“Emily is the most wonderful and loving pet sitter! She was kind enough to take care of our two cats over a week long period and everything from start to finish was perfect! She is friendly, communicative, and was great with our cats. I highly recommend her as a sitter and we plan to work with her again in the future :)”

“Catie was excellent. We booked last minute for dog-walking, because our regular sitter canceled last minute. Catie met with Gnocchi beforehand and was very professional and reassuring. No issues, always very prompt with check-in notes and photos. Would absolutely book with Catie again.”

“Carrie was absolutely amazing with Cooper. She responded very quickly to my booking request and was able to navigate my instructions to get inside. Her updates from her drop in visits were absolutely perfect! I really appreciated the updates and the multiple pictures. Her compassion can be felt through her words and her actions. Will absolutely rebook!”

“Jen took amazing care of our cat Kirby. He can be a little rambunctious and needy and she made he got his prescription food everyday at the right times. We were thrilled with Jens care and kindness.”

“Jessica was very accommodating with my relatively short notice trip. One of my cats can be very shy but he felt comfortable enough to come for most of her visits. Everything looked great when I returned home. I would definitely use Jessica again!”

About: Caring for animals has been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home that always had two dogs at a time, and before moving out, my family had raised six wonderful dogs together. From energetic pups to older companions, I’ve experienced the full range of what it means to care for dogs through different stages of life. I currently share my home with two special-needs cats, which has taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. Managing medications, monitoring behavior changes, and creating a calm, safe environment are all things I take seriously. My primary goal when caring for your pet is simple: I want them to feel happy, secure, and relaxed while you’re away. I also know how important peace of mind is for owners. I’m communicative, reliable, and happy to provide updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and cared for. I treat every animal with gentleness, respect, and the kind of attention I would want for my own pets. I work remotely in IT for a nonprofit organization, which gives me a very flexible weekday schedule. Because I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy having some furry company during the week. Whether that means a midday walk to break up my workday or a fuzzy companion nearby while I’m at my desk. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m happy to structure my schedule around walks, feeding times, medication needs, or check-ins. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches, and you can expect consistent updates while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your routines and instructions carefully. I follow feeding schedules, medication needs, walking routines, and house rules closely so your pet’s world feels as consistent and familiar as possible while you’re away. I also provide regular updates so you can feel confident everything is going smoothly. If your pet stays in my home, their comfort and safety are my top priorities. They will have their own dedicated space in my finished basement office that is clean, hazard-free, and separate from my cats. This allows visiting pets to relax without feeling overwhelmed, and ensures everyone stays safe and stress-free. The space includes a comfortable couch just for them, plenty of room to stretch out, and a calm environment away from household noise. I’m home during the day, so they’ll receive regular supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and attention, balanced with quiet time to rest.
“Alyssa was a great pet-sitter for our 3 cats. One of our cats needs medication and she was able to successfully give it to her each visit. She also went above and beyond in caring for all of our cats and spent extra time with them while we were gone. They were very happy when we got home! I would definitely book Alyssa again.”

“Joseph is great! This was our first time using Rover. Our cat Walter loved him! Joseph was always on time and sent us photos and updates promptly! Highly recommend”

“I would strongly recommend Abigail to everyone! She was extremely thorough when asking about all of our pet’s needs. She was prompt, communicative, and exceptionally friendly with us. Plus, it is so apparent how much compassion and love she has for animals. Will definitely be hiring Abigail in the future. 10/10.”

“Aidan took amazing care of our pets while we were away. The attention to detail was outstanding. I appreciate his flexibility and excellent care not only of our pets, but he looked out for our delivered packages and mail without being asked. We were very satisfied with his services and will definitely use him again.”

About: One of my first pets ever was a black and white cat named Simba, who was referred to as my sibling. In recent years I have taken care of my family dog, Tank, a small dog who lives up to his name. I have also cared for friend’s pets when they are out of town for weeks at a time. Pets are part of the family and I understand how deep the love is! I have such a respect for all animals and look forward to caring for your little sweeties :) I am currently working on a hybrid schedule that allows me flexibility during the day. I can be available for quick visits, walks and longer stays. I live in a dog friendly apartment complex with many grassy areas. I also love going on walks at nearby trails or taking dogs to parks. Cuddles are always welcome, but I also respect dogs that want their space.
About: are you in the wider new haven area? do you love your dog very much but have responsibilities of your own? let me help! i've lived with, cared for and been around dogs for most of my life, and i know how unique every pup can be. i love taking a gentle, patient, friendly approach to letting a dog learn to trust me, and i want you to trust me too! just let me know what i can do to help. i have the availability to stop by in the morning, afternoon, and evening, so i am flexible to the needs of you and your dog. i live on structure and organization, so your dog can slide right into my routine! that reliability is very important to me. i really love getting to know animals and their needs just like i would a friend who can tell me using words! i have the energy for pups who need to play and the patience for those who need to warm up to me first. every dog is different, and i let them come to me so they can learn to trust me. the trust of an animal is not something to take lightly! be detailed, let me know how best to make your dog feel cared for and i'll take care of the rest.
About: All my life, I have had an affinity for animals. Growing up, I had rabbits, ducks, iguanas, and cats. I have walked and watched dogs both big and small, ranging from chihuahuas all the way to labradors. I treat every animal as if it were my own, with great love and affection, paying close attention to their needs and personalities. I am familiar with different training styles, but I know that there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to dogs. I'm currently working freelance, so I have the freedom to set my own schedule. I can spend time with pups who prefer early morning walks, walk dogs who need a noontime break, or even house-sit for those furry friends who are most comfortable in their own homes. Caring for animals in their family's home means keeping up with routine and making sure that they are having a fun, relaxing time so as not to miss their owners too much. I pay close attention to client instructions and make sure to take the time to get acquainted with the furry friend in my care. I update clients with status updates and photos to let them know that their pet is safe while they are gone.

Christopher did a fantastic job taking care of Boomer over the past two days. He was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Boomer was comfortable and happy. I really appreciated the updates and the attention he gave throughout the stay. I’d absolutely recommend Christopher to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter!

Carrie was a fantastic sitter for our two cats. She played with high-energy kitten every time she visited, and she made sure to pay careful attention and give love to our older cat as well. Both of our cats seemed very happy and content when we returned home!

Catie was excellent. We booked last minute for dog-walking, because our regular sitter canceled last minute. Catie met with Gnocchi beforehand and was very professional and reassuring. No issues, always very prompt with check-in notes and photos. Would absolutely book with Catie again.
