When I came home several hours later, both man and dog seemed very happy, and my house was in perfect order. About: I’m an animal lover that has had pets all my life! I’m a calm and patient person who can handle dogs of all sizes and demeanors. I also can’t resist petting a cat. I understand that they are family and will treat them as such! I’m currently working part time so I will have time to take care of your pet and make sure they have all the attention they need. I have reliable transportation and am a Boston native I have a fenced in yard and live very close to walking trails and a park. I have space to crate a dog inside if needed, or they can remain in or outside. I have two cats at home but when other pets enter the house they will be on the second floor only.

About: I’ve worked for two separate doggy daycares which included overnight stays with dogs, dog walks with up to 5 dogs at a time, and simple training techniques. I walk dogs everyday as I have several repeat clients, but my schedule is very flexible and I usually always have time for any last minute walks or drop-ins We usually allow our guests to sleep in the room that is connected to our bedroom. It is open between the rooms so your pet will be near us. We will spend time with them by playing and going on plenty of walks

About: I follow the guidelines of the owner. I am "present" (not distracted) with the dog. I am consistent and caring. I am very aware of the dog's behavior in the range of other pets and people, and adjust our path and pace accordingly. I am recently retired and my scheduled is flexible between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. unless I have scheduled time on the water to sail. Currently, I walked my neighbors dog. When I enter, I am careful to close the door immediately and take time to greet the dog (Mazie, female). I am attentive to details when putting on her harness for both security and comfort. While walking, I follow the instructions of the owner relative to the proximity of other dogs since Mazie is a rescue and can become agitated by other dogs. Maize heels very well for me while we walk and I believe she appreciates that I do not listen to music or use my phone while we walk. I converse with Mazie to ensure she feels companionship as well as experiences exercise.

I had explained the warning signs to look out for before I left, and the very first night I was gone she noticed he was trying to use the litter box but couldn’t. She contacted me immediately, made herself available for a phone call, and followed all of the care steps I walked her through. Thankfully, Bruce improved a lot after that, and I was so grateful she caught it so early. She also sent constant updates and photos throughout the trip, so I was never left wondering how my babies were doing. Catherine house sat for two nights as well, and when I came home my apartment was exactly as I left it. I felt like my cats and home were genuinely cared for while I was away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate pet sitter.”

About: Hi everyone, I'm a Peruvian-USA student living in Boston while I finish my studies. Over the past eight years, I have regularly taken care of friends’ pets, particularly cats, on a voluntary basis. I genuinely love caring for small animals—especially cats—and have built strong, affectionate bonds with them over time. I’m very much a “cat person”: I’m attentive, calm, playful when appropriate, and respectful of their need for space. Cats tend to feel comfortable around me, and I truly enjoy their company. While I’ve never had a dog of my own, I have a healthy, confident, and respectful relationship with dogs as well. I’m energetic, playful, and comfortable setting boundaries, with no fear and a strong awareness of animals’ needs and signals. More broadly, I love animals and enjoy the routine, responsibility, and emotional connection that comes with caring for them. Because I move frequently and am completing my PhD, I haven’t yet been able to commit to having a pet of my own. Pet caretaking has been a meaningful way for me to stay connected to animals during this stage of life, and it would be a wonderful way to bring balance, joy, and much-needed stress relief alongside the demands of dissertation writing. Because I am still a student and do not have a car, things will work out best for folks who live near accessible public transport. I am also open to staying over your place, if needed! I cannot currently host pets but I'm open to going and, when preferred, staying over your place. Besides 2 days a week, when I have in-person research seminars to attend, I have a very flexible schedule. Thankfully I can work from anywhere! I cannot currently host pets at my shared apartment, perhaps in the future. I am open to staying at your place, and it seems this often is more calming for pets.
