About: I’ve always had experience with cats and dogs; I specialize in longer walks, which some may constitute as hikes! My dog is a bit too small and old for hikes but I would love to help other dogs get that energy out in a beneficial way. I have experience with senior dogs, and some puppy experience. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I am a college student focusing on my education which gives me plenty of flexibility and free time to take care of pets! I can crate dogs if that is a preference although I am very open to just spending time sitting or playing with them as well!

About: Hello! My profile reads Julianna, but I prefer to go by Fern! I recently graduated with a degree in Biology and am passionate about animals. I grew up with pets, from a 10 pound to chihuahua to a 150 pound Anatolian shepherd, and am comfortable with all shapes and sizes of pets. I have a natural affinity for animals, and love spending hours walking, grooming, and playing with them. I have completely open and flexible availability and would love to get to know your furry friends. Having just graduated, I am completely open and have the time for extended play dates with pets, including long walks if you have a high energy animal. I have the free time and energy to devote to pet care as it is my sole focus. I believe that working with cats and dogs requires a mutual understanding and respect. In training my own dogs I do not yell at or punish them for misbehavior, instead establishing positive feedback to encourage good behavior. When walking a dog, I let it take its time and do not tug or rush it along, as a walk is for the dogs enjoyment. I like to build trust with an animal and love giving them all the attention they could ever desire.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I was a veterinary technician for 20 years before I became a stay at home mom to my daughter, Jordan I love this opportunity on Rover, because it joins my two favorite things—animals and the outdoors. This is a great way for me to teach my daughter animal husbandry. I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is flexible. My daughter usually tags along with me. She is also an animal lover. I currently do not own any pets so I am free to take care of other animals. If I need to check on an animal, I usually spend about an hour with them. (Letting them out, feeding and watering, snuggling). If I am walking, I will walk for an hour. Or an agreed time frame.

About: Hi! I'm Marena—a lifelong animal lover and caretaker. I began dog and cat sitting at a very young age, and actively volunteering for animal rescues and farm sanctuaries in 2016. From socializing shelter puppies to shearing sheep, administering medication to llamas, and filing pig tusks, I've loved it all! I enjoy getting to know all sorts of personalities—from the active and boisterous, to the more reserved or anxious—my awareness of animal behavior allows me to provide the most positive and comfortable experience for your pet. In my free time I love bringing my dog, Lucy, for long walks on the beach (her favorite!) and exploring the outdoors. I'm currently a volunteer at the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals, and a member of the Animal Rescue Team for the Humane Society of the United States. I have experience in pet first aid/CPR, basic obedience training, canine enrichment (agility work, nose work), and emergency response. I earned a certificate in Large Animal Emergency Rescue in June 2023 and am currently working toward certification in the Masterson Method of equine bodywork to relieve stress and tension in horses. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your animals! Thank you! I'm currently working part time with a flexible schedule. In general, I'm available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a possibility if given enough notice, so please feel free to ask and I will let you know what I can do! Before booking a new client, I request that we schedule an in-person meet and greet. This makes it easier to build trust, as not all animals are instantly at ease with an unfamiliar person in their home. It also helps me learn specific details pertaining to my visit. I try to match your pet's routine as best as possible. This means learning what time they're used to eating, what their favorite activities or toys are, and any other preferences they may have. Overall, I strive to care for clients' pets as I do my own animals. This means lots of love, pictures, and regular updates to ensure you know how they're doing. And, as a guest in your home, I promise to leave everything as orderly and clean as it was when I arrived!

Robin & Robert R.
“We have been bringing our dog “Frankie” to Robin for over a year and we cannot say enough about her and her husband Robert. They are very kind and gentle natured people who truly love animals. Since day one, they have treated Frankie as if he was their own. We initially sought out Robin to help us train Frankie and she has done an amazing job with him. Several months ago, he stayed with them for a week while we were away. When we picked pick him up, we thought he would be overjoyed to see us. Instead, he ran back inside the house and stood next to Robin and Robert! Frankie also attends day care once a week and it's his favorite thing to do. When we turn down their street, he gets so excited, and as soon as I open the car door, he runs right into their house. We are very grateful for Robin for all the love she gives to Frankie.”

Marena B.
“I highly recommend Marena! She has watched our pets for many years both dogs & cats. My dog absolutely loves her. She’s very dependable and has a love of animals.”

Michael S.
“Mike watches my dog about once a week and has been for the last few years. He does a great job. He lets him come over to his house and my dog plays with his other dogs all day. This is kind of a unique situation as I wouldn’t expect Mike to allow all dogs at his house but he does a great job of ensuring my dog is safe, healthy, and tired by the end of the day.”
