I do not have a fenced yard so outside time in my home would be leash walking time, dependent on the needs of your dog, for safety.

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I raised a Beagle (Billy) from puppyhood and proudly attended dog training classes with him (Billy and I both learned alot !) I've also had the joy of rescuing Summer, a gorgeous ex-show dog Golden Retriever, who was by my side for 13 years. After that was Bammer, an Alaskan Husky Lab mix. About: I have lived in Tahoe for 25 years and always had my own dog and watched over my friend's dogs throughout the years. My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.

About: I've always enjoyed taking care of animals since I can remember. For the past 10 years, I've had family friends, coworkers, friends of friends, etc. reach out to me to either host their pets or at take care of them at their places; and I feel lucky to do so! I want to make sure every pup feels safe, loved on, and sleepy from a day of adventure! I have a pretty flexible schedule and am able to work remote a few days a week. I also have a great boss, who allows dogs to come to the office, if that is what the dog parents want! I live in a 3-bedroom condo, with only 2 rooms occupied, and plenty of space. We have a front porch that is able to be closed off, but I never leave the dogs fully unattended outside. My roommate does have a medium size girl dog, named Kalli. There are 2 dog parks in my neighborhood and plenty of trails. I would allow them to sleep on the couch if they wanted to, or with me, or in the guest room - whichever the dog and dog parent prefer!

About: Ive had dogs my entire life. We have three dogs of our own. Two small dogs - Dominic and Bella - who are both 11 years old and easygoing. We have one larger 40 lb entlebucher who is 2.5 years old, very friendly and loves chasing balls. I live with my long time partner of seven years on the west side of Petaluma, CA. I take our dogs frequently on walks, hikes, and/or visits to the dog park. We have two fenced yards, one in front with dog door accessibility and one larger yard in the back. I am preparing to go back to school, so until September I have free time to care for pups and take them on adventures! We go on morning hikes or visits to the dog park everyday as our dogs need exercise. If your dog needs to be walked separately, that is not an issue. I am happy to do multiple walks during the day. For doggy day care they would need to be able to get along with other dogs. We live in a 1000 sq. ft home on a large lot in West Petaluma. The lot is fenced in both the front and back areas. The front area is a lawn where the dogs mainly use it as a restroom, and it has dog door access. In the rear, we have a large yard with garden beds. I often go out there to read or work in the garden and will bring dogs out with me.

I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.
