About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs, having looked after them for friends and family in the past. As a genuine pet lover, I enjoy spending time with dogs and ensuring they receive the care and attention they need. Since I work from home, I can easily tailor my schedule to meet the needs of the pets under my care. I have the flexibility to accommodate walks, midday check-ins, or afternoon play sessions based on their needs. Regarding pet care, I'm all about giving each one personalized attention and tailoring activities to fit their unique needs to ensure they're happy and content!

“Thomas is such a gem!!! Book him! He’s punctual, communicates well, and is patient. My dog Cairo is not everyone’s ’cup of tea’ (not that I care, since I love him) but he’s vocal at times from excitement and has high energy as a 2 year old Aussiedoodle. Thomas arrived on time, and took Cairo on an hour long dog walk. Although it was 80+ degree humid weather with no breeze, he did it with a smile on his face. Moving forward, whenever I need a walker for Cairo (most likely 1x weekly), I will contact Thomas to check his availability. And next time Thomas, I’ll have a nice cold unopened bottled water for you. Thomas, thank you for bonding with Cairo and accepting his high energy level. Not sure if you’re told this enough, but you are absolutely amazing!”

“Michael walked my 3 year old golden retriever, Waffles, for four afternoons. Waffles sometimes pulls on the leash and sometimes not. Michael in his own quiet way was clearly in control and Waffles liked him immediately. I recommend Michael.”

“Neil has been amazing with our new puppy! We have hired him for numerous walks and we are always very pleased. He is quick to respond and he’s great with dogs!”

About: Behavior-savvy, love-driven care with a heart for every pup. As a pediatric psychologist, I provide clinical care for children with emotional and behavioral needs, and I’ve seen just how powerful patience, trust, and compassion can be. Those same skills help me build meaningful connections with dogs, whether they are full of energy, feeling anxious, or just need a bit of extra love. I create a calm, comforting space where every dog can feel safe and understood. From zoomy puppies to sweet senior companions, I’m here to care for the whole dog, in both mind and body! I am currently working remotely (recently graduated my doctorate) and have a very flexible schedule all week! Therefore, my weekly routine can be adjusted as necessary. I'm more than willing to fit my schedule to your needs. I have a very dog friendly spacious apartment. I have a dog park that is attached to my apartment and various parks around that I take advantage of for my own pup. She is one of the most well trained, socialized, and friendly dog. She is 5 years old and was potty trained in the first three days (she was 11 weeks old when I adopted her). I am very lucky to have her and excited to introduce new friends to her if you'd like!

“Katherine was a wonderful dog walker, she took so many great photos of Ricki and had a lot of great notes for each walk! I would definitely book her again for Ricki!”

“Sean was wonderful to work with and took my two dogs for a great long walk! He shared a helpful overview of their time together, i will def book again!”

About: With a lifetime of experience caring for animals—including multiple cats and a beloved dog growing up—I understand the unique personalities and needs of both feline and canine companions. I currently share my home with a sweet cat, and I treat every pet I care for like family. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, or just some comforting company, I’m here to provide reliable, loving care. I currently work full time (hybrid) as an accountant and am open to discussing a schedule that works best for you and your pet! On typical work from home days and weekends I am flexible with pet care throughout the day, and office days I am available before 7:30 am and after 5:30 pm. I value pets safety and would carefully follow instructions and limitations/resources for each pet within their home. We have an indoor cat and I understand the importance of keeping them safe!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover in North Cambridge with a flexible schedule, perfect for last minute walks or regular routines in Cambridge & Somerville. I grew up with a Labrador Retriever (Chance 🪽) and a Beagle/Basset mix (Bailey 🪽), and more recently, my family rescued a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix (Tucker) and a Blue Heeler mix (Jax). I also have recent hands on experience caring for dogs full time. I cared for my roommate’s dog full time for months; managing daily walks, feeding, and playtime. I also provided extended care for a friend’s dog, including daycare, overnight stays, and administering medication multiple times a day. These experiences helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and an attentive approach to each dog’s unique needs. What you can expect: • Reliable, on-time walks & drop-ins • Safety-first approach (leashed at all times, avoiding triggers) • I will never introduce your dog to other dogs without your explicit permission • Personalized care (pace, water breaks, plenty of sniff time!) • Photo updates every visit so you know your pup is happy I love walking the Somerville Community Path and exploring new routes, but I’m always happy to follow your dog’s favorite paths. I’ve worked with puppies, seniors, nervous dogs, and those who are reactive; I’ll adjust to your dog’s unique needs. 🐾 Message me anytime, I respond quickly and am happy to do a free meet & greet! I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time caring for your pets throughout the day (drops ins, last minute needs, and regular routines). I treat every pet like they’re my own, with a lot of attention, care, and respect for their routines. I make sure they feel comfortable and safe. I’m mindful of any rules or preferences the owner has, so pets get consistent care that feels familiar.

“Dakota was so great with my pup! She took care of my pup’s daily walks for a week on short notice, asked thoughtful follow up Q’s and gladly helped with additional tasks. Definitely book her! 10/10 :)”

About: I own one French Bulldog who I have raised and trained since he was 8 weeks old. I work from home every day and get to enjoy the little potato through all his zoomies and shenanigans. I grew up with a wire fox terrier who I also participated in training and pet sit to this day. I have also house sit a friends dogs while growing up. My daily life now consists of feeding my dog Wally twice a day, taking him out every two hours to go the bathroom, going on neighborhood walks, and enjoying plenty of active play time. I live with my girlfriend and everyday, permitting nice weather, we get outside and enjoy meeting other dogs and people. Occasional vet visits and dog parks fall into our routine too. I am currently in between jobs. So while i have study breaks. interview breaks, etc, it would be nice to help out any dogs and their owners however I can. In my home it is relatively small on the bottom floor to ourselves. We let our dog roam wherever we want and is generally always in our line of vision. We do let our dog sleep on furniture and the bed. We also have bought many boxes, etc to puppy proof our house because Wally is one nosy dog! In terms of your dog, I would abide by your rules and follow any instructions provided, whether at your dogs home or mine or out on walks.

“Melissa is wonderful! She has been our regular walker now for over a month and she is always super communicative, reliable, and kind. Our dog is a bit older and has a few health issues and Melissa is always very sweet and gentle with him. It’s clear she has a deep love of animals. We feel lucky to have found her!”

About: I've cared for my family's dogs my whole life & now have my own 1 year old pup. I am a very active girl and I have always prioritized taking dogs for long walks or to the park to let their energy out. We usually do a minimum 3 walks/day. I believe dogs deserve a good play time rather than just sitting in the house all day! I also am experienced in bathing, feeding, and giving loving attention to my dogs. I know how hard & expensive it can get trying to book a sitter in the area as I’m often paying > 60/night for my own dog. I keep my rates reasonable for exceptional care. I am studying for my board exams and currently at work on Mondays and Wednesdays until 7 pm. I am very flexible with other times during the week and on weekends and have a car if you need me to provide transportation. I live in a spacious 2 floor apartment and am close to popular dog walking spots near the wharf. If your pet has a favorite spot I would love to take them there.

About: Since college I’ve taken care of dozens of pets including my brother’s terrier/chihuahua mix Cricket. Ready to feed, walk, bathe and whatever else your pup needs. I work from home every day except Tuesday and Thursday, and am flexible on WFH days! Most weekends are free too and I’m flexible on pick up/drop offs based on your schedule. I live in a quiet neighborhood with 3 dog parks within walking distance. Plenty of safe outdoor places for pups to run and play depending on their preferences.

ELIZABETH H.
“My family has a small Chihuahua named Stella who is about 14 years old, she is a member of our family and can be skittish to strangers. We hired Elizabeth to watch her for a week while we were away and she treated Stella with the outmost love and care. Stella was quick to trust Elizabeth, sitting in her lap almost immediately. We got daily updates as to how she was doing and even a video of her having fun at the dog park. Elizabeth made us feel comfortable and at ease while being away as we knew Stella was in great hands. Elizabeth has a wonderful caring heart and we look forward to using her in the future for all doggie needs. You can count on her to take great care of any furry friend you have.”

Katherine R.
“Katherine is my dog's best friend. He loves sleepovers and walks during the day with her. He gets so excited when I tell him that she is going to take him out later that day, and he always asks to go down her street when I take him out for walks. My dog is very anxious and reactive and she does a great job of keeping him calm and avoiding confrontations with other dogs. It is hard to trust my dog with anyone, but she does such a great job with him. She also gives the sweetest updates on how he is doing with pictures and videos of him.”

Dakota D.

Anna L.
“Anna takes our dog at least twice a month for a span of 2 or more days. Cricket goes bananas when she comes to the door and happily hops in the car with her to have sleepovers. I always know when Cricket is with Anna that she is being loved, very well fed, and taken for long walks on the beach (which are Cricket’s favorite activity). Anna always takes time to play with Cricket and knows the signs she give when she needs to go outside to do her business. Anna is a responsible caretaker and I know she treats my dog like a queen when she watches her.”
