About: I started fostering puppies in my early 20’s, have always had a roommate with a dog who I would take care of when they were out of town, got my own dog 3 years ago, and am always happiest when hiking/walking or snuggling on the couch with as many dogs as possible! I’m in Tahoe just for the winter, have a part time job but have tons of availability and flexibility. I take my dog on a long walk everyday, she’s super friendly and loves company! I have a fenced in yard, and a dog who absolutely loves friends. My roommate also have 3 dogs who enjoy having friends as well, the more the merrier in our house! Lots of snuggles, playtime with fur friends, lots of walks and outdoor time and no shortage of affection from humans!

About: Hey all! You might know me personally, and if not, I’m so glad my profile caught your eye. I’ve been providing trusted pet and house sitting care in the Lake Tahoe area for many years now, through personal referrals, and I’m now expanding my availability here on Rover. I’m well known locally and provide regular care for pets in private homes and condos throughout Tahoe. I love using Rover as a professional platform that offers structure, transparency, and peace of mind for both pet parents and sitters. I understand how big a deal it is to leave your pet behind, and my goal is always for you to feel completely comfortable and confident while you’re away. To me, pets are family. Your friend will enjoy hanging out with me at your house, rental or at my place. Whether it’s a trip to the lake, a walk around Tahoe’s local trails, or simply just hanging out in the house, I can accommodate whatever you and your pets needs are. If your friend does stay with me they can enjoy the forgiving floors or sunshine on the deck. I have a very pet friendly condo and they can hang out on the couch or bed with me. If you’re ok with it, I’d love to get us outside to enjoy the beach or an easy going walk (depending on owner preferences). I understand the necessity of leashes and prefer to keep my new friends on a leash at all times during our first few visits as we get to know each other. After a while and only if you prefer, we can start the process of letting them get some off leash time while at the beach or on walk. I will adhere to any dietary and allergic needs you may request. I have volunteered many years at the humane society and have been trained by the best at the Truckee location. I enjoy sending you pictures and videos of our pet time together and I am always available for a phone call or text chat while you are away. If your friend needs to lodge with us then we have plenty of options. Whether he or she enjoys sleeping on my bed with me or in a pet bed/kennel that you provide, rest assured your little friend will be warm and cozy at night. If your pet has specific time they like to go potty I will work with their normal schedule. I welcome all animals into my safe home. I’m able to stay the night if needed. I have all hours open from early mornings to late nights in case you want to check out the local nightlife! I hope to meet you!!! And can't wait to meet your special dog or cat friend! Pet care is a my daily life. I work very early mornings (for the skiing and board crowd) and I am also available as late as needed if you want to experience Tahoes Night life. I do not accept multiple bookings, so it will be your dog/dogs/cats and I only. If I am showing up on your calendar, then that means I’m available! I am by your pets side the whole time. While in the home we keep doors closed at all times and I consider myself very intuitive about when it’s time to go potty, or just get some fresh air. Leashes are required at all times while outside. Fresh clean water bowls and dishes are supplied, as well as plenty of blankets for lounging. If you prefer no walks or outings while on my watch that is just fine, just let me know what your ideal stay for your pet looks like. I am very familiar with senior dogs and can provide gentle outings. We will do your regural trail, but if you want want your older dog to experience the beach, I have some very nice stairs, some strong hand and can help your dog down physically to the beach.

About: I have been caring for dogs for over 40 years. I will spend all of my time with your dog, hiking, swimming, playing in the snow and cuddling. I am interested in boarding your dog while you enjoy Lake Tahoe. I live near the lake so there will be a daily visits walking along the shores. I will provide a safe and clean environment for your dog. When we hike, swim, play in the snow, they will be on a leash. I will always be very careful with your dog.

About: What I would say sets me apart from other walkers/sitters, is my care and attention to each dog’s unique needs. I’m currently working part-time, so my schedule is extremely flexible! I am available almost everyday, all day to care for your pups! I just recently moved up to South Lake for college and am living in the dorms, so I’m trying to save up some extra money doing what I love! On walks, I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy. I always stay alert to surroundings, and avoid busy or unsafe areas. I always make sure to bring water on longer walks, watch for signs of tiredness or overheating, and give them time to sniff and explore. I also reinforce good leash behavior with gentle guidance and positive encouragement. Each walk is a mix of exercise, care, and fun.

About: I’ve owned and taken care of dogs my whole life. I watch a lot of my friends dogs when they go away and always make sure they are happy, fed, and included on adventures. I have experience taking dogs trail running, mountain biking, and backcountry skiing. Throughout the fall I am mostly taking online prerequisite classes to get into nursing school, so I am at home most days of the week! If your pup needs a buddy to hang at home with or someone to take them for daily adventures, I’m your person! If your pet is with me, I can assure you they will get lot’s of love and exercise in nature. Being able to take a break from class and go for a run with a dog would benefit myself as much as them! I live on a quiet back road with a big yard. There is not a fence. My neighbor has a friendly yellow lab that we often take for walks and care for as well. There is a big trail system behind my house and I often take dogs up there for exercise. Inside the house, I am always open to having a dog on the couch or bed as long as the owner is. I am not a partier and am an early morning person. Your dog will be sure to get a morning and evening walk at the minimum. The dogs I walk usually come for any adventure with me, but if you have a senior dog that just needs a place to hang out and be loved on, that’s fine too!

About: I am an experienced pet carer with many years of experience with my own animals, friends and families and have also volunteered at shelters caring for both dogs and cats. I have worked with many special needs pets and difficult behaviors and worked with animals to help make them ready for adoption. I am caring and attentive to all animals needs! I am currently working in person Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday 7-5. These days I am available early morning and evening for your pets. I even lived on an animal sanctuary for a year and half tending to rescued farm animals.
