“Mickenzie did a great job watching taking care of Socks and Kitt last week. She made sure that they were feed during their usual schedule and cleaned their litter boxes twice a day. She even took photos for each visit. Socks seemed to be very comfortable around her. Kitt is still shy, but that is how she has always been around other people. I would be happy to have her take care of them while I am out of town again.”

About: I am an experienced dog walker with a background in SPCA volunteering, wildlife rescue work, and in-home pet sitting. I have lifelong experience with dogs and focus on providing safe, reliable, and attentive care. My goal is to make sure each dog is comfortable, exercised, and well cared for during every walk. Pet care fits into my weekly routine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when I dedicate my time to dog walking and pet care services in the Truckee area. I keep a limited schedule so I can provide reliable, consistent, and focused care for each pet. This allows me to prioritize safety, communication with owners, and quality time with every dog I work with. I focus on providing safe, attentive, and respectful care in each pet’s familiar environment or during walks. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, maintain routines, and prioritize each animal’s comfort and well-being. With experience in SPCA volunteering, wildlife rescue, and in-home pet sitting, I understand how important consistency, patience, and observation are. I make sure pets are always secure, supervised, and treated with calm, reliable handling.

About: Dog walks, runs, hikes, parks, grooming, play time, and chill time. A lot of TLC of course too! Dietary needs vary by breed and by individual. We can talk about feeding schedules and any particular preferences. Experienced with medication administration if needed. I’d love to know more about the personality of your pet(s)! Are they good with other animals? Are they frightened by anything? What are some of their favorite things? Updates on the stay are 1-3 times per day with pictures (catered to your preference) Let’s meet! Have questions? Let’s set up a meet and greet through Rover at no charge. I look forward to meeting you and your fur family. My schedule is extremely flexible and I design it with your pets care in mind. I'm very conscious of each pets needs! I can be active and take your pup(s) on outdoor adventures or snuggle up on the couch with some treats. I am currently not offering pet care services in my home, but I am more than happy to set up a meet & greet so that we can get to know each other and your fur family's needs!

About: I grew up with a household of pets. After leaving my childhood home I moved to the Tahoe Truckee area and began working for a veterinarian. I studied animal behavior in college and I continued to work in the veterinary profession until my retirement in 2022, for 40 plus years! I have always devoted myself to the best of care for all of my own pets, including hamsters, parakeets, cats, dogs, rats, and chickens, and to the pets of friends and family including horses. I am very tuned into their health and medical needs as well as their everyday fun and attention needs. I love to walk and am very safety conscious. I am free to offer services many days. Now that I am newly retired I do spend some time traveling away from home or with other part time activities but, in general, my schedule is very flexible. As I currently have a senior cat who is afraid of dogs, I prefer most of my services be in your home or walking your dogs. However, some cat loving, mellow dogs might be possible for short periods in my home as needed. I do not have a fenced yard so outside time in my home would be leash walking time, dependent on the needs of your dog, for safety.

About: I have house sit for neighbors and friends since I was 12 years old, I have watched dogs, cats, even fish. I am great with pets and knowledgeable about a whole range of pets, from dogs to fish to even reptiles, amphibians, and birds. My schedule is flexible, I am available most days unless specified. I work from home as an artist. I would say my max preferred stay length is about 4 days. I have a large yard, live near many trails for walks, and the rest of my family love dogs. I have a dog, Lucy, she is 13 and can get a bit jealous, but overall she is very sweet.

About: I’ve been around animals all of my life and can’t imagine life without one or several in my own home-and I totally get the anxiety over leaving your loved ones behind while you have to work or go on a trip-let me help you with some of that anxiety the next time you need your furry family members watched! I’ve worked at animal emergency rooms and general animal hospitals for years as an assistant and am skilled at noticing any emergency situations. I can be trusted with your special needs pets, whether it be administering medications or taking easy walks for your elderly pets. I’ve worked at a wildlife sanctuary for 2 years with less-than-friendly wild animals and have trained dogs for a several years at a center for rehabilitation. Animals are my passion in life! I am a full time student juggling part time work and internships before I graduate at UNR next May, but I do my best to maintain a flexible schedule for Rover assignments Mon-Sun, so long as you can give me a 1-3 days notice! I have 2 cats and 2 dogs at home and they have the most spoiled lives ever! I live with a large family and not a lot of space at home however so boarding and sitting in my own home are not an option, unfortunately. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets behind while you have to be away-I’m here to help you and your pets with ease!

About: Having had two dogs, I love being active with them and making them feel loved. Because that’s what they do for us too, am I right?! I have some experience in basic training, house sitting/dog sitting for short and long periods of time. I have been pet sitting for over ten years for all types of dogs, big and small, fluffy and smooth, young and old. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your dog(s) to keep them and me active, happy, and healthy! About: We have taken care of animals all our lives and have a genuine love for each of them. We have experience with it all; new puppies and kittens, as well as older furry friends who may need special treatment and/or administering medication. Between the both of us, we always make it a priority to work with our pups with lots of playtime, exercise, training and socialization daily. We both are self employed and create our own schedules so we are flexible and work together to ensure our pets have an enjoyable & active day. We have a large dog-friendly fenced-in yard as well as amazing trails just outside our backdoor. Our Aussie-Border Collie mix, Penny is super friendly and submissive and gets along with everyone. She is super gentle when needed and can hold her own with larger dogs also. We have a very well socialized cat, Eleanor, who LOVES dogs and visitors.

About: Hi, I'm Cat! Passionate about caring for pets and their people, I've got over 15 years of experience in grooming and veterinary medicine (emergency, urgent care, and general practice), and. I'm comfortable with animals of all shapes and sizes. From cats and dogs to exotics, birds, and pocket pets, I have either owned or worked with them all! Got an active dog that needs to get out of the house more? I love the outdoors and can't wait to go for a walk or hike with them! A tired dog is a happy dog. :) Got a senior or special needs pet who needs medication or more in depth care? I'm comfortable giving oral medications, injections, and subcutaneous fluids, so I'd love to meet them! :) I also have a small wagon that I use to take my special needs senior dog for walks, so if your buddy wants to get outside but maybe can't walk as far as they'd like, I'd be happy to give them a lift! Willing and able to accept short notice bookings! I'm also flexible and more than happy to schedule early morning or late evening walks to accommodate your schedule and keep your dog cool during the summer heat. With over 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine, your pet's health and safety will always be my number one priority. I am comfortable working with reactive and/or aggressive animals and feel all personalities deserve the best care possible no matter what. I am also physically fit (and stronger than I look) and have no issue walking most large and energetic dogs. :)

About: Hi there, I’m Olivia and can’t wait to meet your fur family! My parents had a sweet spot for rescues and adopted dogs from shelters throughout my childhood. I have experience caring for a variety of breeds/sizes, ages, personalities, and levels of health. Over the past 15 years I have also sat for family, friends, and neighbors. I work remotely for a local company so my availability is pretty flexible and will allow me to be with your pup(s) as often as needed. Safety is my top priority. They will be leashed for potty breaks if there isn’t a fenced yard at home and on walks, especially while exploring busy trails and beaches.

About: My husband and I have always had dogs, I have had cats and bunnies as well. I have fostered kittens as well. We lost our elderly dog ( yes, we know how to carry a dog outside to pee and how to not sneak up on deaf ones) a few years ago. We have two young kids that LOVE animals. Rover is a way for us to give that pet love and hopefully receive it until we get our own dog in future. My husband works from home full time . I work part time out of house, but have chunks of week off of work. We would post availability when We are both around and have no trips planned We have a fenced back yard and an unfenced large front lawn. We have paths near our house for great outdoor walks. We can have well behaved dogs sleep in our room in beds if they like or if they crate sleep, we can place where they are comfortable. We are early risers so if your dog need out in morn, we can accommodate. I am a nurse and feel comfortable administering medications to animals as well.

About: I have owned and loved dogs my whole life, and really just love animals in general. I volunteer at the Nevada Humane Society and have completed "Fear Free" training. I have experience with senior dogs and understand their needs and limitations. I will be sure to follow all instructions and love your fur babies as much as you do. I recently retired and now have time to pet all the dogs! I am recently retired so I have a very flexible schedule for dog walking, mid-day potty breaks/play time, or house sitting. I can often take same day requests. I follow all instructions given and I am very good at communicating via text if any questions arise, or if you just want a quick photo of your fur baby. I am extremely trustworthy and reliable. My past career in information technology project management has made me very organized, punctual, and detail oriented.

I have worked as an Assistant Manager attendant at Dr Daves Doggie day care, and a Veterinary Technician for the past 11 years; more recently working at Sierra Pet Clinic for 6yrs.
