About: Hi, I’m Ruby! I'm a Humane Society volunteer and I’ve been house sitting and taking care of animals for about six years. I’m a college student planning to study animal behavior and marine biology, and I’m using this opportunity to get more hands on experience with animals while saving up for school. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, chickens, goats, horses, birds, fish, and more, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of animals and care needs. I take pet care seriously and always do my best to follow routines and make animals feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. If you’re looking for someone responsible, experienced, and passionate about animals, I’d be happy to help! I’m currently a college student and in the fall and spring have classes 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) in the mornings and in the afternoons. I am very flexible other than that! I am here to assist following the usual routines of the animals in my care and to ensure that they are safe, healthy, and happy.

About: I’m an incoming veterinary student and pet owner. I’ve grown up taking care of my cat and dog and love spending my time with animals. I have worked as a veterinary assistant for the past 3 years. Daily dog walks are an important part of my routine and I have a flexible schedule. I love meeting new people and animals on the island! I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am an active person. I also keep my dog leashed and am amenable to dog’s specific needs.

About: I love animals! Really, all (except mosquitoes). I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment but I’ve had a lot of experience being a dog/cat guardian and trainer! My philosophy for pets is grounded in responsible stewardship and prioritizing that animals feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I have a masters and education specialist degree in educational psychology and work with kids with disabilities during the school year. I’m looking for some play and snuggle time while I have time off in the summer! My schedule is pretty open and variable over the summer while school is out. I’m a morning person and can do early, mid-day, and/or evening care. At my home I have a fenced-in back yard and live in a walkable neighborhood (Emerson East in Madison). I love going for good walks and hiking trails with pups. Also have a nice big deck. I’m not picky about pets on furniture in my apartment.

About: I have been working/volenteering in doggy daycares, animal rescues, and dog sitting for the better part of 10 years - caring for animals remains my purpose in life. I have done Trap-Neuter-Release work in Miami, Feral Kitten Rehabilitation in Sauk, several different doggy daycares, and most recently a semester of veterinary technician classes at MATC. I am a college student as well as the primary home caretaker for my household. While I may be enrolled in paramedical classes and cannot be accessed 24/7, I do still have the time and energy to make some extra money and a few furry friends on breaks, holidays, and after classes. I cannot promise to always have the energy to take on an evening run - but I can promise to be able to throw a ball around in a yard or supervise them at a park for a while! I cannot board animals at my home due to my own pets and a landlord animal limit; however I am fully capable of adapting to the needs of animals within their own homes or on outings. I am fear free certified.

About: I grew up with anywhere from 2-4 dogs of all sizes and medical needs, so I have heaps of experience with walks, playtime, and cuddles! I'm always the first one my friends call when they need a companion for their best friend! I have experience with older dogs, especially providing them with comfortable resting spots and lots of calm love. I work remote with a very flexible schedule for afternoon walks, play-time, and potty breaks. I can work from mostly anywhere with wifi and very rarely have meetings or time-sensitive obligations. I have experience with crate-trained dogs and can play with your furry best friend in your home, or take them to a park for some leashed playtime. I love long walks and love having a companion on my walks even more. I also enjoy running and would be happy to take your dog out on a run with me (if healthy for them).

About: From young puppies and small dogs, big dogs and rambunctious dogs, to farm animals, I have experienced it all! While in high school I worked at a doggy daycare in my local hometown and there learned how to care for a variety of dogs! I have administered medication and kept up with healthcare needs, as well as personally handled the pups that need a little more help with behavior. I’m applying to part time jobs right now, but just graduated high school so I have a ton of free time on my hands! After getting employed, my schedule will still be very flexible I pay careful attention to detail, and will make sure every single care instruction is taken seriously and done well. I’m not just here to take care of your animals, I’m there to give them the same love you give them while you’re gone! Your animals will be enriched, loved and taken care of in my care!

About: I have lived with large dogs my entire life and own 2 cats of my own, one of which I take for walks outside on a leash every day. I am responsible, communicative, and compassionate. Pet happiness is very important to me! I am currently unemployed so my time is very flexible, both during the week and weekends. I am usually unavailable Friday afternoons but that can be flexible as well I love caring for animals in the way that clearly makes them feel safe and happy whether it is the smallest, weirdest, or most random things. I am happy to tailor the experience to each individual pet and their owner, and take safety and communication very seriously as that is what I would want for my cats
