“Jacqueline is awesome! So patient with my crazy, energetic pup. Piper absolutely loves when Jacqueline comes for her walks and waits for her to return when she leaves!”

“Our dog can be a bit much with leash reactivity and new changes. We are very pleased with how Kaylor has dealt with Buddy and it seems to be going well. Super grateful for the willingness to work with Buddy!”

“Katherine was a wonderful dog walker, she took so many great photos of Ricki and had a lot of great notes for each walk! I would definitely book her again for Ricki!”

“Thomas has been an absolute gem of a dog walker for our pup, Milo! From day one, his communication has been clear, timely, and reassuring — we always knew when walks were happening and how Milo was doing. He’s incredibly reliable and consistent, which gave us so much peace of mind. Even more importantly, it’s obvious how much he genuinely cares about dogs. Milo warmed up to him right away, and it’s been clear from their post-walk photos and updates that he absolutely adores Thomas! We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our furry family member. Highly recommend Thomas to anyone looking for a caring, dependable dog walker.”

“Michael walked my 3 year old golden retriever, Waffles, for four afternoons. Waffles sometimes pulls on the leash and sometimes not. Michael in his own quiet way was clearly in control and Waffles liked him immediately. I recommend Michael.”

“We loved Naomi! She was punctual, very friendly, and took great care of Casey. We were so glad to find someone who has a puppy herself, so she knew how to handle our little guy. Definitely recommend!”

About: I've been taking care of dogs for two years now. I personally have a black lab as well. I'm happy to take your dog on a walk, keep them company, or play with them! I'm currently working on a hybrid schedule so every week my availability differs. If I'm at home I can take care of your dog as needed. But I'm always available after 6pm on weekdays and most weekends. I have a fenced yard, but if I'm at your location I will give them my full attention. I live in a residential area with lots of friendly dogs nearby, and good safe spaces for walking.

“Julia is so reliable and caring! She is punctual and our anxious dog Zara is so comfortable with her. Highly recommend having Julia walk your dog. We’ll miss you Julia!”

About: I am an experienced caretaker of dogs and cats. I fostered many dogs and cats to successful adoption while living in CT. Currently a dad to two cats in Somerville and looking to hang out with some dogs. Working from home on Monday and Friday with a flexible schedule and available on weekends all day. Most available for walks in the middle of the day (11-3). I have two indoor cats and they are very loved in out home. I treat all animals with respect and attention. I try to assess their needs given the situation and respond appropriately.

“Rosie has been walking my Finley for a while now. He’s reactive with high anxiety which makes coming in and out of a 30 floor apartment building challenging. She communicated her experiences with me and we work through them. She’s my go to call when I have plans and want him to have company. She’s been great all around.”

“I cannot recommend Jia enough, especially if your dog is difficult on leash! She always arrived on time for walks, spent more time than expected with my dog, and even offered to incorporate training. When my dog wasn’t feeling well she went out of her way to buy pumpkin to add to her food. She is caring, knowledgeable, and extremely trustworthy!!”

About: With 20 years of hands-on experience in pet care, I've had the privilege of caring for a wide variety of animals, including: dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and hamsters. I understand the unique needs of each species, from providing enriching activities for dogs, offering individualized care for cats, to creating safe, stimulating environments for birds, turtles, and hamsters. Whether it's ensuring proper habitat conditions, managing dietary needs, administering medications, or simply offering companionship, I approach each pet with a deep understanding of their behavior. I'm committed to fostering the well-being and happiness of every pet I care for, tailoring my services to meet their specific needs and personalities. I've built a flexible and reliable pet care routine that allows me to give your pets the attention and care they deserve without disrupting my own schedule. On a daily basis, I make time for early morning walks, feeding, and playtime, ensuring that your pets start their day happy and active. I also structure my evenings to include additional walks or cuddle sessions, and I'm available for drop-in visits throughout the day as needed. On a weekly basis, I plan regular check-ins, grooming sessions, and any other specific care tasks, such as administering medications or cleaning habitats. I will be attentive to your pets' needs without the rush, ensuring they receive the best care and companionship every day. My top priorities are ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. I create a secure environment by pet-proofing the space, removing potential hazards, and making sure they have room to explore, play, and relax. Trust is key, so I build a strong bond with each pet through consistency, gentle interaction, and routine care. In a client's home, I take extra care to respect their space, keeping everything familiar for their fur babies. Whether in my home or yours, I strive to offer a loving, safe, and stress-free environment where animals feel happy, secure and cared for at all times.

About: Hi, I'm Cate and I want to help take care of your pet! I have a sedentary job so I would love to help care for your pets to get myself moving more. I'm joining Rover because I can't think of a better way to get more sunlight/exercise, a little extra cash, and some puppy love! I love animals and have been pet sitting in various capacities for more than 5 years. I've also lived with both cats and dogs, as well as cared for aging pets. I'm a big environmentalist and love being outside so I hope to get lot of dogs to walk around town. I’m experienced in plant care as well if you have plant babies that need attention while you’re out of town as well! I am loving living in Cambridge and enjoying the beautiful weather outside! My remote job means I have lots of flexibility to take on side work so I would love the chance to make a little extra cash to help my family afford this very beautiful (and very expensive) community! Everything I do comes from a place of solidarity with my community and connection to nature. I believe that dogs are independent and autonomous beings that I want to befriend and build trust with, not control and scare into obedience. When providing any in-home services as I have for over 15 years, I am extremely considerate of your wishes when it comes to comfort and privacy!

I have flexibility on my remote work days and weekends. Open to walks and drop-in visits M/W/F and weekends. Happy to drop in early morning if your pet is an early riser! I will first arrange a meet up before we agree if we want to work together. I’ll meet your pet, ask about their behavior and preferences, as well as any requests you have. Currently offering drop-in visits for both cats and dogs. Also offering walking services. Boarding and house sitting may be accommodated based on availability and compatibility. Look forward to getting to know you and your pet(s)!

About: I own one French Bulldog who I have raised and trained since he was 8 weeks old. I work from home every day and get to enjoy the little potato through all his zoomies and shenanigans. I grew up with a wire fox terrier who I also participated in training and pet sit to this day. I have also house sit a friends dogs while growing up. My daily life now consists of feeding my dog Wally twice a day, taking him out every two hours to go the bathroom, going on neighborhood walks, and enjoying plenty of active play time. I live with my girlfriend and everyday, permitting nice weather, we get outside and enjoy meeting other dogs and people. Occasional vet visits and dog parks fall into our routine too. I am currently in between jobs. So while i have study breaks. interview breaks, etc, it would be nice to help out any dogs and their owners however I can. In my home it is relatively small on the bottom floor to ourselves. We let our dog roam wherever we want and is generally always in our line of vision. We do let our dog sleep on furniture and the bed. We also have bought many boxes, etc to puppy proof our house because Wally is one nosy dog! In terms of your dog, I would abide by your rules and follow any instructions provided, whether at your dogs home or mine or out on walks.
