Hello! My name is Kathryn although I usually go by Katy. For many years, friends, neighbors, and relatives have trusted me to take care of their beloved pets, homes, and gardens. Now I’d like to extend my services to the greater Bolingbrook area. I have experience caring for pets of all ages including dogs, cats, and small parrots. Currently I am the proud mom of 4 cats (3 of which are geriatric) and the loving auntie to one elderly Cocker Spaniel. As such, I am comfortable administering oral and topical medications, and I take special diets very seriously. Cleaning up accidents is no problem. From high energy walks to calm snuggles, I’ve got your back!

Schedule
Currently I am only available for walks and drop-ins. Although I can be somewhat flexible in times of need, my general availability is as follows: Wednesdays 9-3pm and Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays: 9-5pm. * *I will typically respond to messages between 8am and 9pm.* *

Safety, trust & environment
*Meet and greets are mandatory.* It is essential that we make sure we are a good fit for each other before you leave me in the care of your pets and/or home. I will do my best to keep your pet(s) as happy, comfortable, and as close to their regular routine as I can! Pets will be treated with the utmost love and care as though they are my own. They will receive playtime, enrichment, and exercise if necessary. I'm not against having a high energy jog with an active dog! Special attention will be given to any health, dietary, and grooming requirements. If you plan to be gone for an extended period of time, I will gladly bring in the mail, water your plants, and make sure your home and pets are secure. Communication is key, so I will send you pictures, keep you updated on how things are going, and ask for clarification if anything comes up!
Pets
A typical day
Every pet will get plenty of scritches, pets, snuggles, playtime, exercise, and snacks if appropriate. I love a good game of fetch with any animal! For dog walks, I generally like to find a nice peaceful neighborhood to walk around so we can pick our pace and sniff all the sniffs. I'm familiar with many of the parks in this area, too, if your dog is receptive to more socialization. If you have a permit for a dog park you like, let me know! For cats, I've got a laser pointer and way too much catnip (freshly grown!) that I'm always willing to share. If your cat is receptive to contact, they will get plenty of playtime, cuddles, brushings, and nose-boops. If not, I will respectfully admire them from afar. For parrots, I love talking and whistling to them or playing music for us to jam out to! I'm happy to handle them if you give me permission.
