About: I've grown up around dogs my entire life and have owned my current terrier mix Lemon for the past five years, since adopting her from a rescue in TX. She's dog-reactive on leash, so I’ve developed strong skills in reading dog body language, managing difficult situations calmly, and avoiding triggers and other dogs to keep her safe and comfortable. I bring that same level of attentiveness and care to every dog I walk or sit for. As a U.S. Army veteran, I'm reliable, detail-oriented, and take safety seriously—your dog’s well-being is always my top priority. I tailor every walk or visit to meet each dog's individual needs, whether they’re energetic puppies, seniors who need a gentler pace, or dogs that need space from others. I hired Ashtyn very last minute after another sitter kept cancelling her visit for me to show her the place. Thank god! Ashtyn was an easy fit for the week and a half homestay, and somehow, our one cat who always hides under the bed seemed to feel comfortable with Ashtyn right off. She sent lots of pictures of our cats cozying up to her, and they seemed content when we returned home. She obviously has a special touch with animals!
We are so grateful to have found Rachael to look after our dog this summer. She cared for her for two weeks and did an amazing job. Leo stayed with our 2 dogs and took good care of them while we were away. He fed our dogs on time and opened/closed the doggy door as instructed. He sent us pictures and videos regularly so we have peace of mind as one of our dogs had leg injury. He left the house clean and took the trash bin out to the curb on trash pickup day for us.
