“Juliana took really good care of my kitty! Halo loved Juliana the moment she met her and I would definitely have Juliana take care of my cat again next time I'm out of town.”

“Margaret is the best the sitter I've come across on this app. So attentive and keeps me updated. Such a peace of mind to have someone like her watching my babies. 100% recommend.”

“I know Millie is in good hands when Jessica comes over. Jessica will always leave me a note and pictures of Millie which I am grateful for. She is reliable and prompt and takes great care of our fur baby.”

“Ann was fantastic with our pups. At just a year old, they're still learning so much and she has a natural way with dogs. They (and we) really enjoyed meeting her and we're looking forward to future visits!”

“Coco’s always happy when Amanda comes to visit her. Often she’s reluctant to walk on the first day but not this time! They walked to the park every day and had a good time. It’s great to have a sitter we can trust!”

“Sam took wonderful care of our two kitties while we were gone for two weeks. She is very kind to our cats making sure they’re fed, given lots of attention, and provides much appreciated photo updates! She even helped with some mail and changing the litter box and keeping up with vacuuming the litter. We are repeat customers of Sam I would highly recommend and trust her to care for your pets!”

“If you’re looking for someone to make your pet feel like they’re part of the family, look no further than Amy. She was incredibly kind, super informative, and kept us in the loop every day about our boy. We trust her completely with our pup and will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone we know.”

“Stephanie took great care of our older dog during a long weekend. We received regular updates and photos. Stephanie took great care to administer our dog's medicines and to give him love.”

“This was our second time using Sarah and she did so great with our dog again! She provided detailed updates and the best pictures each time. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our spoiled boy!”

“Heather is amazing! I have an older dog, who isn't always very comfortable with strangers, but after just a couple visits I could really tell that she was starting to relax. Heather was super responsive and her updates were great! She was even able to add on an additional visit last minute because our plane was delayed. I'll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Stephanie was simply incredible. I was so hesitant to leave my dog Suki but we had to travel for a wedding and needed to be gone for a few days. I found Stephanie and she was super responsive from the beginning. When I met her I felt that Suki would be in good hands and she absolutely was. Stephanie went above and beyond by sending me a daily report and so many pictures, every time. She made me feel so at ease - I could not have had a better experience. Stephanie was worried about my pup being on her own during 4th of July with the loud fireworks and she offered to bring Suki in for that night so she wouldn't be on her own. Only someone who truly understands and cares for animals would do that. She is seriously a superstar and I cannot recommend her enough!”

“Charlotte was a wonderful sitter and made me feel so comfortable throughout my trip away from my babies (w cats)! Will be booking again the next time I’m away.”

“Mei Li is a great pet sitter! She loves taking care of our dogs & is on time, responsible & trustworthy. We will continue to use her services whenever possible. Highly recommended!”

About: Hello! I have been a dog lover my whole life having lived with and owned dogs. Currently, I have an English Bulldog & a well trained German Shepherd. I love outdoor walks and play time - no walk is too long for me with your dog! Also, love to keep them company if they do not want to be alone for long periods of time. Experienced in administering medicines to both cats and dogs. Along with my 2 dogs I live on a hobby farm with chickens, horses & barn cats. In college I worked at Danada Vet in the kennel and assisted on the vet floor with the techs and Drs! Reach out with any questions! Thank you! I’m currently working at my family business in the Wheaton area and most of the work is online or around the suburbs - never gone for more than a couple hours. I can be readily available for walks, care and house sitting. I am experienced in caring for pets in the owners home - happy to keep their routine and habits so their life is easy while you are away!

“Glen did an excellent job taking care of Coco. He gave her a walk, made lunch and all the required water and bathroom breaks. We will leave coco again under the excellent care of Glen.”

“Erin does an amazing job; our greyhound Happy just loves her! She is professional and communicates very well. She's thoughtful and respectful of our home, making sure feet are clean and things are tidy. Erin is quick to respond to requests for help and flexible when my schedule changes. Stephanie is absolutely wonderful!! She took such great care of our cat while we were gone for 10 days and was so good about updating us and letting us know how he was doing. She made us feel completely at ease with the whole process and with knowing that our kitty was being so well taken care of. We will certainly be using her again and cannot say enough terrific things about her!

Audrey is the best Rover sitter we’ve had the pleasure of working with! She took the time to get to know our cats’ different personalities and often stayed longer than the amount of time we booked for. She provided extremely detailed updates with photos and videos of our cats while we were away, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you again, Audrey! We highly recommend her for your Rover needs.

Meredith was fantastic! My cat can be very shy, but from all the pictures she took, it’s clear Meredith was able to quickly get her out of her shell and enjoying herself during her visits. Meredith was very reliable and adaptable as well, helping me deal with a prolonged power outage due to heavy storms. I can’t recommend her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
