“We had to leave our goldendoodle for three days while out of state. She had not been left alone since being boarded at our vet 4 years ago, so we had concerns. Heather was wonderful! She came to our house twice before we left to learn our dog's habits and become familiar with her. Heather stayed at our home during our time away. She followed our dog's schedule to perfection (feeding time, potty time, nap time, bed time, play time, etc.). The day after our return, our dog was looking around for Heather. Heather also updated us regularly, including photos. I would recommend her highly, and hope to use her again.”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 16. Friends and family trust me to walk, feed and take care of their dogs. I am comfortable taking dogs for long walks around the neighborhood or to the dog park, and I have stayed in home as a pet sitter. My family has a dog and I am involved in her care and play time on a daily basis. I have a very flexible schedule and have lots of time for your pup. I am available for late morning and afternoon walks and playtime. I have an energetic 60 pound dog. I am used to walking a strong dog and can easily handle a dog that may pull. I am happy to walk your dog in your neighborhood and/or play in your yard. I will work with whatever routine your dog is accustomed to.

“Alexander took good care of Ruger and the house was in great shape when we returned. We had an unexpected family issue that delayed our departure and Alexander was very understanding as we needed some extra time to get together for our trip.”

“Sophia was great with our dogs! One of our pups had some tummy troubles while we were away and she was especially a trooper for handling that for us! Would definitely recommend!”
“I am a someone who has a hard time trusting anyone to watch my pets, especially someone I don’t know personally. Going onto Rover was nerve racking because I’ve never used a service like this before. I found Jen’s profile, saw how many clients she’s had, and more importantly, how many clients have used her multiple times. So I decided to reach out. And I’m so thankful that I did! From her easy-going manner, to the way my dogs reacted to her, her knowledge, and daily communication with pictures and videos, she was everything I was looking for and more! She put my mind at ease that my pets and home were in good hands. Thank you Jen for everything! I will definitely be working with her in the future!”

“Maya was incredible with my reactive pup, making him and me feel so comfortable! She followed every request I had and my pup loves her now! Will definitely be reaching out again for future stays!”

“Arabelle was a joy to work with! She was meticulous in her planning and knowing what needed to be done for Floki, plus making sure she had all emergency numbers and what to do in case of an emergency. She made sure Floki was was very well cared for while we were away and even brought him a new ball to play with! He was walked, fed on time and played with in our yard with frequent communications so that we could see all of the fun he was having. I would highly recommend Arabelle to anyone that needs overnight care or even daily check ins. She was just what we needed and expected for our fur family and will be using her again for future day trips and longer vacations!”

About: I’ve had cats since I was 13 and have many years of hands-on experience caring for cats with different personalities and needs. I was able to help an older rescue cat become comfortable and affectionate over time, which taught me patience and how to build trust with shy or nervous cats. I currently have a tortie of my own, so I understand how important routines, playtime, and a calm environment are. I treat every cat like my own and make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I work full-time as a paraprofessional from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and am currently earning my master’s degree in elementary education. I’m available for pet care visits in the late afternoons and evenings after 4:30 PM, as well as weekends and school breaks. For cat sitting, I’m happy to stay for extended visits and can sit with your cat while I complete my schoolwork so they have calm companionship and supervision while you’re away. My schedule is consistent and dependable, and I always prioritize keeping pets comfortable and on their normal routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their normal routines closely so they feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I provide feeding, litter box care, playtime, and calm companionship during visits. As a paraprofessional and graduate student in elementary education, I’m responsible, patient, and attentive to details and instructions. I also communicate regularly with updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe, cared for, and relaxed.
About: I own a giant king shepherd. I understand how important people’s pets are to them, so I will give them the best care I can POSSIBLE! I am extremely experienced with animals, and I also love to be active, so you may be sure that I will play with them and walk them! I am currently in full time Speech-Language Pathology school. We have a lighter second summer semester load, so I have more than enough time to fit in pet care. I also am a retired student athlete, so I am trying to find new hobbies that I enjoy! I know how to manage my time well. As the eldest of 4, dual sport division one athlete, president of student organizations, I know how to manage my time well, collaborate with people, hold a professional environment, and leave places better than I found it. I am compassionate, respectful, and my clients can be sure that I will go above and beyond my services to them. I will also protect their pets, honor what they have asked me to do regarding their homes, and keep a tidy and clean environment in their spaces.

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and have a technical certificate as a veterinary assistant. I worked in an animal clinic in Brooklyn for 2 years, where I gained hands on experience with animal care, handling, and health monitoring. I’ve also spent 3 years dog walking, caring for pets of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering basic care, and making sure pets feel safe, exercised, and well cared for while their owners are away. I have a flexible schedule and am available for drop-ins, walks, feedings, and check-ins throughout the week and weekends. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits depending on your pet’s routine. I prioritize consistency and will stick closely to their normal schedule to keep them comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for every pet. With my background working in an animal clinic, I’m confident handling different temperaments and recognizing changes in behavior or health. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding routines, medications if needed, and exercise. I adjust my approach based on each pet’s personality and always keep owners updated with messages and photos so you feel confident your pet is in good hands.
“Aidan did a wonderful job housesitting our pets! One of our dogs needed meds and he had no problem with that either. Our dogs were well cared for and our spot was spotless when we returned! Would recommend!”

About: I have hands-on experience working on two different farms and Hamden CT’s brooksvale park (all throughout high school) , where I cared for a wide variety of animals, including everything from dogs&cats - cows & sheep . I’ve kept close contact with multiple repeat costumers I’ve built lasting friendships with house sitting/dog walking for. These experiences taught me how to read animal behavior, stay patient, and provide attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs. In addition to pet and house sitting for friends and family, I grew up with four pit bulls in the house and learned how to care for them as pups aswell as in their old age. I Have had smaller pets like hamsters and guinea pigs and currently have my own small dog with a big personality I love very much (side note I can take professional photos of your dog if you’d like) I recently graduated from art school(studying fashion design) and am currently looking for work related to my degree. In the meantime, dog/house sitting and walking fits into my open schedule I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I stay attentive to feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection (including belly rubs and treats if allowed!). I’m also happy to accommodate any special routines, medications, or care instructions to make your pet feel at home

About: Caring for animals has been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home that always had two dogs at a time, and before moving out, my family had raised six wonderful dogs together. From energetic pups to older companions, I’ve experienced the full range of what it means to care for dogs through different stages of life. I currently share my home with two special-needs cats, which has taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. Managing medications, monitoring behavior changes, and creating a calm, safe environment are all things I take seriously. My primary goal when caring for your pet is simple: I want them to feel happy, secure, and relaxed while you’re away. I also know how important peace of mind is for owners. I’m communicative, reliable, and happy to provide updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and cared for. I treat every animal with gentleness, respect, and the kind of attention I would want for my own pets. I work remotely in IT for a nonprofit organization, which gives me a very flexible weekday schedule. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy having some furry company during the week. Whether that means a midday walk to break up my workday or a fuzzy companion nearby while I’m at my desk. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m happy to structure my schedule around walks, feeding times, medication needs, or check-ins. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches, and you can expect consistent updates while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your routines and instructions carefully. I follow feeding schedules, medication needs, walking routines, and house rules closely so your pet’s world feels as consistent and familiar as possible while you’re away. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident everything is going smoothly. If your pet stays in my home, their comfort and safety are my top priorities. They will have their own dedicated space in my finished basement office that is clean, hazard-free, and separate from my cats. This allows visiting pets to relax without feeling overwhelmed, and ensures everyone stays safe and stress-free. The space includes a comfortable couch just for them, plenty of room to stretch out, and a calm environment away from household noise. I’m home during the day, so they’ll receive regular supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and attention, balanced with quiet time to rest.
“Heather is great I received pictures and updates periodically about how my pups were doing while I was away! I have a few dogs on meds and she handled those perfectly. It really gives me peace of mind to know they’re in great hands !”

When I had a night shift, Christopher came and took care of my dog, Honey, and did a spectacular job! He followed every direction/request without an issue, went above and beyond by offering to give Honey medication before he left, took photos promptly, and cuddled her when there was a bad thunderstorm, will book again!

Kat was an absolutely awesome dog sitter. My husband and I were looking for someone to stay in our home last minute and care for our dogs and Kat was immediately responsive and proactive. She was timely, followed instructions, provided updates throughout the day and the dogs were very well cared for. I would highly recommend Kat as a dog walker or dog sitter. We hope to work with her again!

I was so pleased with Joo’s ability to connect with my 2 dogs. Both are rescues and have specific needs: Lizzie is fearful and very anxious; Quigley was a stray—perhaps for years—and is house trained only when his human is home. She handled both of their needs with compassion and kindness. They warmed up to Joo quickly. Joo sent my photos and videos of my kids while I was away. It was obvious that they were having a really good time. That put my mind at ease and a smile on my face.

Karria was fantastic with Peewee! She kept me updated throughout the stay with photos and videos, was incredibly respectful of my home, and was overall a pleasure to communicate with. I felt completely comfortable leaving Peewee in her care and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

I could tell my pup had such a good time during Ashly’s visit! She sent lots of updates, pictures, and videos, so I knew he was well taken care of and continuing his typical routine. She also took great care of my apartment. We will definitely be booking with Ashly again in the future!

Emily has been an outstanding cat-sitter (twice now) for my two boys. She's responsible, communicative, and attentive to the cats' needs. One of my cats is usually pretty timid with strangers, but he warmed up to her right away. She sent me daily messages, pictures, and videos of my boys, which is incredibly reassuring when I'm away from them. Emily is my first choice for future cat-sitting needs!

Davonna is AWESOME! She is communicative, punctual, friendly, and trustworthy. My gang enjoyed their weekend with her and she put my mind at ease. I’ve been using Rover for years and I never feel any less anxious when I have to find a housesitter but I will definitely book Davonna again!

Scheduled a house sit for 3 nights, but Cuong didn’t stay at the apartment overnight as requested. My cat looked like he had good care though, but he was skittish a little on our return, which may be due to the fact he was alone overnight, even though we requested Cuong to stay at our place, prior to agreeing to the call.
