About: New to Rover, but NOT new to pet care! I have taken care of dogs, cats and other animals since I was 12 years old! I've had pets of all kinds for the past 10 years and I have also been hired to pet-sit for family, friends, and neighbors throughout middle school, high school and college! Additionally, my father owned a small dog walking business in our town while I was growing up, so I have lots of experience with walking all kinds of dogs. I am familiar with how to walk with and take care of dogs of all sizes from chihuahuas to great Danes! And I have experience working with varying ages, from puppies to older doggos who need additional care such as medication administration or walking accommodations. In addition to growing up with dogs, I've also had and taken care of cats, reptiles (lizards and turtles), rodents (hamsters, guinea pigs, rats & rabbits), and fish which gives me a wide range of drop-in visit expertise! I am familiar with how to clean liter boxes or small animal enclosures/cages, cleaning water fountains and food bowls, serving food and treats, administering medications, playing with your pet or using other forms of enrichment, etc. I am looking forward to working with you and your pet(s)! During the school year I work part-time, so I have plenty of time to hangout with your pet(s)! I am available on weekdays in the mornings from 10am-1pm or evenings from 6pm-10pm. My weekend availability fluctuates, but when I am in town I am generally available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-10pm! Over the summer (June-Aug) I work as a camp counselor, so I am unavailable during the week but have availability over most weekends : ) I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits for dogs, cats or small animals. To ensure your pet gets the best from me, I make sure that I have detailed instructions about what your pet needs from my visit and/or walk. This includes having conversations about things like how much to feed them and when, litterbox changing specifics, changing your pets water, keeping your pets areas clean, any medication instructions you have for me, where you want me to walk your dog, expectations for waste disposal, or any other specific details I need from you in order to take care of your pet!

“Jennifer was fantastic! Both dogs loved having her walk them. Can’t thank Jennifer enough for giving the dogs the attention they needed while we were away from home for the day.”

About: I currently work at a doggy daycare center, where I supervise group play, monitor behavior, and ensure dogs stay safe and engaged. I’ve also owned dogs my entire life, so I understand their needs at every stage. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, basic training, administering simple medications, and providing lots of exercise, structure, and affection. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I already work at a doggy daycare and structure my days around animal care. I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends, and I’m used to maintaining consistent feeding, potty, exercise, and play schedules. I prioritize reliability and clear communication so pet parents always know their pets are in good hands. Safety is always my top priority. Through my doggy daycare experience, I’m trained to read body language, manage group interactions, and prevent unsafe situations before they happen. In a client’s home, I respect their space and carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding routines, medications, and crate guidelines. I ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure at all times and provide a calm, structured, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and safe.

“Allegra has been walking our mastiff and doing a great job working on leash skills. We got Bixby as a rescue so he’s needed a lot of extra TLC to relearn things at 3-4 years old. Allegra totally gets him.”

“It was reassuring knowing Ellie and Riley got to go on walks while I was at work . Ashley was so great during our meet and great and really interacted nicely with the dogs! I will definitely be scheduling time with Ashley again, and consider her for overnights for short trips!!”

“We love having Katie come in to walk our dog! She does such a great job and always checks in with us if anything is new or needs to be done extra. So happy to have her as our dog walker!!”

“Hillary did an amazing job walking my shy pup and quickly won her over! In addition to being amazing with my dog, Hillary did and excellent job communicating with me about how my dog did on their walks, tactics she used to help build up my dog's confidence, and Hillary even helped clean up a potted plant that my dog had knocked over one day. I would highly recommend Hillary to anyone looking for care for their pets!”

About: I grew up in a big dog home, with dogs of all sizes and breeds (we always had 2-3 dogs in the home at a time). I have experience caring for puppies, including crate and potty training, as well as middle-of-the-night potty breaks for very young pups. I additionally have cared for very old and sickly dogs, as well as caring for Stella, one of my current dogs, following her ACL surgery. I am very experienced in dog training, teaching another one of our dogs tricks like playing dead and “speaking” on command. I hope to bring some of these experiences to help care for your fur babies:). I recently left my job, so I have all the time in the world to care for your animals while I look into what’s next! I am located in West Madison near the Hilldale mall. I currently live in an apartment, so pet care would likely have to happen in your home! I am very good with schedules for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I grew up with coyotes in the field behind my home, so I always go outside with dogs when they are let out, and have a trained eye for spotting potential predators!

About: I've had cats, dogs, fish, and rodents, and would love to share my time with even more beloved pets! I worked at a vet clinic for awhile, so safety will be my number one priority. I currently volunteer with a local cat rescue. I even worked with a wildlife rehabilitation center a few years ago, so no animal would be outside my comfort zone, although I have little experience with reptiles. I work full time during the week, but will have about 45 minutes to devote to your furry friend around midday! I am flexible before and after my job, and am often available during weekend days and holidays. I will not offer boarding services, however, I am happy to schedule my time around your fur baby to ensure that they get the love and care they deserve! I am comfortable caring for (feeding, walking, brushing, etc.) and medicating (with instruction) dogs and cats, if necessary!
“Appreciated Bobby walking my dog twice a day while I was out of town unexpectedly. Enjoyed receiving pics and the logistical updates from the walks. Set my mind at ease.”

Westmorland dog parents share their Rover experiences
Circumstances forced me to take a busy 24-day international trip, so I was grateful and relieved that Susan could be available to take my active 17-mo old Golden on daily walks. She took him every day in good weather and bad, and sent me many photos. She went above and beyond including my 14-year-old mini dachshund on some days, too. 10/10 would be glad to seek her help again!

Ryan does such an great job with our two pups. Our younger dog tends to pull ahead, and our older girl tends to want to stop and sniff frequently. Ryan helps both dogs get enrichment on their walks. He's also been a great communicator, and reliable house sitter. We will book again.
