About: I have a vast array of experience in dog-sitting. I grew up with a mini-schnauzer who lived until he was almost 12! My place: My apartment is pet friendly, and I will treat your pooch as one of my own. Background: My family has a background specializing in training champion hunting dogs (springers and black labs) as well, so I have a fair amount of knowledge from those experiences. Potty Breaks: I have easy access to outside, where there is a real grass patch for going out. Playtime: I work full time M-F, but have the ability to WFH most Fridays. Weekends are very flexible, I will take your dog for walks, play, it will be a much more comfortable stay than a dog-hotel. Need owners to bring their own toys. It can help if a dog has a special blanket as well or something from you (a sweatshirt) to curl up with and feel safe. Food: Need owners to bring their own food & bowls. Your furry friend won't be lonely - I'll make sure they have fun and are well taken care of! For overnight stays: would really be interested in long weekends or 2 nights only. If your dog can handle a full day on their own - I can come back during lunch breaks on weekdays to let them out. Can be discussed. Will not accept aggressive dogs. M-W: I would generally not be inclined to care for a pet during these days. Th-Fri: Much more flexible schedule, can leave work for lunch to let out your pet. Fri: I am allowed to WFH all day these days. Sat-Sun: Very flexible schedule, would likely spend all day hanging out with your furry friend! My building has top notch security - with actual security guards posted outside. We have a real grass patch, with lots of outdoor space. Right near a large park, and with various pet owners in the building.

About: From second grade until this past year, I grew up taking care of my maltese shih tzu everyday, named Ruby. She was certainly a very spoiled and loved dog! Since she passed just a couple months ago, it's been strange lacking the comfort and company that Ruby always provided me when I was alone- whether that was on long hiking adventures or just relaxing. In spite of her passing, and my overall affection for animals, I'm eagerly looking forward to finding new furry friends to take care of, play with, and join me on my walks! And aside from all my love for Ruby, she was definitely stubborn and picky so I have experience in dealing with difficult dogs, keeping patience, and figuring out how to accommodate each individual dogs needs and personality. Additionally, my sister has been on rover for years and has watched countless dogs and cats through this platform, and I've helped her out a lot, which has obviously provided me with the most relevant experience possible! I will be a junior at UW-Madison, but for now I am enjoying my summer in Madison without classes going on! Therefore, I have plenty of free time and so I'd love to fill it with caring for pets! Living at a prime location in the UW-Madison campus, and having easy access to my car means I can walk or drive to you and your pet and come to your home even if it's outside of campus. Whether your dog likes to loiter around every mailbox we pass on walks, or if they like to run, then I'm the dog walker for them! I'm happy to do a casual stroll and bathroom break, and just as happy to do long, multiple-mile walks. As I've gotten used to my whole life, I will always pick up after your dog and will make sure they stay safe and close to me by using whatever leash and collar you can provide. And no matter the weather, I'm still happy to spend the time outside with your dog! If you just need me to stop by to feed your pet and take them for a potty break outside, then I will happily pick up after them in the yard and after they are done eating. I grew up in nice home with a Mom who always taught me to keep things clean, organized, have good manners, and when at others homes to always leave things cleaner than how it was when I arrived. About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Together, we have fostered 16 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from a high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after American pit bulls, a large Newfoundland, and senior doggies who have hip difficulties and special diets. Our own dog is a 3.5 year old Aussie-beagle, so we particularly love the herding dogs. :) We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements.
