I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. About: I grew up with a household of pets. After leaving my childhood home I moved to the Tahoe Truckee area and began working for a veterinarian. I studied animal behavior in college and I continued to work in the veterinary profession until my retirement in 2022, for 40 plus years! I have always devoted myself to the best of care for all of my own pets, including hamsters, parakeets, cats, dogs, rats, and chickens, and to the pets of friends and family including horses. I am very tuned into their health and medical needs as well as their everyday fun and attention needs. I love to walk and am very safety conscious. I am free to offer services many days. Now that I am newly retired I do spend some time traveling away from home or with other part time activities but, in general, my schedule is very flexible. As I currently have a senior cat who is afraid of dogs, I prefer most of my services be in your home or walking your dogs. However, some cat loving, mellow dogs might be possible for short periods in my home as needed. I do not have a fenced yard so outside time in my home would be leash walking time, dependent on the needs of your dog, for safety.

Knowing the girls were in safe and loving hands allowed my wife and I to finally relax, go on a short hike together, spend quality time with each other, and actually enjoy one of our last days in Tahoe without constantly worrying or feeling overstimulated ourselves. About: I've had dogs since I was a boy with my first pup Emma sleeping in my room every night. Since, my wife Rose and I have adopted our dog Lily as a puppy over 7 years ago and before that cared for an ederly dog, Breyer, for about a year and a half where we made his last year comfortable. Last year we also adopted a couple kitties Frank and Poppy who can be precocious but generally keep to themselves. Lily is the biggest sweetheart (ask anyone on Rover) and now that we have our own home I want to invite other dogs over for playtime, boarding, and all the walking they can ever need. Lily has been through extensive professional training which included detailed methods for us on how to treat and take care of all kinds of dogs. I work from home full time on a flexible schedule so I can tend to dogs as needed. We have a big fenced in yard for play and the usual routine would be a long walk about 3 in the afternoon with frequent potty breaks as needed. Fully fenced in yard, dog house outside with a dog door. Essentially, if your pup comes to our house they are treated like a member of our family.

About: I've always enjoyed taking care of animals since I can remember. For the past 10 years, I've had family friends, coworkers, friends of friends, etc. reach out to me to either host their pets or at take care of them at their places; and I feel lucky to do so! I want to make sure every pup feels safe, loved on, and sleepy from a day of adventure! I have a pretty flexible schedule and am able to work remote a few days a week. I also have a great boss, who allows dogs to come to the office, if that is what the dog parents want! I live in a 3-bedroom condo, with only 2 rooms occupied, and plenty of space. We have a front porch that is able to be closed off, but I never leave the dogs fully unattended outside. My roommate does have a medium size girl dog, named Kalli. There are 2 dog parks in my neighborhood and plenty of trails. I would allow them to sleep on the couch if they wanted to, or with me, or in the guest room - whichever the dog and dog parent prefer!
About: We have taken care of animals all our lives and have a genuine love for each of them. We have experience with it all; new puppies and kittens, as well as older furry friends who may need special treatment and/or administering medication. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

She would constantly keep in contact and send photos. He was not eating so she was trying all new things in his food and instead of his food to get him to eat which was so sweet and wonderful of her. She would give him baths which I did not ask for but was so appreciated. I could tell that she absolutely loved him as we do. Simply outstanding and highly recommended. Definitely going to go back and have Teddy stay with Brittany again!”

About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. I am not home for pick ups/drop-offs between 7:15 AM-6:30 PM on those days. However my 3-day weekend gives me plenty of time to give your pup the love and attention they deserve!
