About: I’ve been a cat parent for 8 years and currently have three cats, each with their own personality and needs! One takes daily oral medication, and another has cerebellar hypoplasia (a wobbly cat). I’ve also volunteered at an animal shelter, which gave me experience caring for pets with all kinds of personalities. I work Monday-Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM. If you are near Monona, I may be able to stop in around lunchtime; otherwise, after 5 PM. I have more flexibility on weekends! Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I’ll follow routines and instructions closely, respect your home, and give your pet the time and space they need to feel comfortable with me.

About: I’ve always loved dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that means going for a long walk, playing outside, or just keeping them company at home. I’m active and love being outdoors, so I’m especially happy to take dogs on walks and give them plenty of exercise and attention. I’m dependable, communicative, and will treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I’d want someone to give mine. I’m comfortable following specific feeding, walking, and care routines, and I’ll always keep you updated while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time to fit pet care into my week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the week and on weekends. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine and schedule! I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and your home. I’ll follow your instructions closely and keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible. I’m attentive, responsible, and happy to provide updates and photos so you know your pet is safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention.

About: I've helped out at a shelter for a large chunk of my life before I moved for college, taking care of dogs and cats. I have some experience with basic training as well. I'm currently in college so my schedule changes with my classes, and outside of school i'm usually hanging out with my cats but I'd be happy to share that love with your pets as well. I try and keep any pet in my care safe, even if I'm only giving them a walk or checking in on them. I care for any pets just like they are my own.

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals. Spending time with pets is truly one of my favorite things, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality, whether that means playing with an energetic dog, giving extra attention to a cuddly cat, or providing gentle companionship to a senior pet. I believe pets thrive when they feel loved, comfortable, and understood, so I focus on building trust and creating a positive experience for them while you're away. Being around animals brings me so much joy, and I take pride in making sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for. You can count on me to provide plenty of affection, attention, and personalized care, along with regular updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in loving hands. I am currently a nursing student at UW Madison and have time throughout both the week and weekend to spend time with your pet! Typically earlier or later in the day is best for me but I am able to be flexible. I care for pets by sticking closely to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and at ease — feeding them on schedule, going on walks, playtime, and any specific instructions from their owner. I spend a lot of time giving attention and affection, whether that’s active play for energetic pets or calm companionship for seniors or more relaxed animals. I always try to make them feel safe and cared for while their owner is away. I also send updates so you know how they’re doing and can feel confident they’re in good hands.

About: If I can help your fur baby feel less anxious and taken care of, I want to help you do that. I have grown up with pets all of my life and currently have a yorkie pup of my own. I am looking to expand my network to help fur babies get the care they need. I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. I can accommodate to your and your fur babies needs. You can trust me to not only keep your dog safe, but to keep them happy and healthy. I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I’m currently a senior in college who has free time and thought I could use it to my advantage and meet some cute pets! About: Hi everyone! My name is Alexandra but I tend to go by Lexy. I have had dogs and cats and so many other animals in my household since before I was even born. My mom grew up on a big farm so she was used to being around animals. She wanted to make sure she had the same experience for my brother and I. I have been a part time dog sitter through word of mouth mainly. I just recently graduated from college with my bachelors in Public Health and am looking for a fun filler throughout my summer while I plan next steps. Animals (especially dogs) are my safe space. So please, entrust in me with your fury friend and I promise you will not regret it! I am currently only working part-time on weekends. So schedule is extremely open and extremely flexible. I am also available to do over nights as I have someone at my house who can watch my animals! I will not be offering any services at my own home as I have a pretty full house of animals. To sustain their comfort I want to keep this separate. At my house I have a fenced in yard but a large yard outside that fence the dogs are able to roam. They have an electric fence so they know how far they are supposed to go.

About: I have 2 large rescues that have been a part of my family for the last 9 years. When I lived in apartments, I helped watch other neighbors' dogs and always enjoyed getting to know them and learn about their routines, hobbies, and quirks. While my family never had a dog growing up, I love being around them now and could never go back to a life without them! Since I work part time at a local farm, and am only just getting my own farm up and running, I have a relatively flexible schedule from week to week, especially during the winter, early spring, and late fall. I am thorough when it comes to taking care of my dogs' health and safety, as well as the health and safety of all pets that are in my care. I am always vigilant about traffic while walking dogs near any roads, and am always careful of walking them near other animals. When in another's home I am respectful of boundaries and rules and always clean up after myself or any messes that a pet may make.

About: Hi! I'm AJ (Julie) the mama of Duncan, an energetic, sweet, and social Shepherd-Akita-Husky supermutt who turns 11 in August. He is a true pack animal and gets excited any time I tell him anyone is "coming over." Duncan will try to play with every dog who's down for a wrestle or run! Please note that I'm no longer taking boarding clients that are under 2 years old or unneutered. I've learned what works best for everyone, the capacity of my space, and my pup's comfort level. I like to do a meet & greet with your dog off-site, either at your home or a park. We’ll discuss the best options for everyone. Goals for our Rover experience: Comfort. Safety. Communication. Fun. Love! Dog People are the Best. A shared love for dogs has led to great friendships, and these canines teach me how to be a better human. This statement is more true with time. My Story: I've taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, ducks and the occasional reptile for friends and fam over the years. At age 10, my parents FINALLY agreed to adopt a dog, a shepherd hound mix that my bestie and I named while riding home in the van with the formerly "Belvie Joe" and a bag of Alpo. We were making up silly songs and combined the words to land on "Alphie." :) And as an adult, I am a second-time dog mom, as my former partner and I were lucky to have adopted the late, great Compay Pablito Bear, driving 6 hours to meet him and falling instantly in love. Those years in-between having a dog were rough! To fill the void, I rescued feral kittens, dog nannied for a cousin when she traveled for work, stayed at friends’ homes to watch pets while they were away, and leapt across traffic, lava and beds of nails to pet any dog in view! ;) [Sidebar: Thanks to the badass Detroit farmer Tuka who taught me how to hold a hen named Red, in Madison, I was able to carry a chicken named Poppy across the yard to her condo inside the coop in the rain. And one hot summer in the old meat packing district of Chicago, I was in charge of rabbits, ducks, hens and one very mean rooster.] I ask that your dog arrives with a collar that contains ID with name/contact, up-to-date rabies and city tags. And if your doggo has Dane County Dog Park tags + good park socializing experience, I’d love to take them with us on evening or weekend adventures. Meet and Greets Before dropping in to visit your cats or pick up a dog for walks, I will meet with you at your home and ask you to show me around. You can let me know which kitties are sneaky and which doors are tricky. Please be transparent about any concerns. If your pets are leery of strangers when you are not home, let me know this so we can strategize together. It’s important that we are all safe. If your cat does not like to be pet, but will engage with a dangling toy, great! Let me know this! If your pup is likely to run out of the crate and under the bed, let’s talk about how I can get the leash on in a way that makes them feel safe and not threatened. It’s all about love! Safety is important and I ask that parents don’t enter the yard, even if it’s your 100th visit. This eliminates any jealousy/resource guarding and subsequent behavior. In August 2024, I bought a house! It's a cozy space with a finished basement and huge fenced-in yard with a deck. The bigger space makes it easier for dogs needing quiet time away from others or to get their zoomies on. And as always, there's an endless supply of snuggles & scratches! No matter the critter, I'll happily refresh water, fill food bowls, administer medication, turn on fans, clean after their accidents, and fulfill other requests to ensure comfort. Look forward to meeting you! I am a freelance marketing writer and work from home, with flexible hours most days. I often have a dog or two draped around my neck or snuggled next to me—even during Zoom meetings! I do leave for up to an hour at a time to walk or transport dogs or drop in to care for cats. If I ever need to leave for more than a few hours, I make arrangements to have someone I trust drop in to let out the dogs. I fill my house with dog beds and furniture meant to share with the pups. Your babies can chase each other, dig for treasure in the spacious yard, or snooze and soak up vitamin D on the deck.
