About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life having family pets and then a dog of my own for the last 7 years. I no longer have my dog but would love to spend time caring for your special friend. I love going outside and can take your dog for long walks and hikes. I know how to bathe dogs as well as groom if needed. I just moved to the area and will not be starting work until December, so I have lots of free time to care for your pets! I will try and give your dog the best care it needs in the moment, whether that means playing outside or some slow time inside. I am an active person so I can definitely take your pets for a good long walk or get them out running and playing.

About: Have taken care of friends' and neighbors' pets through most of my childhood, and continue to dogsit for friends during vacations, weddings, or other needs. I love spending time in the woods, so can take your pet on outdoor adventures, hiking, biking, skiing, or snowshoeing. Pet care is something I do in my free time, outside of working as an outdoor educator or substitute teaching. I plan to spend most of the Fall, Winter, and Spring in Truckee, so weekends or weekdays are all on the table. I keep a watchful eye over pets in my home, and allow them safety within and without the house. I live near downtown Truckee, so time outside is spent on the leash. I always leave pet food and water out, and have pet-loving roommates.

About: Hi there, I’m Olivia and can’t wait to meet your fur family! My parents had a sweet spot for rescues and adopted dogs from shelters throughout my childhood. I have experience caring for a variety of breeds/sizes, ages, personalities, and levels of health. Over the past 15 years I have also sat for family, friends, and neighbors. I work remotely for a local company so my availability is pretty flexible and will allow me to be with your pup(s) as often as needed. Safety is my top priority. They will be leashed for potty breaks if there isn’t a fenced yard at home and on walks, especially while exploring busy trails and beaches.

About: Everything will be done to keep your dog safe, healthy, calm, and happy while they are in my care. All visits include the following: lots of walks tracked with strava, photo updates, and extra love. Your best friend will get filtered water from fresh bowls each day, and only give your dog food and treats that you provide. You deserve what you want during your dogs stay. Consider this a vacation for your dog, and that all their needs will be taken care of so you can enjoy your time on your vacation, staycation, or day trip. Skiers and Snowboarders, drop them for the day with confidence in my expertise. Your dog is the foundation of my routine. I love to work, and cherish the opportunity to provide my high level services for your dog so that you can enjoy your time without them. All dogs get extra love in the mornings, and structure during walks. Assuming our dogs get along I’ll let them play. If needed, I’ll keep my guy from being too friendly, and I am prepared to keep dogs separated if they aren’t the best fit to be together. But I also limit how many dogs I take at once, to keep things easy on me.

About: I’ve had a passion for animals my whole life and grew up with a wide variety of pets. I am currently a ski patroller in Lake Tahoe now and I am part of our mountains search and rescue avalanche dog team. I have been a second handler for numerous of our dogs over the years training them in search and rescue and obedience. I also have grown up fostering dogs from older dogs to pregnant mama dogs with puppies. I have done it all and my passion is just being around animals! I work at the mountain as a ski patroller in the winters and in the summer I work as a bartender at a lake front restaurant in Lake Tahoe. I would love to fill that time with a furry friend to go on adventures or be cozy inside with. I have lived in tahoe year round for 5 years now and I would love to share my time here with a companion! I live in Truckee, CA in a house with a large fully fenced in back yard. It has been fully dog proofed for my dogs there is plenty of room to run around, play fetch or have a good doggy play date. I live in Sierra Meadows with quick access to a variety of hiking trails. I will take care for your pet as if they were my own giving them lots of cuddles and endless belly rubs.

About: I used to be a certified vet tech so your pet will be under the best care. I love to hike and go on adventures so it is ideal if your dog is behaved off leash, but not required. I volunteer at the humane society and have worked with Dogs for the Deaf. I am pretty much obsessed with dogs and will care for yours like they are mine. Cuddling on the bed is encouraged at my house. I only ask that your dog gets along with other dogs and that s/he is potty trained. If they are not potty trained you will need to provide a crate that the dog is comfortable and at peace in. I am currently working freelance from home and have lots of time to make sure the dogs are tired and happy when they get home to you! My dogs, Chip and Dax, love other dogs! In my home, I would be able to walk them around the neighborhood and trails behind my house. They would also be able to snuggle me on the bed or lounge on the couch. Chip eats 2x/daily and gets a greenie everyday. Mostly just lots of pets and love. I take Chip out numerous times daily to go to the bathroom and he gets 2-3 walks daily.

About: I have over 25 years of experience working with pets, from training playful puppies to providing compassionate care for elderly or disabled animals. No matter their age, needs, or temperament, I’m confident and capable of giving your pet the attention and care they deserve. I work from home from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., which gives me plenty of flexibility in the afternoons and evenings. I’m available for walks and pet sitting after 2 p.m., and I truly enjoy both morning and evening walks—having a furry companion along makes them even better! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll make sure they get walks when needed, cuddles when wanted, and space when preferred.
