About: Animals have been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember—from growing up around my family’s German Shepherd breeding and training work, to years of rescuing and fostering both dogs and cats. I can provide continuous supervision, regular potty and play breaks, and plenty of outdoor exercise tailored to each dog's energy level and temperament. My home currently includes one calm, dog-friendly resident cat, making for a peaceful, low-stress environment where guest dogs receive focused care and affection. I have worked with senior dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens. I am experienced with administering medications and experienced with disabled dogs. I work remotely and am home full-time with a flexible work schedule. I can provide 24/7 care for your dog or cat. I am also available for walks throughout the day and week. While boarding in my home, I am able to be available for feeding or potty breaks as needed. I am able to watch the dog or cat to see what they need when. If I am providing drop in visits or walks, my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and evenings.

About: I have taken care of many different types of pets for the past 4 years. From golden labs to parakeets, I love them all a lot. I currently work 8 am to 5 pm during the week, but I am available to dog or cat sit outside of those hours. I have a small dog of my own so I am definitely an animal lover! I have done house visits many times to watch dogs when their owners are out of town and I am very careful to make both the dogs and owners and happy as possible.

About: Hi! I’m Madison, a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for animals in both shelter and home settings. I volunteered with Shelter from the Storm Animal Rescue as a behavioral assessor, where I was trained to observe animal behavior, body language, temperament, and individual needs. I also helped write biographies for adoptable animals, which gave me even more experience getting to know animals as individuals and understanding their personalities and needs. My family also fostered animals, so I’m very comfortable working with anxious, shy, or nervous pets. I understand that some animals need extra patience and time to feel comfortable with a new person. I’m very in tune with animal behavior and pay close attention to body language, comfort levels, routines, and changes in behavior so I can help your pet feel safe and relaxed. I work a hybrid-remote job and am only in the office 1-2 days a week depending on workload, which gives me a lot of flexibility with pet care and to spend extra time with your pets that may need more human interaction and snuggles! I’m absolutely comfortable working with anxious, fearful, or timid animals and will give them the patience and space they need to feel comfortable. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and in good hands while you’re away! I prioritize safe handling, secure doors and gates, and making sure pets cannot accidentally escape. I also respect your home by keeping things clean, following your instructions, and making sure everything is as you left it when I leave. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities.

About: Hello, my name is Katy and I would love to care for your dog! I just finished a term with AmeriCorps and now work part-time in the service industry. My flexible schedule means I am free to walk or watch your pup! I understand that caring for your dog means understanding their individual needs. Please don't shy away from telling me your dog's specific needs and quirks. I want to make caring for your dog a great experience for both pet andowner. I bring passion and professionalism to this job and absolutely enjoy what I do. I have had dogs all my life and currently have an elderly chihuahua. Because of his health concerns and age, I'm not currently boarding dogs at my home. However, I would love to walk and sit your pups and can assure they will get attentive and safe care.

About: I have taken care of large Akitas my whole life. They were very difficult to walk and struggle with other dogs so plenty of experience with more difficult walkers. I also currently live with a Jack Russell! Recent UVA Law graduate waiting for my job to start in January so available almost any time of day. Need more of a heads up for last minute walks to make sure I can be there, but other than that I am a trustworthy young adult with a lot of time on her hands! Handle everything I do with extreme care. I will make sure to treat your pet with the upmost care and concern necessary for any walk or check-in.

About: Hi! I’m Emily. 😊 And I’ve always been an animal lover. I grew up with multiple cats and dogs in my home. Friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pets when they’ve needed help over the last thirty years or so. I have also worked at a dog kennel where I walked and bathed dogs of all sizes and breeds. And I currently volunteer for the Humane Society where I interact with animals regularly. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well. And I work a 9 to 5 schedule Monday through Friday and I’m fully remote so I have plenty of time to regularly take dogs outside, out into my fenced in yard or to take them for both short and longer walks. I can dog sit any day though I do volunteer for the Humane Society on Friday evenings so they don’t work for me. Also, my rate is for six hours or less and then I charge an additional $5/hour for each hour after that FYI. I have a fenced in yard and can easily crate your dog if desired. I currently have one cat who has lived with a dog in the past, though I typically separate her in what I call her upstairs “kitty apartment” anyway. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs! Small or Big not a worry! I love being outside on a long walk but also don’t mind snuggling on the couch if needed!:) I do work a full time job but it’s quite flexible with being able to leave for them to be let out quick if needed! I’m free most days after 4pm and don’t start until 9am most days! I’m the kind of person to act like your dog is my dog! About: I’m an incoming veterinary student and pet owner. I’ve grown up taking care of my cat and dog and love spending my time with animals. I have worked as a veterinary assistant for the past 3 years. Daily dog walks are an important part of my routine and I have a flexible schedule. I love meeting new people and animals on the island!
