“We left our beloved Poodle and Airedale plus another Poodle we were babysitting while we were at a destination wedding in Tahoe. This was a difficult decision for us as our dogs have never ever been left with someone else. We couldn't have been more happy. Beautiful home, Beautiful yard and loving care. My dogs, while confused, were instantly at ease. Kathy sent pictures and updates though out the dogs stay. It was easy on us and easy on the dogs. I would recommend Kathy in a second and if I have the chance to go to tahoe again, I would use her again in a second. The best picture was the two standard poodles sitting with her on her couch one on the left and one on the right. Thanks again Kathy.”

“We left our 1-year-old pup with Nayla and Zeina for 5 days and they took SUCH great care of him! He loves being outdoors and Nayla took the dogs on off-leash walks twice a day, as well as made sure our pup was comfortable and ‘at home’ in her home. It was our first time leaving him with someone and Nayla very kindly sent lots of photos and videos. It was clear our pup was LOVING his time playing with Nayla, Zeina, and their many other dog friends too. Nayla was also super helpful and flexible in coordinating drop off and pickup for times that would work with our flights. Overall it was such a great experience and we can’t recommend Nayla enough!!”

About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. I am not home for pick ups/drop-offs between 7:15 AM-6:30 PM on those days. However my 3-day weekend gives me plenty of time to give your pup the love and attention they deserve! About: Not only have I had pets my whole life, I have cared for other peoples pets as well. I pride myself as being reliable. I consider our pets as family. Each have personalities, emotions, and specifics needs like every member of our family do. This is how I approach caring for pets. I am an active person so would love to take your pet on adventures. I am a full time graduate engineer student at University of Nevada, Reno. I have classes I have to attend Monday - Thursday for approximate 4-6hrs. When I am not on campus I would love having a furry study buddy to hang out with or stretch my legs with on an adventure. When friends are out of town or at work all day I will take their dogs on walks/hikes or to the lake for some swimming. I raised a Beagle (Billy) from puppyhood and proudly attended dog training classes with him (Billy and I both learned alot !) I've also had the joy of rescuing Summer, a gorgeous ex-show dog Golden Retriever, who was by my side for 13 years. After that was Bammer, an Alaskan Husky Lab mix. He was my adventure buddy, and always kept me on my toes! “Melissa was amazing. My wife and I were in Tahoe for the weekend and desperately needed a little break from our two dogs, Gracie and Miley. They can get overstimulated in new places, and honestly, so could we. With my wife currently pregnant, we could only do so much physically, and we were feeling pretty overwhelmed and anxious trying to balance everything while still making sure the girls were happy and cared for. We felt bad because they’re dogs — they need adventure, stimulation, and interaction — but we also knew we were reaching our limit and needed help. Thankfully, we found Melissa on Rover. She even took the time to hop on a quick call beforehand to make sure it would be a good fit for everyone involved. We started by introducing Gracie first, and Melissa had a thoughtful strategy for slowly introducing her to the other dogs in her care. Once that went well, we introduced Miley too, and she integrated perfectly with the group. Melissa sent us photo updates throughout the day, which gave us so much peace of mind. You can tell she genuinely loves dogs and has a lot of experience caring for them. Seeing the girls smiling in her backyard overlooking Incline Village and Lake Tahoe made us feel like we absolutely made the right decision. About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I raised a Beagle (Billy) from puppyhood and proudly attended dog training classes with him (Billy and I both learned alot !) I've also had the joy of rescuing Summer, a gorgeous ex-show dog Golden Retriever, who was by my side for 13 years. After that was Bammer, an Alaskan Husky Lab mix. He was my adventure buddy, and always kept me on my toes! About: I’ve taken care of of many dogs over the past several years ranging from longer stays (I watched the sweetest pitbull for 6 months), to short stays. I have a lot of experience with puppies, as well as dogs from a variety of backgrounds, as I frequently foster dogs for my local Humane Society. I am a mama to a sweet 5 year old German Shepard/ Husky mix named Zeina. She is very active and playful. I love animals and truly value their companionship. I take the responsibility of being a dog auntie very seriously and will give your pup all of my care and love. I’m very active and spend a lot of time outside. The best compliment I got was from my friend Juan who had to leave his dog with me for 5 months. He came back and told me his dog was in better shape and healthier than when he left him! I am comfortable caring for dogs who need medications, and am happy to care for dogs of all ages, but definitely do best with dogs who can go outside, and are okay off leash, as my dog and I go on two walks a day where she runs around off leash and gets to release all her energy! I prefer to go on off leash walks with a pack that has good recall. If your dog needs to be on leash, that is fine just please let me know. I work from home, so your dog would really never be alone for more than a couple hours. I can do potty breaks whenever needed and have lots of dog toys at the house. I have a couple acres around my house, but it’s not fenced, so the dogs are never out alone there. I have an enclosed deck where they love to sun bathe during the day. I’m close to walking paths, fields, and Donner lake dog beach which are all great for the dogs to play. I'll treat your dogs just as I treat my own...my dog is a very happy pup!

About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. I am not home for pick ups/drop-offs between 7:15 AM-6:30 PM on those days. However my 3-day weekend gives me plenty of time to give your pup the love and attention they deserve!
