About: I've taken care of and watched dogs since I was a teenager. My parents have had Saint Bernard Great Dane mixed breed dogs so I have a lot of experience dealing with giant breed dogs. When my parents current dog was a puppy, I had a lot of one on one time taking care of her especially when she was a puppy and first coming home because my parents were working and I was on summer break, this has given me an intimate understanding of the needs of puppies and how to take care of them. My parents have also always had cats and they don't always get along with the dog which has given me a lot of experience managing animals in conflict while working to make them more comfortable and get along more. I've also done a lot of work watching my partner's family dog which has given me a lot of experience dealing with dog reactivity and aggression and learning how to calm dogs down. I'm currently in between jobs so I have all of the time in the world to watch your pet! Amy schedule is incredibly flexible and I can be available for drop in visits, sitting, and other services in general and especially on weekends I can easily crate a dog if needed and I also love getting to lay on the couch or in bed with a puppy if they're allowed. I do have two cats but they can be kept in a bedroom and not interact with a dog if they are not cat friendly. If they are cat friendly, my cats love to play and would be really interested in meeting and cuddling with more dogs!
18. Kooy B.
“I have known Kooy for over 10 years, throughout which I have witnessed time and time again the extent of his compassion for both wildlife and domestic pets. His desire to put animals first, to care for them as if they were a part of his own family, never ceases to amaze me. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to feel confident in the individual watching over your pets. Kooy is trustworthy, responsible, and caring - the perfect combination for an ideal dog sitter.”

About: As a child, I had both cats and dogs in the house and we frequently took in abandoned animals, treated their medical problems, and found them homes (sometimes, that ended up being OUR home!). I have been pet-sitting and doing drop-in visits for friends and neighbors since I was a teenager and I've never met an animal that I didn't get along with. I believe that all dogs can be good dogs if they're approached in the right way. As an adult, I've fostered for rescue groups as well as volunteered, doing intake, cleaning, and assisting with medical treatment. I've done drop-in visits and house-sitting for animals with special needs that required medication, special feeding, or subcutaneous fluids. I have a close relationship with my vet and his staff as well as many other resources to help me make good decisions regarding caring for my own animals. I have two pit bull mixes that were both adopted from shelters as adults. They have some unique behavioral challenges but we've worked closely with them and made a lot of progress. I also have cats and a few other small pets. If I'm house-sitting or doing drop-in visits for your dog(s), I don't mind checking in on other critters. At home, we have cats, a gecko, a turtle, fish, and a rat. I'm a stay-at-home mom with two special needs teens that my wife and I adopted through foster care. They love animals and are a great help with our menagerie at home. Please feel free to call or text me with any questions about me or my skills. I have photos of dogs that I have taken care of, but I'm not in any of them because I'm always behind the camera! I work part-time and I have a very flexible schedule, so I can make time to walk dogs together or individually. I feed my dog on a schedule when we're alone, but she adjusts easily when we have other dogs stay with us. I have a small fenced-in yard, which my is allowed to roam free in. We have a fairly quiet neighborhood to walk in, and we live close to a couple of dog parks. We have a crate, a folding corral, and baby gates to separate spaces if we need to. I have two large dog beds and several cat beds around the house.
