“Jackson was very responsive and went the extra mile, clearing snow after a storm and always finding the cats under the furniture for a picture. Would hire again without question.”

“Mickenzie did a great job watching taking care of Socks and Kitt last week. She made sure that they were feed during their usual schedule and cleaned their litter boxes twice a day. She even took photos for each visit. Socks seemed to be very comfortable around her. Kitt is still shy, but that is how she has always been around other people. I would be happy to have her take care of them while I am out of town again.”

About: I had a brief job working for Wagg last summer (brief because I moved to work at the Grand Canyon, could not pass up the opportunity). I volunteered at my local animal shelter where I took dog behavior classes. I also was the main care taker of my childhood dog (a lab-weimaraner mix named Maggie). I love animals (obviously) and would feel honored to care for yours. I am currently working full time. However my work is flexible, just let me know what you need and I will try to make it work. :) Being able to read dog body language is very important. Recognizing whale eyes/anxiety or aggression is something I am good at. Some dogs have very high energy levels and need to be met there and some dogs want to sleep all day and just need water, food, and potty breaks. Taking each dog’s personality into consideration is important to me.

“Excellent! My two boys loved her. She was on top of all their needs, she sent us lots of pictures, and updated us on walks and moods. We felt our boys were in very good hands. I would have her Rover for us again hands down!”

“Neesa was so great with my two cats, she took the time to come by and get to know them and the space first, she was very flexible and understanding with schedule adjustments and really transparent. She took great care of my home and even waters my plants. My cats seemed to love her and really warmed up to her, letting her pick them up and sit down for long cuddles. I would 100% recommend her and will be booking her again.”

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up and learned how to care for them. I volunteered at the humane society in Truckee. I have worked for various boarding facilities and have experience with handling all breeds, all shapes, all sizes of dogs! I’m a full-time mom and I am looking to provide supplemental income for my family! I’ve had dogs ever since I was born and I volunteered at the humane society in Truckee as well as worked at the various dog boarding facilities. I love dogs and I have experience with small and large breeds. I would care for an animal as if they were my own with love, compassion, attention to detail, trustworthiness, and expert ability. I know the importance of safety and would be extremely respectful of my clients fur babies.

About: Not only have I had pets my whole life, I have cared for other peoples pets as well. I pride myself as being reliable. I consider our pets as family. Each have personalities, emotions, and specifics needs like every member of our family do. This is how I approach caring for pets. I am an active person so would love to take your pet on adventures. I am a full time engineer student at University of Nevada, Reno. I have classes I have to attend Monday - Thursday for approximate 4-6hrs. When I am not on campus I would love having a furry study buddy to hang out with or stretch my legs with on an adventure. At the moment I can not accept caring for pets at my home, although I more than happy to take your pet on a hike, walk or care for them in your home.

“Thank you for looking after Lily, fantastic job, would recommend to friends and family!”

“Kristina did a terrific job! I would happily book her again and recommend her most highly!”

“Brittany did fantastic taking care of my cat while I was out. Thank you so much!”

About: I've had my own dogs, cats, horses and chickens. I've been pet sitting for a few years now. I try to go on as many walks as possible and even bring them to work if the family is ok with it. I love animals of all ages! I have a full-time job but I can work from home 3 days a week. So I have plenty of free time to go out for walks or simply let them outside. I will make sure they get the attention they need. If they are outside I won't leave them out after dark on their own. Lock all doors for other furry visitors. Make sure they have a comfortable bed. Sometimes sleep together if it's ok with the parents. Have lots of toys and time for walks and play.

About: My husband and I have always had dogs, I have had cats and bunnies as well. I have fostered kittens as well. We lost our elderly dog ( yes, we know how to carry a dog outside to pee and how to not sneak up on deaf ones) a few years ago. We have two young kids that LOVE animals. Rover is a way for us to give that pet love and hopefully receive it until we get our own dog in future. My husband works from home full time . I work part time out of house, but have chunks of week off of work. We would post availability when We are both around and have no trips planned We have a fenced back yard and an unfenced large front lawn. We have paths near our house for great outdoor walks. We can have well behaved dogs sleep in our room in beds if they like or if they crate sleep, we can place where they are comfortable. We are early risers so if your dog need out in morn, we can accommodate. I am a nurse and feel comfortable administering medications to animals as well.

About: I grew up with a household of pets. After leaving my childhood home I moved to the Tahoe Truckee area and began working for a veterinarian. I studied animal behavior in college and I continued to work in the veterinary profession until my retirement in 2022, for 40 plus years! I have always devoted myself to the best of care for all of my own pets, including hamsters, parakeets, cats, dogs, rats, and chickens, and to the pets of friends and family including horses. I am very tuned into their health and medical needs as well as their everyday fun and attention needs. I love to walk and am very safety conscious. I am free to offer services many days. Now that I am newly retired I do spend some time traveling away from home or with other part time activities but, in general, my schedule is very flexible. As I currently have a senior cat who is afraid of dogs, I prefer most of my services be in your home or walking your dogs. However, some cat loving, mellow dogs might be possible for short periods in my home as needed. I do not have a fenced yard so outside time in my home would be leash walking time, dependent on the needs of your dog, for safety.

14. Evan d.
“Evan is a caring young man whom I entrust my pack to without hesitation. He especially knows how to take care of older doggos, as he is astute to the needs of these slower- moving, and arthritic beloveds. For the younger dogs he provides activities so they are exercised and played with according to their needs. Once you show Evan what is required to take the best care of your pet you can be confident that all is taken care of exactly as is needed. He takes time to clarify tasks/needs/medications. He is on-time, communicative, reliable, thorough and pleasant. I wholeheartedly recommend Evan's services for pets without hesitation.”

Very responsible and kind person to work with, 10/10 would recommend.”

19. Megan & Robert R.

Her loving personality will be sensed by any dog and make that dog feel right at home and comfortable. As a physically active mom, your dog will get lots of walks around the trails near her home and time outdoors in their fenced in backyard. Her flexible work schedule has her in the home for many days at a time so pets will get plenty of loving attention. Megan grew up with large dogs, has had small dogs in her home and is extremely knowledgeable of dogs and animals.”

20. Nedra B.
“Nedra loves animals and has dedicated much of her life to their care. She has a huge amount of experience which she will definitely be able to put to good use when caring for your pet!
