About: What to expect for boarding/daycare: I guarantee 4 walks a day of at least 40 minutes to an hour (or longer) depending on the needs and energy levels of your dog. Your dogs will be extremely well taken care of, ensuring they have plenty of time devoted to walking, sniffing around, playing, and other forms of enrichment. I have spent my whole life working with and for animals. I work as a conservation biologist and have experience in animal rehabilitation. I also have a degree in biology and animal studies/behavior. Growing up, I lived on a farm and worked with and trained a variety of farm animals daily for 4H. I also have volunteered at my hometown animal shelter to raise and promote their cats and dogs for many years. Additionally, I spent much of my youth taking care of my families’ dogs and cats, and pet sitting for friends, family, and strangers. I am open to any and all kinds of animals at any age range. I have spent many hours nursing sick animals back to health, so I am well-trained in being patient and attentive to the needs of animals in my care. I currently work from home so I have a lot of time for high-energy dogs that need multiple visits/long walks daily or elderly pets that needs slower TLC at your home or mine. I live in a quiet building that would be good for watching skittish pets and have a nice park next to our building for walks and play. I am used to having animals so I keep the apartment very clean and never leave food out anywhere that animals may be able to reach.
About: Ever since I can remember I’ve always had a dog to take care of. From being a child taking care of my childhood Labrador to raising a Yorkee -poodle all throughout my teenage years, I’ve always been accustomed to having a dog to care for. Since a young age I’ve felt an everlasting love to being around dogs and having them myself. I'm Brooke, and I'm here to help you out with your four-legged friends :) As a full-time graduate student and part-time employee at a local café, my schedule is always some kind of busy and ever-changing—but I make time for what I love! I've grown up with cats and dogs my whole life and have missed their company since moving to Boston for school. Most of my experience is limited to a long-term gig watching 3 rambunctious huskies, but I also have some experience taking care of dogs with severe anxiety and cats. I understand that these aren't just pets, they're family—I treat them with the utmost respect and care when I work with them. I'm currently a full time graduate student and part time worker, looking for the opportunity to earn some additional income in a flexible environment and cute company. I have experience visiting other homes to feed, let out, walk and play with dogs while their owners are off on holiday or other business, usually for 30 minutes to 1 hour at a time and multiple times a day. All through my life my family has had pets and we often fostered animals, especially kittens and puppies, at my home. As I renter I haven’t been able to have dogs of my own since moving out of my family’s house. Our dogs are the highlight of visiting home and I would love the opportunity to care for your dogs while you are away! I work from home during the day with a very flexible schedule. I could make some visits in the mornings, but I am mostly available in the evenings during the week and all day Friday - Sunday. I might have more time around the holidays, as well.
