About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. I signed up for Rover because dog sitting helps me get my fix for having a doggy harem. I would love to shower your dog with attention and affection. I volunteer at the local humane society, so I'm very adept at adapting to your dog's needs. I particularly love active dogs, and I'm happy to take your pup on hikes and swims in the lake. I'm also happy to hang out and have a more relaxing day with older, less active pups. Ellie (13) is very well-socialized, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m always happy to go out for a walk or a hike. Ellie, my 13-year-old Lab, is always up for meeting a new dog friend. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

About: I have lots of dog experience, I’m a runner as well if you want your dog real tired. I also grew up with a Great Pyrenees and a shitzu so size does not matter to me. I’ve trained all my dogs growing up and have lots of animal care experience Mornings and evenings I do work a 9-5, but on weekends I am more flexible. I usually run in the evening as well if you’re looking for a harder workout I try to burn as many calories, give as much attention and love, then challenge their brains as well so they’re not bored. Sniff walks are big!

About: My family has had cats as pets from before I was born. I have 2 cats myself. One is named Kk and the other is named Tommy, whom is special needs. He had a thrombosis that caused one of his legs to lose circulation. The vets answer for me was I needed to put him down. I cried for a whole weekend and then started wondering if there were other options. Using my psychic abilities I came up with amputation. When I asked if they could amputate his leg they immediately said yes! And now I have a 3 legged cat. I love him so much and have gone to the ends of the earth for all my pets. Kk is my fat princess. She is beautiful and so soft. She is my daughters emotional support animal but she has gone away to college so I got to keep her. She loves me so much, she stares into my soul and purs and drools on an everyday basis lol.

I was raised with walking my dog on a leash, and I still believe that is the safest method for a dog when outside walking around the neighborhood or on bike paths. When working with new dogs (or cats) if the area is not fenced in, a leash or harness will be requested so the pets safety is ensured. After creating a relationship with the pet, off leash walks are doable on trails.

About: Greetings. I’ve had a best friend who was with me everyday for 15 years. I was with her from the beginning to the end. I am sensitive to the needs of our dogs and always very aware of our surroundings. I’m ultra aware of the cayotes up here and all their tricks. With the new smells and distractions for some dogs that are not from here I always feel safer to keep them on leash during our walks. I live alone in a quiet cabin on a quiet street, no traffic and no neighbors. Big fenced back yard and a small gated front porch. I know all the trails in Sierra track as well as the whole area. I’m very flexible and will take care of all the little things that are needed and the unexpected ones that pop up. I know how stressfull it can be traveling and then leaving your best friend with someone. I will communicate with you and make it easy and stress free. It’s a big adjustment not having my sweet girl Francis. I was so used to waking up and she was there, or coming home and she was sitting in my spot waiting for me. Honestly this is good for me having a dog around. It’s helping with this process I’m going through. I am very flexible and available almost anytime and on short notice if life happens. I know how that goes. I know the trails and areas to go that are safe and fun. Im an early riser, and I enjoy mornings walks when it’s nice and quiet with no traffic or crowds of people. I have no problem with taking the pup with me in the car to run a quick errand or even better a day trip somewhere. Some dogs love car rides with the window down and nose out. And some do not. It’s all optional, absolutely no problems leaving him or her at home while I’m out for a sec. I primarily work from home and would be with him/her almost all the time. My dog Francis was a little attached. Maybe loyal is a better word. I was very lucky with her and didn’t have to worry too much. But I learned to never ever let anything happen to her. Very aware of our environment. Cars, other dogs, cayotes, bees , bodies of water and all weather conditions, hot pavement and even to always avoid the drains/grates in the roads ect. I’m not disactred by my phone or anything else. I’ll only feed what the owner approves.
About: My fiance and I have a Bulldog Lab mix with epilepsy named Asparagus. Seizures with a 90+ dog are difficult, but I do what I need to to make sure he is comfortable and not a danger to himself. My life long friend, Dodger, passed away at 15 this last year. She passed in my arms, after about a year of doing everything we possibly could to keep her comfortable, including administering ointments and frequent diaper changes. I love animals more than I love people and have been caring for all sorts since I was very young. I also have experience with cats, chinchillas, and an assortment of reptiles, rodents, and amphibians. My schedule is very flexible, which is great because I can make room for all the lovely animals out there! I am a bartender around town, but this never takes up full days. I am attentive and caring. I will provide a safe and clean environment for your dog. When we hike, swim, play in the snow, they will be on a leash. I will always be very careful with your dog.
About: What I would say sets me apart from other walkers/sitters, is my care and attention to each dog’s unique needs. I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and adjust my care style accordingly. I have always had a passion for animals, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. About: Hello! My name is Alora, and I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. I’ve spent the past year working as a vet tech at a local veterinary hospital, so I’m very comfortable around dogs and cats. If your animal is every hurt or sick, I am qualified to take care, and watch over them. I’m used exercising, cleaning up after, and giving medications to animals. I’m also a dog mom to a black and white Mutt named Ray. As far as exercising your pet, it can range from short or long walks, trail walks, runs, or playing with toys, depending on what they need/like. House sitting will consist of me keeping your pet company, feeding, and all the exercise they need. If needed I can spend the night, or if you prefer I can come back in the morning. I am currently a bartender so I can be available to take your animals out during the day while you work! About: I’ve grown up with pets (dogs,cats, & horses) and have always enjoyed having a pet around. Looking to help others who might need a check in or extra walk with their pet during the day or while they’re out on the hill making some turns. I work from home & own a business in town. Always out and about and happy to make an extra stop to check in on a furry friend along the way. I was raised with walking my dog on a leash, and I still believe that is the safest method for a dog when outside walking around the neighborhood or on bike paths. When working with new dogs (or cats) if the area is not fenced in, a leash or harness will be requested so the pets safety is ensured. After creating a relationship with the pet, off leash walks are doable on trails.

There is a big trail system behind my house and I often take dogs up there for exercise. Inside the house, I am always open to having a dog on the couch or bed as long as the owner is. I am not a partier and am an early morning person. Your dog will be sure to get a morning and evening walk at the minimum. The dogs I walk usually come for any adventure with me, but if you have a senior dog that just needs a place to hang out and be loved on, that’s fine too!

Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place.
