About: I love animals! Really, all (except mosquitoes). I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment but I’ve had a lot of experience being a dog/cat guardian and trainer! My philosophy for pets is grounded in responsible stewardship and prioritizing that animals feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I have a masters and education specialist degree in educational psychology and work with kids with disabilities during the school year. I’m looking for some play and snuggle time while I have time off in the summer! My schedule is pretty open and variable over the summer while school is out. I’m a morning person and can do early, mid-day, and/or evening care. At my home I have a fenced-in back yard and live in a walkable neighborhood (Emerson East in Madison). I love going for good walks and hiking trails with pups. Also have a nice big deck. I’m not picky about pets on furniture in my apartment.
“Alexandria is amazing with my dog and provides great updates each day after their daily walk. She’s reliable, shows up on time, and spends the full time. I feel so lucky to have found her!”

About: Experienced house and pet sitter with eight 5-star references out of 9 sits I booked through Trusted Housesitters in 2025-26 (link below). I have had cats my whole adult life and fell in love with dogs while spending time with my siblings' dogs. I am now a fully converted dog lover who hopes to get my face licked by every passing puppy. Down-to-earth Midwest woman with lots of common sense. I was a homeowner for almost 25 years. I am not one of those people who looks at my phone constantly so your pet will get my attention, not just my presence. On long walks I may listen to a book on tape or podcast with only one ear bud so I am always situationally aware. No substance use or bad habits other than knitting and chocolate. I am in the process of getting direct testimonials but below are reviews copied from THS website (copy and paste link to view these live on the site.) ........?promo=RAF908909&utm_campaign=house-and-pet-sitters&utm_medium=house-and-pet-sitters&utm_source=copy Carol, Wheat Ridge, CO · 18 Jan - 02 Feb 2026 Christina was wonderful with Zappa. She sent daily photos and texts. She tried everything to get him to play, moved his “step” to her bed so he could sleep with her and spent most of her time with him. She left the house spotless and even lef5 a pot of homemade soup for us. Would highly recommend. Melanie, Verona, WI · 07 Jan - 16 Jan 2026 Christina was truly wonderful!! She gave so much love to each of my four babies, and they absolutely adored her company. She took my doggos for walks and sent me videos, they were so happy and excited! My two cats were super in love with her too and slept and cuddled with her. She was very organized, communicative, self-sufficient, and left my house in impeccable shape. She has a great sense of humor too! :) Thanks a million again Christina for your super precious help and for all the love you gave to my dearest precious fur babies. Hope we meet soon again! Melanie Verona, WI · 31 Dec 2025 - 01 Jan 2026 Christina is an amazing pet sitter! She is very thoughtful about pet care and clearly LOVES animals. She took super great care of my cats who immediately felt at ease with her and slept with her, even if one of my two cats is pretty shy. She was attentionate, loving with them and left my house in a great shape! She also sent me pictures which I greatly appreciated. Thanks a million again Christina for you super precious help! Melanie Annabel, Denver, CO · 26 Nov - 03 Dec 2025 Christina was great- Nelly was obviously very content when I got home and basically ignored me for the first day- always a good sign! She was very self sufficient and I didn’t worry at all while I was gone. I would definitely recommend her for future sitters! Emily Boulder, CO · 20 Nov - 26 Nov 202 We are so grateful for the care Christina provided to our dog, cat, and home. She went out of her way to meet with us in person before the sit which gave us peace of mind. Our shy cat warmed up instantly to her (thanks to the gifts Christina brought her) and we appreciated the pictures and videos she sent us. The dog got lots of walks and was well cared for. She was thoughtful and careful with our home and was willing to adjust her schedule at the last minute during the final day of her sit. She was communicative throughout. We’d welcome Christina back any time. Elaine, Dallas, TX · 30 Aug - 08 Oct 2025 It was a pleasure to have Christina at my house in Dallas for 5 weeks. She was organized before and during the sit and responded promptly to communication. The true sign of a good sitter is when my cat ignores me when I get home, and Duffy was pretty indifferent to my return! I know that he got lots of attention from Christina. She sent photos of him, and even bought him some new toys, which was very thoughtful. She also watered my 9tiny) yard, which i appreciated during an unusually hot September-october. Suzanne, Evergreen, CO · 12 Aug - 19 Aug 2025 Christina was wonderful. She checked in and was very responsible with the dogs. She was also very flexible!! James, Madison, WI · 18 Jun - 14 Jul 2025 Christina was amazing from the initial contact, right the way through to the visit. Christina was fantastic in both her communication, cleanliness respectfulness of the house, and (most importantly) looking after our 3 cats. In speaking with her prior to the visit and her care during the housesit, as well as all the pictures and videos we received while we were away, Christina was the perfect person to take care of our fur babies. I am available for day-time visits, or overnight care. Digital nomad so I am around a lot during the day, with a flexible schedule so I can meet your pet's needs first. I will keep tabs on them, put reminders for scheduled events on my phone, and check in with them frequently outside of scheduled care, and will contact the pet owner with any and all questions. I'm good at reading their cues, love to snuggle and play, I'm happy to have them sleep with me if they prefer. I'm strict about following owner's rules and instructions. I prefer to learn a little bit about your pet's personality, quirks, likes and dislikes to provide better care--and so I can tell quickly if something is a bit off. I will communicate with you as much or little as you like, happy to send pictures. I like to be able to ask questions to make sure that I understand your pet and its needs as well as your house and its needs.

“Kali was great! She came ready and prepared. You can tell that she has been around dogs and is a natural. Mario fell in love with her instantly. I would hire Kali again in a heart beat!”

About: I had a Maltese poodle mix for about 14 years. He recently passed last Thanksgiving. I have experience pet sitting, cleaning up, grooming, and feeding. And I also have experience caring for older dogs. I’m currently studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I live on campus, local and my schedule is pretty open. “Patrycja was a fantastic and professional caretaker for our dog Theo. Patrycja went above and beyond our expectations to give Theo great care and exercise, and did so consistently until we moved to a neighborhood.”

About: Hi, I’m Ruby! I'm a Humane Society volunteer and I’ve been house sitting and taking care of animals for about six years. I’m a college student planning to study animal behavior and marine biology, and I’m using this opportunity to get more hands on experience with animals while saving up for school. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, chickens, goats, horses, birds, fish, and more, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of animals and care needs. I take pet care seriously and always do my best to follow routines and make animals feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. If you’re looking for someone responsible, experienced, and passionate about animals, I’d be happy to help! I’m currently a college student and in the fall and spring have classes 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) in the mornings and in the afternoons. I am very flexible other than that! I am here to assist following the usual routines of the animals in my care and to ensure that they are safe, healthy, and happy.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets of all kinds. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or your cat prefers a calm companion and plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I also have years of experience with senior dogs with health issues. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to get to know what makes them happiest I am a full time student in the spring and fall and normally take summer classes but this summer am saving money and taking a summer off. I have a huge amount of availability and am willing to accommodate most schedules and dates, lengths of work etc. my routine every day is walking my dog a couple miles, school work outside of the summer, afternoon walk and weekends I take her swimming at salmo pond or Indian lake. At my home I have a fenced in back yard and I have a counter surfer and a chewer so my house is always puppy proof as no doors are left open and all food and paper is pushed back by the counter. It is a no tobacco house hold and all medication, vitamins, supplements or inside a mirror cabinet. I do not purchase chewing gum with xylitol in it ever. I have extremely reliable and will answer the phone most times and if I don’t I will call back generally within a half hour. I am not afraid to ask questions about dog care if I need to clear something up. I only let my dog meet another dog if I feel comfortable with it and trust the dogs demeanor
“Lizzi was very responsive and flexible when I reached out and prompt and easy to chat with when she came by. Layla then got to go for her first walk with Lizzi which was a satisfyingly long one around the neighborhood for her. I wholeheartedly recommend working with Lizzi; we booked our next walk right away!”

“I needed some last minute help with my senior dog, and Alissa responded back quickly and was able to help me out!! She came to meet our pets and get the layout, and helped us out almost right away! She is very kind and gentle with our Murphy and even gives our two cats some loving even though we booked her for a dog walk! As someone with OCD and anxiety, my brain and body feel comfortable and safe with Alissa taking care of our senior puppy when we aren’t at home. Looking forward to hopefully booking with her again!!”

“Kaelyn was great! I was in town for a client-related travel/staying at a hotel and she was flexible for my one-off request and day-of tweaks. She's very easygoing, but has an attention to detail for when we had to switch from dog walks to drop-in visits instead. Given it was a hotel space, she was able to provide A+ care for Delphi given the temporary space/resources even I wasn't fully familiar with.”

Keely has been walking my dog Lola every Wednesday for the past couple of weeks, and I truly could not be happier with the care she's provided. I booked with very little notice, reaching out on a Monday, and Keely came over the very next day to meet Lola, learn our routine, and get to know her needs. From the start, I could tell she was thoughtful, thorough, and genuinely invested in making sure Lola felt comfortable and safe. Lola is a reactive dog, and having someone who understands reactive dogs is incredibly important to me. Keely clearly has that experience and confidence. She pays attention to every detail, thinks ahead, and has approached each walk with care and awareness. I feel completely at ease knowing Lola is in her hands. What has impressed me even more is how thoughtful Keely is about factors beyond just the walk itself. We've had plenty of rainy weather lately, and she's done an amazing job timing walks to avoid the worst of it. She's also been mindful of potential thunderstorms and how Lola might react, which shows just how much she cares about the dogs she works with. Keely has been an absolute pleasure to work with - reliable, communicative, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I'm so grateful to have found her, and I know Lola is too. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone they can trust completely with their dog.

Emily is fantastic! Our dog can get nervous around new people, so she took the time out of her day to visit before we even had walks scheduled to say “hi” to our dog and get him comfortable before she took him for midday walks. Punctual, flexible (we added a day on at the last minute when travel plans went awry), and clearly a great fit with our dog.

Lora was reliable and really gave extra. She came out before hand to learn the dogs and their routes. I am currently disabled and she was so helpful bringing in packages. She took each dog on extra laps if they failed to do their business the first round. We will not hesitate to call Lora the next time we need someone.
