“Sophia did a great job checking in on Moonpie! She even helped with some last minute window/heater adjustments due to a freak storm and helped me make sure he was warm and OK. Thanks for taking such good care of him! Also appreciate her flexibility with my scheduling needs 🖤”

“Adam was great! Very kind and quick to respond when I had questions, which put my mind at ease while I was away. Will definitely be booking Adam again in the future.”

About: I have loved playing and taking care of dogs since before i could remember. It’s always been important to me to see my furry friends and family members being taken extra good care of and yours now too! I’m currently working from 7:45 till 3:00 but i am completely free from then on to take a mile off your to do list and have some fun with your pup! I would like to add that when it comes to cleaning and picking up not only after me and your little pup but i am totally willing to do anything else i can do to help you out as much as possible!

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, providing reliable walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention to keep them happy, safe, and well-exercised. I’m a stay-at-home Mom. Kids are homeschooled so we are always around. Can take your dog outside and for walks throughout the day. I have a fenced yard and a silly boxer boy dog to keep your dog company. I can crate your dog at night if you prefer.
“Anna was so fantastic I’m so lucky she was available on short notice! Super reliable and was even able to make it out during the city wide power outage and over the holidays. Felt comfortable knowing she would be there to look after my kitty while we were away!”

About: Growing up with dogs my whole life, there has not been a year where we have not had dogs in the house.... meaning we love them! To add to growing up with dogs, I (ambitiously) got a puppy during my senior year of college. This taught me to balance caring for a puppy while excelling in school and enjoying my senior year. This challenge gave me a new insight into putting 100% care into a pet and made my bond grow deeper with my dog, Josie. My family's dog, Molly, is a therapy dog for hospitals and schools allowing me to see the true joy that dogs bring into people's lives. That said, I truly enjoy finding the joy and laughter each dog brings into our home! Working from home, I am truly present to take care of and be attentive to all dogs. There are a few days where I will be unavailable due to travel or subbing at school, but those are blocked off on a weekly basis. Josie and I always start our morning with an activity. Josie loves to go on a morning run, so if your pup is a runner... get ready to join the pack! On the other hand, my family's dog, Molly, loves her walks and play time. We also have a park and great trails in our neighborhood meaning the day is open for adventures. Our condo is in a wonderful area close to the beach with lots of grass and easy access to walking trails. As a home welcome to dogs, we love having them sleep with us but can crate them if that is their safest spot. We have the space to feed dogs separately if needed.

About: I have extensive experience with all types of animals. I work for a petting zoo, have raised two of my own personal dogs, and have cared for many other dogs on and off of Rover. Ive always had patience with dogs, trained and untrained, and love working with them. I can be easily reached with a text or phone call. I would love to walk, feed, play, and care for your animal as needed. When you’re away and missing your dog, I can send you plenty of pictures. You can trust that your pet is in good hands. I'm extremely flexible and am good with time management. I look forward to spending time with your pet!
“Laura is the best we did an initial meet and greet and my dog Naia took to her immediately. I’ve had her do a drop in several times and she always takes her for a walk and plays with her! I know she’s always well taken care of when she’s with Laura, it gives me such peace of mind! Highly recommend.”

“Jessica is fabulous! She is a wonderful communicator and shared photos of our kitties every visit. It was so comforting to know that they had Jessica to care for them, play with them, and pet them while we were away. We hope Jessica will be available next time we travel!”

About: I have lived in Tahoe for 25 years and always had my own dog and watched over my friend's dogs throughout the years. My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.
About: Missy's first dog was Belle, an American Akita. Kyle grew up on a farm with too many dogs to count! Now they have a little family of their own — Rubi (a 5 year old Japanese Akita) and two sons 2 and under who all love other dogs and are always up for new friends! We will treat your pet as our own! You can expect your pet to be loved, cuddled and cared for under our watchful eyes. We promise to be communicative during your pet's stay in order to update you with how things are going and share lots of pictures. If this is your first time using Rover, feel free to use the following code for $20 off: MISSYB08913 😊 We are currently on maternity/paternity leave (we had our youngest son at the end of July!). We took some time away from Rover when we became new parents with our first son. Typically, we both work remotely and, therefore, can keep a close eye on your pet! We take work breaks throughout the day to go outside with the pups and have play sessions galore. This also means that we are very flexible for you too when it comes to pick up, drop off or if there is any changes in your plans. We have a private fenced yard and sunny deck that is perfect for the pups to go outside and play. The yard and deck are both accessible from the main living area. The main living area is quite large with wood floors, which is great for keeping pups cool and many windows for the pups to keep an eye on the neighborhood.
About: Hello! I grew up with dogs and have taken care of many friends’ and neighbors’ pets for as long as I can remeber. I’m not ready to be a permanent pet owner but I love spending time with animals, going on dog walks and hikes, and making sure your pet is cared for the way you would do it. I love teaching dogs tricks and practicing their good manners, and am comfortable with all breeds, ages, and sizes! I have a flexible schedule between nannying, other gigs, and travel. I love to fill my free days and in between times with animals and have 3 roommates who love having pets around and join on walks or play sessions too. I have no pets of my own so your pet will have all my attention. I try to match their energy and keep up with their normal routines to build trust and keep them feeling safe and having fun.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was eight years old. I love being outside and having furry friends so accompany me. I have a very flexible schedule, so it’s easy for me to accommodate! I’m a personal trainer at the Rec Center so my schedule is pretty flexible! I have my own dog, but she’s covered on days where I’m watching other pups. We normally get out at least twice a day for 30 minutes or more of run around or training time! I’m always cautious of things dogs can get into. I keep things pretty tidy to avoid any accidents. I like to know the dog’s normal routine and usually follow it as closely as I can!

About: Hi, I’m Julia! I’m 44 years old and originally from France, and I’d love to be your pet’s new favorite sitter 🐾 I have many years of experience caring for animals, especially dogs. My own dog lived to almost 17 years old, so I’m very familiar with everything from playful pups to senior care, including medications, special diets, and extra patience when needed. I genuinely love being outdoors and going on walks, and I always make sure each pet gets the exercise, attention, and routine they’re used to—whether that’s regular potty breaks, feeding schedules, or just lots of cuddles and companionship. I live right by the national forest, which is perfect for safe, enriching walks in nature. In addition to dogs, I also have experience with cats, fish, and pet rats, so I’m happy to care for a variety of pets. Since I work mostly from home, I’m able to provide plenty of supervision and attention throughout the day—your pet will never feel alone. I also offer in-home visits, where I can care for your pets in their own environment and help with small tasks like watering plants and keeping things in order while you’re away. I treat every pet like family and always aim to make them feel relaxed and loved while you’re away. Feel free to reach out with any questions—I’d love to meet you and your pet! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work mostly from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m able to plan my day around the pets in my care, making sure they get regular walks, feeding, potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I enjoy starting and ending my day with walks, especially since I live right by the national forest, so it’s easy to give dogs fresh air and exercise in a calm, natural environment. I’m also home most of the time, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and care. For in-home visits, I’m able to adjust my schedule to match each pet’s routine and needs, whether that’s morning, midday, or evening visits. I always aim to keep pets on their usual schedule so they feel comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I always care for pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved whether they are in my home or their own. In my home, pets get a calm, relaxed environment with lots of attention throughout the day since I work mostly from home. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, and any specific care instructions. Living near the national forest also allows me to provide peaceful, enriching walks in nature for dogs who enjoy being outdoors. In my clients’ homes, I make sure to respect both the pet’s routine and the home itself. I stick closely to your instructions so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I’m attentive to details like meals, medications, exercise, and companionship, and I also make sure your home is kept tidy. I’m happy to help with small additional tasks like watering plants, bringing in mail, and keeping things in order while you’re away. My goal is always to make pets feel secure and cared for, and to give owners peace of mind knowing everything is in good hands.
About: I've been a dog lover and owner since day 1. I've owned multiple dogs from Border Collies, Australian Shepard, Chihuahua, Golden Retriever and have been pet sitting for over 15 years. I have experienced and will accommodate any personality type and make sure any animal under my care is offered the best and most safe accommodation/walk. I'm incredibly cautious and organized and always put any animal's needs before my own. I believe in making sure an animal feels welcomed, loved and appreciated when their owner is not with them. I'm a very outdoorsy and active person and love to have a dog by my side at all times. You won't find me walking dogs much on the street but rather in a park or fun trail nearby!
“I greatly appreciated Susan’s diligent care of my elderly dog over the Thanksgiving holidays. It’s hard to leave a beloved pet over the holidays, but I could tell by Susan’s daily messages that I didn’t need to worry. She walked him twice daily which he loves. He even seemed to eat better for her than he does for me! I will definitely use her again.”
