She even took photos for each visit. Socks seemed to be very comfortable around her. Kitt is still shy, but that is how she has always been around other people. I would be happy to have her take care of them while I am out of town again.”

About: I've always enjoyed taking care of animals since I can remember. For the past 10 years, I've had family friends, coworkers, friends of friends, etc. reach out to me to either host their pets or at take care of them at their places; and I feel lucky to do so! I want to make sure every pup feels safe, loved on, and sleepy from a day of adventure! I have a pretty flexible schedule and am able to work remote a few days a week. I also have a great boss, who allows dogs to come to the office, if that is what the dog parents want! I live in a 3-bedroom condo, with only 2 rooms occupied, and plenty of space. We have a front porch that is able to be closed off, but I never leave the dogs fully unattended outside. My roommate does have a medium size girl dog, named Kalli. There are 2 dog parks in my neighborhood and plenty of trails. I would allow them to sleep on the couch if they wanted to, or with me, or in the guest room - whichever the dog and dog parent prefer!

About: I am an experienced dog walker with a background in SPCA volunteering, wildlife rescue work, and in-home pet sitting. I have lifelong experience with dogs and focus on providing safe, reliable, and attentive care. My goal is to make sure each dog is comfortable, exercised, and well cared for during every walk. About: Not only have I had pets my whole life, I have cared for other peoples pets as well. I pride myself as being reliable. I consider our pets as family. Each have personalities, emotions, and specifics needs like every member of our family do. This is how I approach caring for pets. I am an active person so would love to take your pet on adventures. I am a full time graduate engineer student at University of Nevada, Reno. I have classes I have to attend Monday - Thursday for approximate 4-6hrs. When I am not on campus I would love having a furry study buddy to hang out with or stretch my legs with on an adventure. At the moment I can not accept caring for pets at my home, although I more than happy to take your pet on a hike, walk or care for them in your home.

About: I've had dogs since I was a boy with my first pup Emma sleeping in my room every night. Since, my wife Rose and I have adopted our dog Lily as a puppy over 7 years ago and before that cared for an ederly dog, Breyer, for about a year and a half where we made his last year comfortable. Last year we also adopted a couple kitties Frank and Poppy who can be precocious but generally keep to themselves. Lily is the biggest sweetheart (ask anyone on Rover) and now that we have our own home I want to invite other dogs over for playtime, boarding, and all the walking they can ever need. Lily has been through extensive professional training which included detailed methods for us on how to treat and take care of all kinds of dogs. I work from home full time on a flexible schedule so I can tend to dogs as needed. We have a big fenced in yard for play and the usual routine would be a long walk about 3 in the afternoon with frequent potty breaks as needed. Fully fenced in yard, dog house outside with a dog door. Essentially, if your pup comes to our house they are treated like a member of our family.

About: I have had dogs my entire life and will treat yours as my own. I am happy to send pictures and updates of our walk or time together while you are away. I can take your dog on a walk around the neighborhood, run, hike, to the river or lake, or whatever you suggest. I can provide pet sitting at your house or my own. I have a home with a fenced in yard perfect for doggy day care. I have a flexible schedule that can fit your needs. I'm looking forward to meeting your pup! I am a local teacher who works Mon-Wed so those days I am gone during school hours. Thur-Sun and summer I am available with a flexible schedule. I live in a quiet neighborhood with a fenced in yard that’s perfect for a pup. My most recent dog was an old golden retriever with medical needs so I am used to providing special care.

About: I grew up with a household of pets. After leaving my childhood home I moved to the Tahoe Truckee area and began working for a veterinarian. I studied animal behavior in college and I continued to work in the veterinary profession until my retirement in 2022, for 40 plus years! I have always devoted myself to the best of care for all of my own pets, including hamsters, parakeets, cats, dogs, rats, and chickens, and to the pets of friends and family including horses. I am very tuned into their health and medical needs as well as their everyday fun and attention needs. I love to walk and am very safety conscious. I am free to offer services many days. Now that I am newly retired I do spend some time traveling away from home or with other part time activities but, in general, my schedule is very flexible. As I currently have a senior cat who is afraid of dogs, I prefer most of my services be in your home or walking your dogs. However, some cat loving, mellow dogs might be possible for short periods in my home as needed. I do not have a fenced yard so outside time in my home would be leash walking time, dependent on the needs of your dog, for safety.

About: I have house sit for neighbors and friends since I was 12 years old, I have watched dogs, cats, even fish. I am great with pets and knowledgeable about a whole range of pets, from dogs to fish to even reptiles, amphibians, and birds. My schedule is flexible, I am available most days unless specified. I work from home as an artist. I would say my max preferred stay length is about 4 days. I have a large yard, live near many trails for walks, and the rest of my family love dogs. I have a dog, Lucy, she is 13 and can get a bit jealous, but overall she is very sweet.

About: We have taken care of animals all our lives and have a genuine love for each of them. We have experience with it all; new puppies and kittens, as well as older furry friends who may need special treatment and/or administering medication. Between the both of us, we always make it a priority to work with our pups with lots of playtime, exercise, training and socialization daily. We both are self employed and create our own schedules so we are flexible and work together to ensure our pets have an enjoyable & active day. We have a large dog-friendly fenced-in yard as well as amazing trails just outside our backdoor. Our Aussie-Border Collie mix, Penny is super friendly and submissive and gets along with everyone. She is super gentle when needed and can hold her own with larger dogs also. We have a very well socialized cat, Eleanor, who LOVES dogs and visitors.

About: I’ve been around animals all of my life and can’t imagine life without one or several in my own home-and I totally get the anxiety over leaving your loved ones behind while you have to work or go on a trip-let me help you with some of that anxiety the next time you need your furry family members watched! I’ve worked at animal emergency rooms and general animal hospitals for years as an assistant and am skilled at noticing any emergency situations. I can be trusted with your special needs pets, whether it be administering medications or taking easy walks for your elderly pets. I’ve worked at a wildlife sanctuary for 2 years with less-than-friendly wild animals and have trained dogs for a several years at a center for rehabilitation. Animals are my passion in life! I am a full time student juggling part time work and internships before I graduate at UNR next May, but I do my best to maintain a flexible schedule for Rover assignments Mon-Sun, so long as you can give me a 1-3 days notice! I have 2 cats and 2 dogs at home and they have the most spoiled lives ever! I live with a large family and not a lot of space at home however so boarding and sitting in my own home are not an option, unfortunately. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets behind while you have to be away-I’m here to help you and your pets with ease!

About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

About: My husband and I have always had dogs, I have had cats and bunnies as well. I have fostered kittens as well. We lost our elderly dog ( yes, we know how to carry a dog outside to pee and how to not sneak up on deaf ones) a few years ago. We have two young kids that LOVE animals. Rover is a way for us to give that pet love and hopefully receive it until we get our own dog in future. My husband works from home full time . I work part time out of house, but have chunks of week off of work. We would post availability when We are both around and have no trips planned We have a fenced back yard and an unfenced large front lawn. We have paths near our house for great outdoor walks. We can have well behaved dogs sleep in our room in beds if they like or if they crate sleep, we can place where they are comfortable. We are early risers so if your dog need out in morn, we can accommodate. I am a nurse and feel comfortable administering medications to animals as well.
