About: Hi there! I moved to Fitchburg, WI in 2024 and I’m ready to start pet walking/sitting again. For years in Denver and Boulder, CO and in Lansing, MI, I helped neighbors exercise their dogs by either walking or running them while their owners were at work. For the super active dogs (for example, those who can run 4 min miles), I took them to the park to run while I kept up on roller blades. I've adopted overweight dogs and slowly trained them up to being able to hike two 14ers in a day! I'm also happy to help with simple drop in feedings and potty breaks if need be. If you're in the midst of an especially busy period at work, injured, or going out of town, I'm happy to help out with your pets. I welcome small, big, special needs, overweight, mutts, 'bully' breeds, and everything in between-I love them all. I also have two cats so I’m happy to help check in on your feline friends too. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to accommodate pet care throughout the week. I keep my Rover calendar updated regularly so that my availability is ans accurate as possible. Currently I don’t have the space to sit your dog or cat at my house but I’m happy to go check in on them at your place once or twice (or even 3x) a day as needed. I like to do meet and greets before sitting or walking your pet on my own.

About: I’ve taken care of many kinds of animals for about 4 years now. This is the first time I’m doing this on a site, however, I am very familiar with the needs of dogs and cats and am very open and understanding regarding dogs with specific and unique needs. I have raised 2 female puppies myself and have been entrusted with friends animals as well while they have been away. This is not just a “side gig” for me. Animals really bring me happiness and joy into my life and I don’t see myself enjoying anything more than this! I do have a full time job currently and don’t get home until 5pm on tues-thurs. Mondays and Fridays I work at home. I have off the weekends. I have one ESA dog of my own that would enjoy the company of other dogs in our home! I prefer to bring my pup with me when I house sit, however, if not allowed by the client, I could do house sitting at daytime! Where I spend most of my time with your pet but I wouldn’t sleep overnight at your home as I have a pet at my home.

About: Hi! I’m currently a graduate student at UW–Madison and looking for some pet-sitting opportunities—especially with dogs! I’ve been dog-sitting for about 6 years, primarily for friends, family, and referrals. Since moving to Madison last year, I’ve been excited to meet some new pups in the area! I grew up with Labradors and a Yorkie, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I really miss my dog back home, so I love any opportunity to spend time with furry friends here in Madison. Whether it’s walks, playtime, overnight stays, or cozy couch hangouts, I’ll treat your pets like my own. Weekends are generally preferred since I have the most availability then, but I’m also open to weekday opportunities if they can work around my class schedule, especially during the summer when my schedule is a bit more flexible. I’m also relatively new to Rover and currently working on building my clientele in the Madison area, so I’d love the opportunity to provide excellent care for your pets! 🐾 My weekends are when I have the largest availability as I am a full-time graduate student. Pet sitting Thursday-Sunday or Monday is my ideal timeline but I am definitely open to week long care if I am able to make it work with my class schedule. I would prefer to watch the dog in your home as I rent my current home and it does not allow animals. However, when at your home I will make sure your pup is always happy and all of their needs are met. In terms of safety, I will always have them on a leash or in a gated area when needed.

About: We are a family of four that wants to get a dog some day when our children are a bit older. We have two daughters aged 9 and 5. We love to do dog sitting so we can still enjoy a dog in our home. I am a high school teacher and my wife stays home 3 out of 5 days/week with our two young daughters. My wife grew up with Labradors and I grew up with Maltese and Terriers. We cannot wait to have our own dog again. Will your dog be the one to convince us of what type of dog we want for our family? We look forward to meeting you and treating your dog like they are part of our family! Because we do not currently have a dog and only take one dog at a time, your dog will be very well cared for and receive tons of attention and affection! **once in awhile, we may have two bookings that overlap slightly depending on pick-up/drop-off times, but if that happens we will communicate that with you! My wife is home Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with our daughters. On Mondays and Tuesdays, we are gone from 8:30-4:00. If that is too long of a period for your dog to go without a potty break please let us know! I am a teacher at Memorial highschool (just 5 mins from our home) and can easily come home during my lunch break for a quick dog walk! We have a fenced in yard for your dog to explore. Otherwise, we will let your dog roam anywhere in the house! If needed, we have baby gates and are able to section off parts of our home.

About: My love for animals started as a child going to dog shows and pet sitting for friends. I love watching shows like Caesar Milan and PitBulls and Parolees. Over the years, I have owned multiple cats with varying personalities and temperaments, petsat, and walked all sizes of dogs from chihuahuas to Irish wolfhounds. Also, I have worked with aggressive or easily overexcited breeds. If your pet is like this, just let me know and I will do my best to care for them. I decided to become a professional on Rover because I am passionate about animals and enjoy every minute with them. It also provides me with the flexible hours I need to care for my young daughters. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s)! I am currently a full time mom, but have plenty of time to play with, walk, and care for your fur babies while my girls are in school. I am available after 8:30 am for drop ins or walks. For boarding I am able to keep overnight. I have a large, fenced yard for dogs to run, play, and do their business. I can keep pets separated upstairs and downstairs if needed. I am very respectful of other's personal property if you need me to care for your pets in your own home.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since high school and have over 10 years of experience with pets of all kinds. I also started training service dogs in middle school, so I’m comfortable working with different temperaments and routines. I love making pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away! I’m currently a pharmacy student, so my schedule during the school year is structured and reliable. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting around classes and study time, and I enjoy having pets as company during quieter parts of the day. During the summer, I work but still maintain availability for pet care, especially evenings, weekends, and longer stays. I care for pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable and able to stick to their normal routine. I always make sure pets feel safe, calm, and well cared for by following feeding schedules, exercise needs, medication instructions, and any house rules closely.

About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua minpin) since birth till now (11 years old). Together, we have fostered 22 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from a high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after American pit bulls, large Newfoundlands and a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and senior doggies who have hip difficulties and special diets. Our own dog is a 3.5 year old Aussie-beagle, so we particularly love the herding dogs. :) We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.

About: I'm an animal-loving recent grad from UW-Madison, born and raised in the Midwest. I work 8–4 in behavioral health and spend my free time around animals whenever I can. I have lots of experience with both cats and dogs, they've always been part of my family growing up. I've cared for senior dogs, including giving shots, daily oral medication, and following specific feeding schedules and exercise routines. I also regularly watch high energy large dogs as well as smaller dogs. I always try to mimic each pet's normal routine so they don't feel like they're with someone new, my goal is for them to feel like they're just having a normal day, with maybe a little extra fun! I work in behavioral health care with a schedule of 8–4, and I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which allows me to do midday check-ins on your pets if needed! I'm also available to stay for longer periods at your home to provide care. During the week, I can stop by before or after work, and I'm flexible anytime on weekends. Safety and routine come first, whether I'm in my own home or yours. I keep feeding schedules, medications, and habits consistent so pets feel secure. I'm experienced with oral, topical, and syringe medication, chronic conditions like arthritis and hyperthyroidism, and keeping escape prone pets safely inside. I also respect each pet's boundaries, aiming to help them feel as comfortable as they would with their own owner! :)
