“Jamie is awesome! She went above and beyond our expectations while taking care of our boys!! She is very professional and took the time to meet the boys before our scheduled dates with her. We got great pictures from her!! We will definitely be using her again”

“Alexandria has been walking my dog, Louie, for several weeks now since I’ve been recovering from knee surgery. She’s reliable, communicative, and has been great with his occasional leash reactivity. I’m happy to have Alexandria walking my dog while I can’t!”

About: After taking a break from Rover for a few years while attending graduate school internationally and working other jobs, I am back and excited to start accepting new clients and their pets once again, but now here in Madison! I have experience taking care of dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Right now I’m available part-time on Rover, my visit times during the day and evening are very flexible until late May, when I have to start restricting visits to weekends only, or past 4pm on weekdays. I will do my very best to give each pet the attention they deserve, and treat them as I would my own. As someone who has used Rover’s services to watch my cat in the past, I understand what it’s like from a clients perspective, and I try to minimize the stress while you travel for the parent and the pet by being extra communicative and sending lots of pictures!
“Anna is always communicative, professional, punctual, respectful, and, most importantly, fantastic with my animals! Both my dog and cat have warmed up to her so much in the last few months and look forward to her visit every Friday.”

“Lora was reliable and really gave extra. She came out before hand to learn the dogs and their routes. I am currently disabled and she was so helpful bringing in packages. She took each dog on extra laps if they failed to do their business the first round. We will not hesitate to call Lora the next time we need someone.”

“So very happy with walks with Carley. She is solid, confident, relaxed and positive. I have a dog who can be challenging (reactive) and she is more than up to the task!”

About: I know firsthand how hard it can be to find reliable care for your pets—I have my own pup, Reggie, and often help care for the dogs and cats of friends, neighbors, and family. My partner and I would love to help look after your furry family members so you can enjoy stress-free time away. I work from home 3 days a week so I have a very flexible schedule. I am able to do morning, evening and local drop-ins at lunch. I am very experienced with managing reactive dogs on walks as well as managing emergency situations. With clear instructions, I'm happy to accommodate any of your pets quirks!
“Ernst is super friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. We have 70 lbs adolescent pup who has a lot of energy to give. Ernst is great at keeping our pup in line. I already notice an improvement in our pet’s loose leash walking!”

About: I have been working/volenteering in doggy daycares, animal rescues, and dog sitting for the better part of 10 years - caring for animals remains my purpose in life. I have done Trap-Neuter-Release work in Miami, Feral Kitten Rehabilitation in Sauk, several different doggy daycares, and most recently a semester of veterinary technician classes at MATC. I am a college student as well as the primary home caretaker for my household. While I may be enrolled in paramedical classes and cannot be accessed 24/7, I do still have the time and energy to make some extra money and a few furry friends on breaks, holidays, and after classes. I cannot promise to always have the energy to take on an evening run - but I can promise to be able to throw a ball around in a yard or supervise them at a park for a while! I cannot board animals at my home due to my own pets and a landlord animal limit; however I am fully capable of adapting to the needs of animals within their own homes or on outings. I am fear free certified.

“Patrycja was a fantastic and professional caretaker for our dog Theo. Patrycja went above and beyond our expectations to give Theo great care and exercise, and did so consistently until we moved to a neighborhood.”

About: I have lived with large dogs my entire life and own 2 cats of my own, one of which I take for walks outside on a leash every day. I am responsible, communicative, and compassionate. Pet happiness is very important to me! I am currently unemployed so my time is very flexible, both during the week and weekends. I am usually unavailable Friday afternoons but that can be flexible as well I love caring for animals in the way that clearly makes them feel safe and happy whether it is the smallest, weirdest, or most random things. I am happy to tailor the experience to each individual pet and their owner, and take safety and communication very seriously as that is what I would want for my cats
“Kali was wonderful! Took Norman for a walk while I ran into campus for a meeting. She was right on time, and very sweet with Norman. He’s definitely a puller and she did great walking him. He was clearly sad to see her go. Would absolutely use Kali again!”

“Madi is easy to communicate with, shows up to walk our dog, Milo, when she says she is going to, and gives feedback right away. We’re very happy with her and would recommend her to anyone.”

About: Hi, I’m Ruby! I'm a Humane Society volunteer and I’ve been house sitting and pet sitting for about five years. I’m a college student planning to study animal behavior and marine biology, and I’m using this opportunity to get more hands on experience with animals while saving up for school. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and small animals, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of animals and care needs. I take pet care seriously and always do my best to follow routines and make animals feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. If you’re looking for someone responsible, experienced, and passionate about animals, I’d be happy to help! I’m currently a college student and have classes 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) in the mornings and in the afternoons. I am very flexible other than that! I am here to assist following the usual routines of the animals in my care and to ensure that they are safe, healthy, and happy.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, and fish tanks for 10 years and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality! I have experience with senior pets, puppies, and medically complex needs, and I prioritize comfort, safety, and consistency. I work from home, so I’m able to offer flexible, reliable check-ins throughout the day for your dog or cat based on their needs. I have extensive experience in house sitting and overnight care for long-standing clients, ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their home environment.
“I needed some last minute help with my senior dog, and Alissa responded back quickly and was able to help me out!! She came to meet our pets and get the layout, and helped us out almost right away! She is very kind and gentle with our Murphy and even gives our two cats some loving even though we booked her for a dog walk! As someone with OCD and anxiety, my brain and body feel comfortable and safe with Alissa taking care of our senior puppy when we aren’t at home. Looking forward to hopefully booking with her again!!”

Schenk-Atwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
We've used a few Rover walkers. Jen D is in a different league. She's on time through a Madison winter, sends the best photo updates, and actually notes Gertrude's weird butt tornadoes. What stands out is she genuinely likes dogs, not just the walk. She learned Gertrude's routine in one visit, brings her favorite octopus toy, and texts a quick recap every time: how far they went and whether Gertrude did anything she shouldn't.

I have a high energy puppy and Patrycja did fantastic with him! I appreciate that she was on time and communicative. It definitely felt like she enjoyed the walk as much as him and it was a great help to have someone get a little energy out of my puppy when I had a long day. This was my first Rover walk, and she was patient with my newness to the platform.

Lora was reliable and really gave extra. She came out before hand to learn the dogs and their routes. I am currently disabled and she was so helpful bringing in packages. She took each dog on extra laps if they failed to do their business the first round. We will not hesitate to call Lora the next time we need someone.
