About: Growing up, I adored the family cat and dog, and was responsible for their care throughout my teen years. Cuddles and Fidget were a bonded pair who lived long, happy lives and passed within months of each other in 2020 while I was in lockdown abroad (I’m so not over it). As an adult renter, circumstances have not yet allowed me to have a dog or cat of my own. I turned to pet sitting as a way to continue connecting with these precious creatures who have so much to teach us about stillness, acceptance and the art of living in the moment. I also love reptile friends such as snakes and geckos! My work as an artist allows me great scheduling flexibility. This gives me the freedom to check in on your pets as often as they need, and keep them company throughout the day and night. Your pets are my top priority when they are in my care. I watch pets in their own home where they feel safest and can continue their routines as uninterrupted as possible during their primary caregivers absence. I talk to them and interact with them like they are my close friends - they get to know all my secrets! Having written instructions to refer back to during the stay, which are discussed beforehand with an opportunity for questions and clarification, is extremely helpful in understanding how to provide the best care possible. About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses, and have experience in oral med administration with both cats and dogs. I have a soft spot for the big dogs (they're lap-sized if you commit!) and am currently training for a half marathon, so getting good long walks or jogs in will be built into my day! I work remotely, so keeping your pretty company through the day is no problem! I start my mornings early work a run or walk so your dog will definitely get his steps in. As I'm in your home, your instructions are paramount. You know your pet better than anyone, and I am happy to keep their normal routines in place. I like getting to know each animal and their unique personality, and while I *love* giving snuggles and pets, I understand some pets prefer their space.

About: Hi! I’m Emily. 😊 And I’ve always been an animal lover. I grew up with multiple cats and dogs in my home. Friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pets when they’ve needed help over the last thirty years or so. I have also worked at a dog kennel where I walked and bathed dogs of all sizes and breeds. And I currently volunteer for the Humane Society where I interact with animals regularly. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well. And I work a 9 to 5 schedule Monday through Friday and I’m fully remote so I have plenty of time to regularly take dogs outside, out into my fenced in yard or to take them for both short and longer walks. I can dog sit any day though I do volunteer for the Humane Society on Friday evenings so they don’t work for me. Also, my rate is for six hours or less and then I charge an additional $5/hour for each hour after that FYI. I have a fenced in yard and can easily crate your dog if desired. I currently have one cat who has lived with a dog in the past, though I typically separate her in what I call her upstairs “kitty apartment” anyway. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well.

Because I currently work part-time and complete remote projects, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide walks, potty breaks, playtime, and overnight care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and love getting outside for walks, so caring for pets is something I look forward to—not something I try to squeeze into a busy schedule. I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and bedtime routines. I believe consistency helps pets feel safe and relaxed while you're away. I do not offer boarding in my home because I have a guardian dog who prefers not to share his space with other dogs. By caring for pets in their own homes, I'm able to give them my full attention while keeping them comfortable in the place they know best. I'll also treat your home with the same care and respect that I would my own. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
