About: I have taken care of dogs, pretty much my whole life, and have experience with all sorts of dogs. From golden retrievers to dobermans, pit bulls, chihuahuas, and German shepherds, I have experience with all kinds of temperaments and dogs and am able to handle and care for all of them in the ways they need. I volunteer at the Nevada Humane Society and have completed a Fear Free Certification. I have trained all of the dogs I have taken care of and am very dedicated to making sure that they are well taken care of. When they are your best friend, they deserve the best. I will make sure that your dog gets plenty of love and care, and will be played with, and walked around to give them the socialization and exercise they need and want. I currently work full time, but have weekends off, and can sometimes do evenings, and love to spend my free time with pets. I fit pet care into my weekly routine by caring for a german shepherd weekly. I provide care for the pets by taking them on walks, and following any other normal care that the pet would typically require. I have 2 five year old german shepherds, as well as a 13 year old cat, so I am well equipped in dealing with multiple pets as well.

About: I've grown up with 2 puppers and a few cats with most recently 12 years with my cat and dog. I am looking to give your pets some good outdoor time or just drop in and make sure they're fed and watered if need be! I can give medications if needed as well and have a background in pharmacy. I work per diem with an irregular schedule. I usually have availability on weekdays and/or afternoons. Due to my schedule I do need at least 24 hour notice before any drop ins or walks! I am just finishing up an educational training job going onto a per diem position that will have plenty of weekdays open for drop ins, walks or other play activities. I will not have a space to pet sit in my home however I will be able to travel to care for your pets at your home or wherever and set it up for your pet's preference.

My mother also ran a pet grooming Business for over 10 years, where I learned how to handle pets that’s aren’t my own. I also worked for a year at petsmart as a groomer/bather myself. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of looking after everything from livestock to house pets—but dogs and cats have always held a special place in my heart. I’ve personally cared for several beloved cats and dogs throughout my life, and I currently share my home with two wonderful cats. I’m especially experienced with Bengal cats, thanks to years of house- and cat-sitting for my sister, who breeds them. At times, I’ve cared for more than 12 cats at once, including administering medications—even to squirmy kittens! It’s not always glamorous, but I’m calm, patient, and confident when it comes to animal care. I’m deeply attuned to animals’ needs and take pride in being gentle, observant, and responsive.
